Bridal entrance songs!

Help me find the perfect bridal entrance song for my wedding. So far I'm thinking one of these:

  1. Ben E. King - Stand by me
  2. Louis Armstrong - what a wonderful world
  3. Eva Cassidy - Songbird
  4. Christina Perry - A thousand years

Opinions? Any other suggestions?

The carpenters- we've only just begun, i really love the lyrics!
Kodaline- the one

All lovely songs - just go with your favourite. Consider though how long you want your procession to last. A friend of mine walked down to 1000 years and she was at the altar before the song really got going.

I walked down to this, summed us up perfectly.

Bruno Mars - Today My Life Begins

Oh... and out to ‘I Feel Good’ by James Brown

If you want to go with a 'classical' one - how about The Arrival Of The Queen Of Sheba by Handel ?

fairgame84 · 11/09/2018 20:25

Jaws.
This is probably why nobody wants to marry me 🙁

mrssunshinexxx · 11/09/2018 20:25

Can't help falling in love

Aprilshowersnowastorm · 11/09/2018 20:26

Registry office - we had the theme music from Game of Thrones!!

Ilikeanimalsmorethanpeople · 11/09/2018 20:28

My friend got married sat and had a thousand years as her entrance however we cut the song to play from the middle part just before "all along I believed would find you". It worked perfectly as it was a fairly short aisle and only 3 of us walking in.

Following for ideas Grin

Pebblespony · 11/09/2018 20:29

We're Irish. Had 'Tabhair dom do Lámh' (give me your hand). Nice tune, quite popular here.

liquidrevolution · 11/09/2018 20:30

Here comes the Sun by George Harrison.

I wanted that but was overruled by everyone Sad

happymummy12345 · 11/09/2018 20:31

This probably won't help but I had Here Comes The Bride. I wanted traditional

Outfoxed · 11/09/2018 20:32

The luckiest by Ben Folds but fading out before the weird bit about being an old man creeping on a kid...

ProseccoPoppy · 11/09/2018 20:32

Etta James “At Last”. It’s lovely, instantly recognisable and works really well for the entrance/aisle

iamiam · 11/09/2018 20:32

I walked down to ingrid michaelsons version of cant help falling in love with you

AcrobaticCardigan · 11/09/2018 20:33

Songbird. Beautiful for bridal entrance!

gallicgirl · 11/09/2018 20:33

I had this one.

ContadoraExplorer · 11/09/2018 20:35

I walked down the aisle to Everlong (Foo Fighters) played on strings, we both walked back to Queen - You're My Best Friend

elQuintoConyo · 11/09/2018 20:36

fairgame84 you sound AWESOME Grin

I can't remember what we had....a whole 8 years ago! I loved the ABBA song used in Muriel's Wedding - impossible for the nridesmaids to walk to Grin but she didn't care, it was a song she loved and reflected her personality.

Bumdishcloths · 11/09/2018 20:36

I had Somebody by Depeche Mode

Bobbiepin · 11/09/2018 20:38

I had Des'ree - Kissing You, and we walked back to Beatles - all you need is love

salopek · 11/09/2018 20:39

pachelbel canon in d or Wedding March. I'm a sucker for the traditional stuff. Think it's so beautiful.

For something less traditional 'somewhere over the rainbow' by Israel Kamakawiwo'ole

KeithLeMonde · 11/09/2018 20:40

We had a church wedding and classical music. If I was doing it again and having recorded music I would go for "At Last" as mentioned by Prosecco above 😊

Iwanttoseethesea · 11/09/2018 20:40

I had Somebody by Depeche Mode too !!

Smarshian · 11/09/2018 20:43

I had "kiss me" by sixpence none the richer. Still smile every time I hear it!
