I’m making myself a bacon sarnie and looking forward to a peaceful day as everyone is out and about.
Cooking a roast for later as DS1 is coming over with his girlfriend.
Hoping to cook some meals for a busy week ahead and possibly a quick gym session
Then tonight it’s that horrible Sunday evening bit getting ready that I hate

I’m eating a fry up in bed and then I plan on catching up on lots of sleep! Dd is at her dads, and she’s been waking up at 3/4am all week for some ridiculous reason and I am shattered. I need to recharge before we start again tomorrow!

Oddcat · 14/10/2018 13:20

I’ve nipped into the garden between downpours to plant some bulbs , done a bit of washing , just deciding if I can be arsed to do a food shop , I’m hungry and fancy cake !

HildegardCrowe · 14/10/2018 13:22

What a lovely thread! Just come back from town with dog. Bought books and had coffee in Waterstones, then took the long way home in the rain. Now snuggled on sofa with said dog Smile It's 3 weeks since I dropped only child off at uni and thought my heart would break. But find I'm getting used to doing exactly what I want!

Lostnafraid · 14/10/2018 13:26

Looking after poorly DD who is only two and has this awful cough and cold that’s doing the rounds, she gives me a near heart attack every time she gets an attack of coughing!

Onebiteofeverything · 14/10/2018 13:26

Couple of loads of washing done
Lessons planned for tomorrow but couldn’t find the motivation to do Tuesdays which I know I will regret tomorrow evening
Class set of books marked
All while the toddler has demanded attention and DH is in bed with some over exaggerated illness.

Now that toddler is napping DH has helpfully got up and complained that there are toys everywhere!

Lolimax · 14/10/2018 13:26

Doing dinner then revision. I have an exam on Wednesday. Ugh.

GoodbyeSummer · 14/10/2018 13:34

I've made some chutney using up the last of the autumn fruit I picked. This is the 1st time I've ever made it so I hope it's alright!

Other than that, we're doing nothing apart from the usual household chores and sitting at the table with a brew watching the rain.

WheelyCote · 14/10/2018 13:38

Have a childish pityparty.....have tonsillitis.

But have found box sets of Real lives of housewives😁😁😁

Someone may need to pry me out of the house....I'm addicted and luuurvvvee them!

Yesterday was southern charm day 😳

My 16 and 18 year old ds's are mocking me

amusedbush · 14/10/2018 13:41

I ran a few errands this morning and now I'm staring at a university assignment, willing it write itself...

HollySwift · 14/10/2018 13:52

Got ExP coming over for a roast shortly, he’s taking DS back home with him after. DH and I will then take other DCs swimming and then home for tuna & cheese toasties.

Have done a little bit of cleaning/tidying, otherwise the DSs are having screen time and DD has been dancing/doing kids yoga all morning Grin

ChristmasAccountant · 14/10/2018 13:57

Been for a romp around the woods, a milkshake at the local garden centre and now chilling out watching a film.

Will make a roast later then spend hours sorting laundry, ironing uniforms and changing beds.

Rock & roll.

Ellapaella · 14/10/2018 14:05

Having a lazy day. Had such a busy week with work and have had so much on this is the first day I've had to sit down and relax.
I was going to take the kids out to the park but it's pouring down now so we might all put our wellies on and do a wet dog walk on the beach in a bit.
Other than that I've caught up on a few housework bits and am now going to play the piano for a bit while the Kids entertain themselves for a while.
Have a nice beef casserole slow cooking in the oven for tea which we will have followed by apple pie and custard.
I'm actually glad it's raining as it makes me feel better about having a day in the house doing very little.

hellokittymania · 14/10/2018 14:14

I still haven't finished my coffee from this morning, I'm having a lazy day. It has been quite a busy and overwhelming months.

I am supposed to be in Manila at the moment, but broccoli is stopped my bank card on Friday just before I went to the airport. So taking advantage of the calm and quiet for a bit. I have been writing back-and-forth with a colleague who is currently in Manila, so not all quite it completely lazy day.

I have a Lamberger, some Italian cheese, Italian cold cuts, nice vegetables, mango, and a cheesecake brownie for tonight.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 14/10/2018 14:19

It's absolutely horrible here.

Had a long lie in, as I was rather hungover. Late breakfast in local 'naice' cafe.

Now curled up with a blanket, pretending to do a Sainsbury's order but actually looking at raincoats on the John Lewis site. Unfortunately, they are all pretty horrible.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 14/10/2018 14:19

Pieminister Kevin for tea.

CaseStudyResearch · 14/10/2018 14:21

DH made homemade croissants so we’ve just had ham & cheese croissants for lunch and are having a film day in our PJs.

I’ve started Christmas shopping online and have ordered some bits for our bedroom (bedside tables & new bedding).

Making a lasagne later and some more films probably. Love a cuddly, lazy Sunday.

Justanotheruser01 · 14/10/2018 14:23

PortiaCastis · 14/10/2018 14:26

Put on my waterproofs and wellies and had a long walk along the beach then met my Mum and her OH in the pub across the road, now home and starting to peel veg for dd +ddbf + Mum and her OH for roast beef dinner later on while hoping exh doesn't show up as he's threatened too

ShowerTheHorse · 14/10/2018 14:27

We've been to visit MIL and family.

We've just got back so I'm going to start a roast soon and then catch up on my overflowing washing basket.

May have a glass of Wine whilst cooking the roast.

Wingbing · 14/10/2018 14:30

Ran my first half marathon this morning so I am doing nothing for the rest of the day, just hanging out with the family.

I feel pretty awesome right now as it wasn’t that long ago I couldn’t run at all.

catenthusiast · 14/10/2018 14:30

Recovering from a nasty kidney infection so being pathetic and lounging on the sofa this afternoon! Managed to get out to the shops this morning and DH is heading to the gym this afternoon so will probably put a film on and have a nap with a cat or two (or three!). Can't wait to be off the antibiotics!

I do love a rainy Sunday though. Feeling very cosy and warm Brew

hobnobsaremyfavourite · 14/10/2018 15:10

@wingbing that is awesome
Take it easy though and let the family wait on you Grin

Got called out by work, then took kids climbing, then got called out again, then took kids to shops for some new books. Made sandwiches for lunch and now relaxing while kids read/play.

oopslateagain · 14/10/2018 15:20

Jealous at everyone having or planning a nice roast dinner. We had ours on Friday as DD is working late shift today.

Spent this morning in Costas at the local hospital because my dad had a scan that took forever. Came home and DH has the water off and the kitchen sink dismantled to put a new tap in. At least there was a full kettle so I could make tea...

MinaPaws · 14/10/2018 15:29

Done almost nothing today. Got up really early and cleaned the kitchen, fed the cat, mopped the floor then ran out of energy. Since then, I've just drunk lots of coffee, read a novel and the Sunday papers, chatted to DC, had a shower, done a tiny bit of work. Going to make a veggie curry for dinner in a minute, and then do about two hours prep for work next week.
