On of the more tame conspiracy therorys my dh states as fact!!

When we were younger apparently there were no trails behind planes. I’m not sure tbh.

What do you believe?

Sorry polka, I just used the first link I found for it, didn't listen to the clip.

Nettled · 09/10/2018 23:51

I always wondered who married flat earthers. Seriously, OP, were you not dubious about having children with someone this credulous?

Ifailed · 10/10/2018 07:53

He’s honestly not thick. Just a bit obsessed with ‘the truth’.

Oh dear, he sounds like the local 'character'. Does he wander about wearing something 'quirky' like a top hat and uses divining rods to map out the local ley lines?

Soubriquet · 10/10/2018 08:01

@HopeGarden

But but but...I’m warning him on the dangers!! I mean look!

Oh, OP. Think about what you have said here Grin

ShatnersWig · 10/10/2018 08:48

And you chose to marry and have children with a man who is totally batshit?

Good move, OP

Soubriquet · 10/10/2018 09:10

Why is no one taking me seriously?!!

I mean come on! It’s a conspiracy man!

Whisky2014, "The problem is people thinking "they" of high up power are more powerful than they really are. They are just people, normal people."

Yes, that's what they want you to think. And you've fallen for it.

Oh I thought you may have married my ex. Then you said he didn’t believe in lizard men so it can’t be. 😁

SmiledWithTheRisingSun · 11/10/2018 20:18

SmiledWithTheRisingSun · 11/10/2018 20:18

It is very difficult when someone Yong love starts getting into this stuff. Anyone heard of Dutch sinse. Some earthquake prediction man on YouTube.
I honestly believe my friend is seriously ill and all the conspiracy stuff is an obsession. To help her avoid dealing with some traumatic stuff she had been thru.

user1471432735 · 16/10/2018 07:34

Isn’t your DH like, constantly drunk and or stoned OP?

From what I recall, he does nothing to care for or contribute to the upkeep of his kids, because that might take away from his weed habit... but he tunes in enough to object to the microwave and sunscreen?

The thing is, you post these little insights into life thinking he’s quirky and amusing but not realising why everyone thinks he’s an absolute fuckhead.

He’s terrible and I can’t believe you still don’t realise it

I once sat patiently listening to an older male student who described to me in great detail how he was working with the local (esteemed) university. This top secret research involved them breeding giant dung beetles. Ultimately these beetles would be trained to Scrabble under the corners of houses and then move these houses out of the danger of flooding and further up the flood plans. Pretty mind blowing stuff I am sure you will all agree, and probably very cost effective. Sadly he was in the first stages of some type of dementia.

However what really had me HmmHmm was when I retold this secret plan to my scientist, (usually) common sense DH, he pondered for a moment and then said 'you know East, if he had said crabs I could see how it would work.'
Have never been sure if he was serious or not !
