Up early Sunday- what are you doing today?

Just about to jump into the shower, OH and I will go to the supermarket, then Ikea for breakfast at 9am, love the coffee there. Teen kids got in late last night and will sleep until lunchtime.

OH is cooking later, pulled pork or a beef roast- I have some work to do ( but I work from home and it is huge fun), otherwise a relaxing Sunday.

What are you all up to?

Aldi shop when it opens at 10, then a bit of housework and ironing, then Masterchef catch up as I've only seen the first one, then make ahead some meals for the week but I will make time for a sofa snooze this aft. Haven't decided on what's for tea and forgot to take chicken or beef out of the freezer.

speakout · 02/09/2018 07:52

Oh I didn't realise Masterchef had started again. I must catch up.

Still unpacking a mountain of boxes from my Mum's house. She died three weeks ago and I'm trying to absorb years of stuff into our house.

Rocknroller1234 · 02/09/2018 07:53

Watching cartoons with DC - I drew the short straw and had to get up!

catenthusiast · 02/09/2018 07:54

I'm going to have some breakfast and coffee and then we need to go to Aldi and paint our kitchen! We put new cupboard doors on yesterday and it needs a refresh. Might do a little bit of work later while DH cooks a roast.

Auldspinster · 02/09/2018 07:54

At work doing overtime, up since 5.30 but the double time helps.

Bloodylucky · 02/09/2018 07:54

I’ve been up since 1.27am. My Dd had a horrific car accident yesterday - she walked away with cuts and bruises but she was incredibly lucky. I can’t sleep and I feel sick. I’m also sitting weeping. Not crying. Just tears.

Not quite what anyone wants to see written here sorry it’s so self indulgent.

Pinkyponkcustard · 02/09/2018 07:56

Travelling home from a wedding, no hangover but feeling tired.

Been a fab trip though staying with a single mate with no kids it’s been like being 20 again. Lots of 90s music, snacks and downtime to read/chill. Would have never have done that at home

MrsMozart · 02/09/2018 07:56

Being grotty as have head cold and been awake for far too long. Whinge.

Will snooze then drag self off to check horses before back to a sofa. Want to get some planning work done for a client as the week is going to be busy. If head has cleared will walk dogs later - there's three of them and they're all walked separately so have to gird m'loins ConfusedGrin

What is your work speakout?

Pinkyponkcustard · 02/09/2018 07:57

Flowers for bloody lucky - you sound like you are in shock- is there someone with you?

8DaysAWeek · 02/09/2018 07:57

Currently having breakfast with the toddler while DH has a lie in. Then will go clothes shopping later this morning in preparation for a trip this weekend. The local fire station have an open day so going to pop down with DS this afternoon. Then the rest of the day prepare for the week ahead!

Rockbird · 02/09/2018 07:57

Trying to get an appt at the emergency dentist. Have had the worst toothache of all time for the last two days and haven't slept or eaten at all. I'm terrified of the dentist but I'll shoot myself rather than go through another 24 hours of this.

Other than that, parents are back from holiday today and our temporary puppy goes back to his owners!

thefourgp · 02/09/2018 07:57

I got keys to my new house on Friday so I’ll be stripping wall paper and painting all day. I’m really proud it’s the first house I’ve ever bought by myself and my kids love it. My ex is meant to take the kids once a week on a Sunday but yet again he contacted me last night to say he refusing to take them. I’ll be packing lots of toys in the car to keep them amused whilst I work. He’s not going to ruin my excitement about our lovely new home. Have a great Sunday everyone. X

Church this morning (the first task is waking DD and having the weekly argument about wearing something smart), then going to visit my DB for lunch and a walk around the local park.

Some studying this evening, probably with the TV on in the background. Vanity Fair has been forbidden - we're going to watch it together on catch up - so whatever other fluffy Sunday evening programme is on.

BetterEatCheese · 02/09/2018 07:59

Lazing around reading until dd wakes up then lunch and out to a local festival to catch up with friends.

MollyHuaCha · 02/09/2018 07:59

Feeling unwell. Sipping herbal tea whilst watching the birds in the garden.

MrsMozart · 02/09/2018 07:59

Bloodylucky have a gentle hug lass.

8DaysAWeek · 02/09/2018 07:59

Bloody lucky wow that must have been so scary. I totally get how you can't sleep

GertrudeCB · 02/09/2018 08:01

Been awake for 20 mins or so, will have a coffee then walk dog.
Rest of the day will be spent getting my clothes ready for work next week ( ironing ) and helping DD start packing for Uni.
Will do a no- fuss roast later on.
DH is sorting the front garden, doing his ironing then doing the dogs late walk. Will probably have family dropping by at some stage.

Childrenofthesun · 02/09/2018 08:02

Church with the kids then would like to do something nice as it's sunny and the last day we all have together before school goes back. Can't think what to do though!

BirdyBedtime · 02/09/2018 08:02

DH is at work and my DPs are staying so boring morning while they read their papers (when they finally get up). Out for lunch to local garden centre then off to Aldi for shop when they leave. Make sure puppy doesn't chew any of DPs stuff. Spend half the day saying no when DS asks to go on x-box. Make roast dinner then ironing DCs school shirts this evening. God my life is on the edge Grin.

Bloodylucky · 02/09/2018 08:02

I’m on my own - well she’s upstairs asleep. I have a new boyfriend - I don’t even know that I’d call him a boyfriend yet - but he was fantastic yesterday - really supportive.

The road was slippy she was coming home in the morning she had been out and stayed over - road was slippy with grease from rain (do you know what I mean?) she came round a bad bend and lost it Car flipped on its roof went on to it’s side and skidded along she had to climb out the (broken) window.

She has a cut on her head and a cut on her wrist. Bruises from the seatbelt. That’s it. The car is a write off.

Vicky1990 · 02/09/2018 08:04

Hello Lucky.
I hope your Dd is ok.
Best wishes to you, be strong.
Thinking of you.
M.

glenthebattleostrich · 02/09/2018 08:04

Bloodylucky, please make sure you are with people today, this is a shock reaction and they can be dangerous. Look after yourself, sweet milky tea (it actually does help), biscuits and toast. And let it all out. [Thanks]

Today, I was up early to clean up after my new puppy. Then 10 minutes in the garden with her. Food shop is being delivered between 9 and 10, so I need to clean the fridge out. Then a client is coming to meet puppy so she isn't overwhelmed tomorrow.

After lunch we are off to the pet shop to buy food and more toys (yes she is already incredibly spoilt), putting some lovely lamb in to slow roast for dinner, taking DD to a swimming party where I've agreed to get in the pool Hmm then tea and preparing for next week. Very busy Sunday 😣

Kerberos · 02/09/2018 08:05

School starts again for dc3 tomorrow and somehow collectively we forgot he needed new shorts at the end of last year so there's some last minute shopping to do.

Aside from that, painting downstairs loo, coffee with a friend and final prep for school for Dc1 and 2. Maybe squeeze ep1 of new Masterchef Aus.
