I'm struggling at the moment with MH issues that are refusing to let up and part of that is I'm struggling to see the good in the world.

It must exist so I'm asking MN to help me to see it.

So far today I have,

the lovely person who sent me a lovely pm today,
the patient at the pharmacy who went and picked up my meds for me so I didn't need to struggle and,
the person who told me they care.

So, what's yours?

DS suddenly started riding his balance bike. He got it for Christmas and wouldn't go near it, then on Wednesday he started taking an interest, on Thursday we trundled up and down a quiet lane with me holding on until he shoved me off, and on Friday we did a mile around the woods with ddog. Then today, we went out with dh so he got to see it too.

Today we went and bought him a bell, as he was patting the handlebars and saying 'beep beep'! So that was pretty nice 😊

Becca19962014 · 16/09/2018 10:04

I got some sleep. It's horrible here at the moment and I'm thinking of going back to bed for an hour or so..

I can hear a DofE group walking past my house laughing, singing and giggling. Reminds me of all of the times I used to do that Grin

A cup of tea, a text that made me smile, a lazy day doing nothing, a very yummy low carb cauliflower mac and cheese, having a laugh... all high points today

MipMipMip · 16/09/2018 19:13

Sounds like thrtr gave been some lovely things going on.

Lynne1Cat · 16/09/2018 19:20

My GC stayed here overnight and woke me up with smiles (they are 7yrs and almost 4yr)

We all went out for lunch. My sons (one of them is the father of the GC) both went as well.

My husband complimented me on my new dress.

Got family photo albums down from the loft and looked through them.

I had some trifle

Becca19962014 · 17/09/2018 12:57

Yesterday's good thing was : putting out the rubbish.

So far today I've managed a difficult appointment and getting meds. Much more than yesterday. ideally I need to go shopping but honestly don't think I can.

I came back from the school run and went back to bed until lunchtime. I've just made me and dp (who came home from work for lunch) a full English.
I'm chilling on the sofa now. I feel like I need to do nothing after a ridiculously busy couple of weeks.

holycityzoo · 17/09/2018 13:34

Sorry sent to soon.
Could you do an online shop?
My mental health has not been great in the past and I remember the bad days very very well. Thanks

Rememory · 17/09/2018 13:43

I got a refund for my Dad for something he had an automatic renewal for and didn't realise. He's been worried sick about it and they've charged him three times so is £200 out of pocket. He's embarrassed as it's happened before and he was so grateful that the money will be refunded. I nearly cried that it had worried him so much. I love my Dad and am so lucky to have him around. He's a good thing in my day! Take care OP x

Rememory · 17/09/2018 13:45

Meant to say my Dad is 85

Becca19962014 · 17/09/2018 14:34

No online shopping here. So it's going to shop or whatever is left lurking in the cupboard or fridge!

My favourite favourite FAVOURITE shampoo & conditioner were on BOGOF.

Verbena87 · 17/09/2018 15:46

soaceraiders I like everything about your post Grin

Sharing my breakfast with the baby.

Managing to fit a quick run in and sweating my way up the hill that defeated me last week.

Reading Agatha Christie on the sofa (somehow feels like less of a guilty pleasure now autumn’s setting in)

MipMipMip · 17/09/2018 17:32

Cupboard meals are good Becca. You've done loads today so should be proud.

TomHardysNextWife · 17/09/2018 17:39

I went for a nice walk with the dog earlier in the sun. It was so nice to feel the warmth on my skin. I've been poorly in the last week and it's the first time I have walked without my chest aching.

It's so easy to miss the simple pleasures in life when the crap weighs you down OP Flowers

Becca19962014 · 18/09/2018 12:32

So far today: I managed to get shopping (in wind so no easy task on sticks!) and got chocs for Christmas (yes I know it's early, am trying to look beyond today, difficult as it is right now).

Oh and I put a thread on here about something that's causing me distress and problems medically, I don't think anyone can actually answer but I've done it. I've been putting off doing a thread here for months about it.

Am exhausted.

SneakyGremlins · 18/09/2018 12:33

Well done Becca! Flowers

Good idea getting chocolate now Grin

Becca19962014 · 18/09/2018 12:53

I wanted to get the small limited edition quality street tin which sells out really quickly. I got one last year as they were put out and a week later they were all gone (I wanted one as a present) and never back in stock. They're small but as I have diabetes it'll last me over Christmas assuming I do eat them before then

OP posts:
SneakyGremlins · 18/09/2018 13:05

Never had quality street.

Celebrations however.... except bounty and snickers
