should we get a super king?

Currently have a double with decent mattress which is 3 yo but next year will be redoing our bedroom (moved house since getting the other bed) thinking about the new bed.

Bedroom is 5.2m x 4m, bed is on the long wall, superking frame is around 2m. We have 1 child and another on the way, DS likes an early morning snooze with us, currently very cramped!

Anyone bought a super king bed and regretted it?

I could NEVER regret our super king bed! Hands down the absolute best purchase of our lives

We gave a king and when we move next year are upgrading to a super king. Dont know how you can bear a double

I adore our super king bed and would never go back.

To add our bedroom isn’t huge so the bed does look big in it but I’m not living in a show Home and would value more bed over more unused floor.

Only problem with having a super king bed is when you go to stay at other peoples houses and hotels - beds seem a bit small then!

Could not live without mine - means I can safely co-sleep with DS and DH can also remain in the bed. And DD fits for morning cuddles. I even think we have room for a DC3...!

Absolutely. I’d never go back to a smaller bed (well, obviously I would if I had to). When buying this house, fitting the bed in, was high on the list of must haves.
DH says we got it so I could have the two thirds of a bed I seemed to need and he’d still get half a bed 🤣

Do it! A tiny bit of extra floor space isn't worth missing out for.

Our room is slightly too small for our superking but I'd never ever get rid of it. Best thing we ever bought.

I'm so sad we couldn't have one as it wouldn't fit up the stairs even though we have space in the bedroom.

We found it too big and went back down to a king. Too far apart in a super.

I wish we hadn't bought it, I miss the closeness of our king size.

Best purchase we ever made - seventeen years later we're on our second super king.

I am not a cuddly sleeper at all (would happily have separate rooms) so doubt I'd have issues with lack of closeness.

I've had one for over twenty years. Got it to fit all six of us in first thing in the mornings. I'd never go back down to a smaller one now.

Definitely, definitely... We also made sure, when buying our house last year, that the main bedroom would be big enough to fit our bed in. We also have separate (single) mattresses and separate duvets on our bed (I am a light sleeper and DH sleeps like a washing machine so it's either that or separate beds.. which we have done in the past!). A double in my opinion is the perfect size for one!

I love out super king most as much as our children .

I got a super king this year and love it. Husband and I have to send each other telegrams from each side though :-).

Seriously it's wonderful to have that much room.
