Things you have tried due to MN and failed miserably at?

Am I the only one who has tried some stuff out due to MN threads and it turned out well not good?

Today getting ready I was thinking about a MN thread I read some time ago about drying in the shower or outside the shower. Usually I dry outside however the towel we usually have on the floor has been " replaced" (I am looking at you ds) with a normal towel and it was pretty wet.. So I figured I would try what MN post had suggested and dry inside the shower.

Currently nursing a bruise on left arm where I hit it into the folding door (it folds inwards so actually not a lot of room for drying I found) Ok I think stupid of you not to close the door. So I close the door and manage to scrape my left wrist on the door frame..

I will be drying myself outside the shower in the future.. More room

i do he "mumsnet" haircut, but i have wavy hair so can get away with it! (Plus decent scissors make a difference)

Then somehow I decided to be more stupid and try the other extreme Mosley diet thing

And I got rid of my toilet brush. So had to buy another one, obvs.

Bought zoflora. Even if you use a millilitre, a small flat reeks of it for a week.

Im going to need more information about the haircut please.

Bifs - it is called the mumsnet haircut, and it is where you basically put your hair in a pony tail and then cut to one length. I did watch the youtube video once, and to do it properly is is more complicated than that, and looks as if it might work, but still... You are supposed to end up with a layered bob.

the korean exfoliating towels - painful, dead skin came off but not the main knobbly knees etc area - still looking for a body exfoliator that's life changing...

I'm another victim of the MN haircut. I had sharp scissors. It still looked crap.

I like zoflora though. And dishwasher tablets do clean my oven (when I can be arsed).

What is the Mumsnet haircut?

Did the haircut once only. It wasn't terrible but it was awfully close to a mullet.

Luckily my hair was quite long at the time and I cut the end of the ponytail only. But I still had loads of crazy layers afterwards.

So many innocent victims of that haircut. I feel like we should start a support group.

After reading the recent thread on the best ever chocolate bars, I went and bought my first ever starbar as so many MNers raved about them. It was a bit crap tbh, so I guess you could say I failed to appreciate it!

I'm glad I'm not the only one who didn't find dishwasher tablets did anything to clean my oven doors. Just made a lot of mess! I then saw the tip re the hob scrapper - now that works brilliantly!

oil cleansing (this was all the rage on MN about 10 yrs ago). It made my skin oily not clean. Private schools. I managed to find a totally awful one!
