So what’s everyone up to on this murky Sunday

I’m making myself a bacon sarnie and looking forward to a peaceful day as everyone is out and about.
Cooking a roast for later as DS1 is coming over with his girlfriend.
Hoping to cook some meals for a busy week ahead and possibly a quick gym session
Then tonight it’s that horrible Sunday evening bit getting ready that I hate

Eating a cinnamon bagel and getting ready to tidy up

ASauvignonADay · 14/10/2018 10:18

Lazy morning in bed. Out for a roast later. Should really do some laundry and housework!

hobnobsaremyfavourite · 14/10/2018 10:19

Writing 147 school reports

CoffeebyIV · 14/10/2018 10:20

Drinking posh coffee with DH after a lie in at the minute. Then off to Lidl we found we can save on our Aldi shop there. Visit to DDad and to see friends then home for stew and a box set while DH irons.

OnlyFoolsnMothers · 14/10/2018 10:21

Sod all! Once my LO is napping I’m logging in to send the odd work email, aside from that a lot of eating and itvbe. I’m not working tomorrow so don’t feel that stress of getting ready for the week

PurpleMac · 14/10/2018 10:26

Watching The Lorax with DS. He will go down for a nap in about an hour and then I'm treating myself to scrambled egg on toast for an early lunch. Then if the weather stays dry we will go for a walk to the park after his lunch and await DHs triumphant return from his first half marathon.

Takeaway tonight, he will probably want pizza which makes me sad as I'm really fancying a Chinese.

Queenofthedrivensnow · 14/10/2018 10:29

Going to Morrisons over the road in a minute to get things to make a stew in my new £10 slow cooker. Can't wait!

Then making a card to go with a gift for a pregnant friend. The dds take this very seriously.

Meeting said friend later for soggy dog walk.

When the kids are in bed I'm foam cleaning h the carpets and writing some reports for work.

All as a feckless single mother

Moving a cupboard into the spare bedroom and filling it with books.
Laundry.
Stripping two spare beds.
Emptying cupboard at top of stairs so we can move it downstairs.
Might go for a walk if it ever stops raining.

Meal plan for the week which I hate - I’m dieting, DS is fussy as a fussy thing and we always end up with the same things anyway.
Some time reading.

DH will cook roast lamb.

Nononononono33 · 14/10/2018 10:37

Have been staying with friends this weekend so after a trip to a shop we want to go to shortly and a pub lunch we have a four hour drive home! We will have Chinese food, and an episode of both suits and the cry, when we get home though, so something to look forward to.

lucysmam · 14/10/2018 10:38

Thinking about taking dd2 to town for a new coat.

First I'm going to drink my cup of coffee though and watch the rain/Mumsnet some more. Hopefully it'll stop before we walk out the door for the bus!

Later, finish homework and cook a roast.

I need to wash up, bake, iron, do a load of washing and the rest of the boring stuff at some point too (but think that will mostly wait until tomorrow since both girls have clean uniform & there are enough clean pots to last Blush )

Undercoverbanana · 14/10/2018 10:41

Just back and showered from a 15 mile run and trying to stop the chills. Seriously wet out there today.

LoveManyTrustfew · 14/10/2018 10:42

Going to a memorial match for a member of the rugby club, who had a massive heart attack at the age of 32 in the summer. Sad

hobnobsaremyfavourite · 14/10/2018 10:43

Well done undercover
Did a half marathon in gorgeous sunshine last weekend
So glad it wasn’t today

Going to Peppa Pig World.

Shoot me now 😩

VladmirsPoutine · 14/10/2018 10:44

I really need to have a nap. I've been up the whole night wired off my tits!

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 14/10/2018 10:44

Drinking coffee and eating an almond croissant after a long lie-in.

DC have homework to finish this morning, once they've "finished just this level, Mum" Hmm

Then we need to dig the house up from DH's mad reorganisation and cleaning frenzy yesterday and move some furniture into the garden room.

Cooking a chicken dinner later, to be followed by apple crumble.

YouBetterWORK · 14/10/2018 10:48

Peppa Pig in this awful weather Sad

Currently in the bath, my neck aches and last night the back of my knee started hurting for no reason. Actually it's most likely DD 8 months, getting a bit heavier and I scoop her up on the same hip all the time. and getting older bath has been ordered by DH to give my muscles a soak before I tag back in so he can finish the pile of DIY we've been putting off for ages!

swampytiggaa · 14/10/2018 10:48

I’m at work 😂😂😂

Xiaoxiong · 14/10/2018 10:48

We had a big breakfast at our local garden centre after getting absolutely soaked walking the dog.

I think we will generally bumble around the house the rest of the day - laundry, tidying, maybe watch some more episodes of the last airbender with the kids. Possibly a board game if we can muster up the energy.

And then round to our neighbors for dinner so we don't have to cook Grin

Zoflorabore · 14/10/2018 10:49

Bastarding insomnia again here so was awake at 2 then fell asleep at 4 until 10 so am all up the wall!

Dd (7) and ds (15) still asleep, have just made a cup of Yorkshire tea and taken my painkillers as I have fibromyalgia and am going to wake them up soon as they won't sleep tonight otherwise.

Nothing planned as such here, doing lots of cleaning and laundry and making sure all is ready for the week ahead. Sundays depress me a little bit.

autumnleaves1234 · 14/10/2018 10:49

Lovely warm and sunny here. Just off out for a dog walk

girlandboy · 14/10/2018 10:51

Have been to ring the bells at church. I'm not a church goer so I then sneak out the back and now I'm home enjoying a coffee while stroking the cat, who obviously won't go out in this weather Smile

Juanbablo · 14/10/2018 10:51

Dh has the unfortunate bad luck of taking ds1 to football. It's hammering down so I expect they will both be stripping off at the back door and will be wanted showers or baths when they get back.

Dd has gone to a friend's to work on a science project.

Ds2 is under a blanket watching something on his kindle.

I've just been pottering and sorting washing.

AlpineButterfly · 14/10/2018 10:52

Lazing around doing the minimum parenting possible and just general firefighting - feeling poorly and DH unavailable to help
