How are you all today? We have a few sore heads in the pink household today, so it’s a playing in the garden day for the dc so us adults can recover from last night

Hello fatty pouring with rain here today, no idea what to wear to go out as its still bloody warm. I made the mistake of going back to sleep this morning so up really late so meds all a mess for rest of day..

I have conjunctivitis.
I'm watching criminal minds while the kids are on computers.
DP went out last night and is still in bed "dying"

Oh no Fatty Have you got any eye drops? I’ve had it before and it took bloody ages to clear up.

Me and dh are both still dying after last night too, once the dc go to bed it’s a huge take away for us

Yeah, i have eye drops. They don't seem to be doing much though despite being antibiotic ones.

Been in hospital all morning.

Doctor has no idea what is wrong with me other than "some sort of infection which caused the conjunctivitis and is now spreading to your head and throat"

So I've to continue using the eye drops, take penicillin, 30/500 cocodamol and ibuprofen and if no better by wednesday back to hospital.

fatty I'm sorry I to hear that. Did they at least take a swab to test for infection?

becca yep but it might take up to 7 days to come back.

Good, that means they're checking for rare infections as well. Sorry to be nosey, just know from experience some don't bother. Hopefully your new antibiotics will sort it!

Got an appointment with the eye clinic tomorrow. They want to check the pressure in my eye and make sure i don't have acute glaucoma.

It’s sunny today so me and the dc are currently at a zoo, who wants to see a lemur? They let you walk in with the lemurs here, they are such active little things jumping around it’s lovely. Just eating our picnic then it’s the penguins and dinosaur bit bit

I have a strep infection causing my face to swell but the eye is psuedomembrane conjunctivitis caused by adenovirus.
So they had to scrape my eye clear, i have to continue with antibiotics for the infection, use 2 different types of eye drops and hope it clears up in the next 4 or 5 weeks and go back monday morning for another scraping...

fatty I'm sorry to hear that.
Hopefully it'll clear quickly now they know what it is!
