I live by the coast and the wind is ferocious tonight, I can hear the sea getting thrown around something chronic (it woke me up).

I'm half tempted to go down and take a look

Yup, I'm awake. I must be the other side of the country, you can hear a pin drop here and it's quite warm, I have the velux open. Not a breath of air to be had. Think I'll just google the temperature. Are you getting the beginning of that storm that was in the news?

UselessTina · 18/09/2018 02:17

Mmm hmm, 19 degrees here.

CrispbuttyNo1 · 18/09/2018 02:18

I’m in Devon and the wind is quite gusty

LanguidLobster · 18/09/2018 02:19

@UselessTina oh I hadn't read about any storm - it seems quite violent though.

I’m awake, not because of anything weather related as it’s completely uneventful here but my mind won’t shut down.
Didn’t help I had a poorly DD today and ended up falling asleep in her impossibly squashed bed (approximately 4.3 million teddies!) this afternoon:
I now have a neck at a right angle (so I didn’t disturb the perfect configuration of said bears) and a mind that feels like it should be getting up time.
Pah.
Going to try audio book....

frogface69 · 18/09/2018 02:26

Not very windy here. Cough cough wheeze wheeze repeat . Terrible cold and bloody painful chesty cough keeping me up. Can take paracetamol in 10 mins so I'll try to sleep then. Doubt I will though. Winds are for cast for tomorrow.

UselessTina · 18/09/2018 02:26

There's a yellow warning at the Met office..

I'm enjoying one or two 100s Rich Teas with a cuppa. For anyone totally bored out of their head at this time I can recommend my new guilty secret - Lauren Lake's Paternity Court on Youtube. Now I've seen a few I watch the opening comments and then try to guess if the guy's the dad or not before fast-forwarding to the end. They're only 15mins each.

Zoflorabore · 18/09/2018 02:27

Liverpool here and insomnia is still driving me crazy. I have fibromyalgia and this is one of my annoying symptoms.
I've just taken pain killers and am sitting in the kitchen looking at strawberry pop tarts debating when to have some!
Cups of tea on the loop. Just put a load of laundry on and am "pottering" ( hate that word ) whilst MNing.

Yesterday was equally horrific, couldn't sleep at all, dropped off at 3.30am but was awake at 5.15 so I went to bed early last night.
Thank god im a SAHM with both dc in school as I can nap at some point in the day as I couldn't imagine going to work on such little sleep.

LanguidLobster · 18/09/2018 02:33

pickle that's so cute!

Zoflora consume poptarts ;)

I might go and wake up one of the neighbours, storm is seriously bad

LanguidLobster · 18/09/2018 02:40

I ,am awake also. but no howling winds here in Hertfordshire, I have insomnia, and also have extreme tinnitus now. Its just not fair, as I have three cats asleep at the end of my bed, cats don't get insomnia !!

Mumsneck · 18/09/2018 02:58

I’m awake. Worrying about DS Sad. Very windy outside.

brillopants · 18/09/2018 03:05

Am awake too. V windy here, woken by everyone's recycling being blown to buggery. No one seems to think to put a cover on or batten down. I put a brick on mine * rubs halo.

Cat is in but being noisy downstairs digging about in the school bags.

Am also sleepless as waiting for family court report in a day or two that could affect how we live.

Just scoffed an indigestion tablet.

There goes another recycle bin scraping down the road.

LanguidLobster · 18/09/2018 03:08

Mumsneck what's up with little DS?

I just went and woke up a confused and baffled neighbour. Quite polite considering the time of the morning! We're on a yellow warning here. Feel a bit more reassured now, storm still raging though

Failed his A’level retakes. Fed up with school. Doesn’t know what to do next and doesn’t want to talk. Just wants to games or watch videos all day.

littlepooch · 18/09/2018 03:22

No weather alert here but I'm awake feeding newborn dd and worrying about dd2. I'm also really hot but can't find the fan.

I'm a,worrier so rarely sleep well.

babyblue32 · 18/09/2018 03:29

@LanguidLobster ohhh not tonight ovbs but I'm sure when the weather it calm hearing the sea is lovely...

I've just done my second night feed 😴😴
Now have alittle chunk attached to my chest, and is being stubborn and won't bring any wind up....

icklekid · 18/09/2018 03:31

Up since 1am... Had been doing better last few nights but insomnia strikes again... New job and over thinking everything no doubt the cause. Only 2.5h until Ds up anyway

JacNaylor · 18/09/2018 03:35

Glad I'm not the only one up, can't get a decent night at the moment...... two hours and I'm done! Frustrating isn't it?

Itchytights · 18/09/2018 03:46

Me too.

Anxiety..

Beautiful

Mummy2one2016 · 18/09/2018 03:48

Awake with my toddler, who seems to consistently wake between 2&4 no matter what we do. It's calm here no wind at all. We seemed to have it crazy Saturday night into Sunday morning.

Easynow · 18/09/2018 03:51

We have it full force here, now all sleeping on lounge floor.

Why did you wake your neighbour up

GardenTools · 18/09/2018 03:54

Me too.
Had a General Anaesthetic yesterday so slept most of the day.
Windy in Wiltshire, app says 19mph but sounds much more than that.

Lollypop27 · 18/09/2018 03:59

Wide awake here too. Ds 16 has a tummy bug and has not made it to the bathroom more than once tonight Envy - not envy! I’m not sure my landing walls have ever been so clean as they have been scrubbed twice so far. The others have slept through thankfully as ds is very loud when he’s sick. He’s just had a shower and gone back to bed panicking about college as he only started last week.

@LanguidLobstsr why did you wake the neighbor up!
