So what’s everyone up to on this murky Sunday

I’m making myself a bacon sarnie and looking forward to a peaceful day as everyone is out and about.
Cooking a roast for later as DS1 is coming over with his girlfriend.
Hoping to cook some meals for a busy week ahead and possibly a quick gym session
Then tonight it’s that horrible Sunday evening bit getting ready that I hate

Hecksonaplane · 14/10/2018 10:54

Really just want a chill day as work has been manic recently and will start again tomorrow but going to head out for a round of golf before lazing on the sofa watching some netball.

Just about to pick DD up from harvest church parade, then off to mark up our Xmas tree at the tree farm

BlaaBlaaBlaa · 14/10/2018 10:59

Just waiting for DS to get dropped off as he stayed at grandparents last night.
Then it's Sunday dinner followed by the usual Sunday afternoon drinks with friends. We take it in turns to host and the kids all play together while we drink wine, play music and generally have a laugh. It means Sunday is actually one of my favourite days.

IndigoSpritz · 14/10/2018 11:10

Just having cappuccino in Costa now. A bit of shopping to do and I MUST get some piano practice in or I'll be very cross with myself (lesson tomorrow morning). Pub this evening before dinner.

Shiteatusernames · 14/10/2018 11:13

Dh and Ds2 have gone football, ds is goalkeeper so he will be minging, Dd2 is in the bath, Dd1 will be getting in the shower after, I have work later.

OddestSock · 14/10/2018 11:17

DD1 had a friend sleep over last night, so they played this morning.
DD2 was at a sleepover last night, she's come home & is playing on her recorder (FML).
DH is taking DD2 to a party this afternoon, DD1 & I are hanging out at home, looking at homework spellings, reading & baking shortbread. We've got an engineer coming to service the boiler (& hopefully arrange to fix it) at some point this afternoon

YeOldeTrout · 14/10/2018 11:21

Drinking buckets of tea. Cleaned loos & loo floors, will go swimming, may get kids to go swimming. Some things to list on Ebay, some things to buy online or declutter.
Do I really need the 2 fillings that dentist recommended? Should I pay to get 2nd opinion? Pah, may delay that decision a bit longer.

Foxyloxy1plus1 · 14/10/2018 11:26

Lots of housework and laundry yesterday whilst the weather was good. It’s pouring today, so have been to Aldi and am about to have brunch of scrambled egg and bacon. No gardening because of the rain, so will get out the knitting later and tackle a complicated pattern.

Just messing about really.

longtompot · 14/10/2018 11:27

After another bad nights sleep, am currently sitting in my pjs and dressing gown, having had my porridge and cup of tea, reading on here and watching Sat kitchen best bites and willing myself to get dressed to take the dog out for a wet wet walk.
Might see if the local shop has some stewing meat to make a casserole later (which would go well with a few glasses of red, if I weren't doing sober for october this month :( Shame, its perfect red wine weather), might watch a film later and then Dr Who.

gothefcktosleep · 14/10/2018 11:30

I (really really) wanted to go to the Christmas market that’s just opened up up the road. But since it’s raining we decided not to... plus DH is trying to tidy our bedroom that we’re trying to move back into.

So breastfeeding on the sofa whilst watching the Labyrinth and checking mumsnet. Pretty okay really.

MissMalteser · 14/10/2018 11:32

Gorgeous walk along the beach on the north coast, sitting now in a cafe having brunch :)
It’s been a long hard week so this is just the thing!

lexi727 · 14/10/2018 11:35

I have done a very very deep clean of the bathrooms. It took me 4 hours. We have one WC, one 'family bathroom' and an en-suite. My hands are dry from the bleach!!

Am now lying in front of the TV with DD fast asleep on me and DS zonked out on DH too. Will not be moving for the forceable future.

hobnobsaremyfavourite · 14/10/2018 11:36

Sorted laundry. Had a massive cuppa.

Just back from a muddy dog walk with DD 11 and DS 2, it was great.

Getting Ds to nap now and whilst he's asleep I'm going to prepare veg etc to go with our roast beef for later and tidy up.

After lunch we will visit family then come home and have dinner with DH who is working.

Then excited for Dr. Who!! It's the first series DD has watched and she loved it so it's our end of the weekend TV!

WickedLazy · 14/10/2018 11:41

It's really nice out here for about the second time in weeks, going to tidy the garden, and maybe strim a bit. I might even be able to finish painting my bench etc.

WickedLazy · 14/10/2018 11:43

Dr who here later too (how do you do the tardis emoji??) Tardis?

WickedLazy · 14/10/2018 11:43

Ooh it worked

billybagpuss · 14/10/2018 11:45

taking my dog for a swim at our local lido, can't wait

PonyPals · 14/10/2018 11:52

Cleaned half the house and 5 loads of laundry. Now just laying on the couch and mumsnetting.

hobnobsaremyfavourite · 14/10/2018 12:33

And there’s really old Nigella cooking programme on the food channel for me to binge watch Grin

I went to the gym this morning whilst DH & DS went shopping. Had brunch and played with DS. Have dropped DH at pub for an hour, so now snuggling on the sofa with DS, then PIL are coming over for dinner.

Tonight will be spent watching X-factor and starting the dreaded Christmas shopping

workshyfop · 14/10/2018 13:02

Having a lazy day as had a stressy week at work and knackered. Plus it’s chucking down. DH and DS just back from football match, cold and soaking. DD doing some crafting stuff at the table while I listen to music and mn. Laundry done and dishwasher loaded. Will cook a nice dinner for later, and walk the dog if the rain stops.

theboxofdelights · 14/10/2018 13:03

I have just put a TV on the wall, god it was complicated, well it wasn't apart from the box came equipped with about 15 different M type bolts and 15 different sets of wall fasteners. In the end I used my own wall fasteners. Anyway, I digress it has taken me 6 months to use the bracket because I couldn't get my head round it. Big achievement.

I bought a duck in Waitrose and need to find a nice recipe, also making lamb and lentil curry for dinner tomorrow.

I am not well so not up to much.

gingercat02 · 14/10/2018 13:08

Had visitors yesterday so behind on the chores. Took ds to junior park run, had breakfast. Third load of washing on now. DS and DH finishing his homework then lunch and a film probably
