Straw poll..

Do you like bacon?

OP posts:
Doubletrouble99 · 09/10/2018 00:14

Yes, love it. prefer unsmoked back.

BlueEyedBengal · 09/10/2018 00:23

Yes love it. My mum is a vegetarian so she says, but every one that visits her house tells me they can smell bacon and some bacon was spotted by my eldest son as she was sorting her Frozen shopping out and when asked she told him it was for me, I have yet to receive it.

MrsZB · 09/10/2018 00:33

No.

I was reading about the living conditions of pigs recently and it made me feel really sad. They have no life at all. 75% of them never see sunlight :(

ginghambox · 09/10/2018 00:35

yes

Stinkbomb · 09/10/2018 00:44

Yes! Don't have it often so a nice treat when I do!!!

BigChocFrenzy · 09/10/2018 00:48

YES please !

PlantsArePeopleToo · 09/10/2018 00:51

I do but I like piggies a whole lot more so I have stopped eating it Smile.

MarcieBluebell · 09/10/2018 00:51

Yes. Had bacon pasta carbonara for lunch.

BadLad · 09/10/2018 05:14

It's one of the most delicious foods in the world.

Love it, especially unsmoked and crispy.

Unfortunately I now live somewhere where a lot of pork is eaten but the bacon is shite.

Cobrider · 09/10/2018 05:30

Yes but I don’t eat it because of how the pigs are reared. Pigs are clever.

Babybearsporij · 09/10/2018 06:36

Yep I love it!

donajimena · 09/10/2018 06:41

I do but only the outdoor reared. I didn't realise that most pigs didn't get to see daylight or roll in mud until recently.

donquixotedelamancha · 09/10/2018 06:42

Who doesn't?

You'd be surprised. There are some damaged people out there.

DunesOfSand · 09/10/2018 06:48

Yes, and i need to geab my passport tp fet some. No bacon in this country.

My youngest moved here aged 4, and in the past 3 years has eaten minimal pork. He is unfussed by it. The rest of us binge eat when we leave the country!

Donthugmeimscared · 09/10/2018 06:57

No I thought there was something wrong with me for not liking it. Glad to see I'm not alone.

wejammin · 09/10/2018 07:12

No. Even when I ate meat I didn't like bacon. People often say 'don't you miss bacon' and I genuinely don't.

I do like the smell though.

BiteyShark · 09/10/2018 07:13

Yes

MongerTruffle · 09/10/2018 07:15

Yes, but only back bacon with the fat cut off or streaky bacon

Juanbablo · 09/10/2018 07:16

Yes I do...or I did before I became veggie.

thismeansnothing · 09/10/2018 07:16

Didn't used to. But then when I was pregnant with DD my tastes changed and couldn't get enough of it. Especially nice crispy smoked bacon. Fast forward 7 years pregnant with DC2 and I can't face the stuff

WordWeasel · 09/10/2018 07:28

It's ok. I can take it or leave it.

lostfrequencies · 09/10/2018 07:30

No

TamiTayorismyparentingguru · 09/10/2018 07:33

Nope - don’t like the smell, texture or the taste - way too salty for me. Not a fan of ham/gammon either. I genuinely don’t see the appeal and I find it funny that it’s one of those foods that people rave over.

CluedoAddict · 09/10/2018 08:54

Yes but not smoked.

Ioki · 09/10/2018 08:57

yes, but with the fat trimmed off of it or very very crispy/burnt. Trim fat off back, burn streaky. Don’t mind whatever rasher you give me then Grin
Brown sauce too please ;)
