I'm struggling at the moment with MH issues that are refusing to let up and part of that is I'm struggling to see the good in the world.

It must exist so I'm asking MN to help me to see it.

So far today I have,

the lovely person who sent me a lovely pm today,
the patient at the pharmacy who went and picked up my meds for me so I didn't need to struggle and,
the person who told me they care.

So, what's yours?

Well done. I know how hard that is!

The big stuff gets overwhealming is the problem I'm having and I'm concentrating on that instead, hence the thread, it forces me to look for good things!

  1. Making gradual progress taming the two semi wild cats I have just adopted.
  2. My DP. He makes me smile every day.
  3. One of my friends is arriving from Germany tonight.

@Becca19962014. Thank you for this thread. Onwards & upwards.

I had another lovely breakfast, DS2 got his disabled child trolley without my having to argue with staff, he's off school today so we had fun looking at Halloween stuff. I don't have to go out again today because DD walks home. 😆

Verbena87 · 01/10/2018 13:22

Walking to the post office in blinding sunshine after relentless dreary grey yesterday.

The baby realising he could use his chopped cucumber as tiddlywinks and firing it all over the kitchen. He should have eaten it and I should have discouraged him, but he was delighted with himself and it was hilarious.

PhilomenaButterfly · 01/10/2018 14:29

😂

MinaPaws · 01/10/2018 14:30

Today:
the cat is back from the vet after three days and nights and a bill that cancels a holiday. But he's well. He's purring and he;s wobbled outside to sunbathe under his favourite bush. DS2 who has ASD - the cat is his best friend - will be so delighted when he gets back from school. can't wait to tell him.

MipMipMip · 02/10/2018 10:23

Oh that's lovely that he's back and ok Mina. Hope DS2 was as delighted as expected.

My mum has been away (I live with her). She came back yesterday so I was woken with a cup of tea. Grin

MinaPaws · 02/10/2018 12:01

DS2 was delighted. They cuddled on the sofa all night long.

PhilomenaButterfly · 02/10/2018 14:45

Yet another lovely breakfast.

DD's got swimming today and DS2's got PE and basketball club, which they love.

I've had a tour of DD's 2nd choice secondary school, it's as lovely as her 1st, if slightly larger. Still tiny, though.

I've bought myself an eyeball flower hairclip.

Becca19962014 · 02/10/2018 14:47

I got to see my GP as emergency appointment.
The person who picked up the £10 the machine rejected when I went to pay that shot across the shop and I couldn't catch.

went swimming with a lovely friend today, then for jacuzzi and steam afterwards. She knows a place you can do all that for just £4!

MipMipMip · 02/10/2018 20:49

Hope it went well worth the doctor Becca.

Yesterday I made a rare effort and made a nut roast. Which meant but roast and Apple sauce sarnies today. A very messy slice of heaven. Grin🌮

MipMipMip · 02/10/2018 20:49

Nut* roast sarnies! Blush

Because of this lovely thread, over dinner I've started getting everyone to say 3 good things that have happened to them every day. It's always really sweet.

Today:

  1. Had lovely chats with DS2 on the school run;
  2. My hair finally looks nice again after its recent cut;
  3. My lasagne was apparently AMAZING. I wouldn't know, as I resisted its siren calorific call and made a (lovely) tomato soup instead.
MipMipMip · 02/10/2018 20:59

That is such wonderful idea. 😀

Becca19962014 · 02/10/2018 21:45

whats that's a great idea. I try to write things in my journal every day as well as here. Sometimes I borrow from other people.

mip I got some antibiotics and, it went as well as it could really as they just examined me and gave me the prescription, got to go back Thursday.

I just want to add the lovely people, including those here who have been supportive of me with my (what I now know to be) tonsillitis.

Yesterday a stranger gave us Lego cards at the checkouts in Sainsbury's

Today the DCs played Rock Paper Scissors with our spare Lego cards and it was really fun Grin

PhilomenaButterfly · 03/10/2018 16:56

Had a lovely lunch with DM, spoke to DS1 on the phone, both my younger DC are at after school club today, which makes them happy, and we'll all have supper together when DD gets back.

Yoksha · 03/10/2018 18:02

Here's my 3 positives:

A lovely old gent, a complete stranger, spent 10 mins talking with me.
My grandson called to say he's motivated in his new job & settling in.
My friend who's been ill is going back to work tomorrow.
🙌 😸

MipMipMip · 03/10/2018 19:43

I was fed up of getting four boobs so I ordered a cheap sports bra. Not a bad fit at all which in my size is hen teeth rare. Yay!

SneakyGremlins · 03/10/2018 19:55

Aldi have started selling Spekulatzius! Reminds me of growing up in Germany Smile

PhilomenaButterfly · 03/10/2018 20:27

Are they like speculoos?
