Up early Sunday- what are you doing today?

Just about to jump into the shower, OH and I will go to the supermarket, then Ikea for breakfast at 9am, love the coffee there. Teen kids got in late last night and will sleep until lunchtime.

OH is cooking later, pulled pork or a beef roast- I have some work to do ( but I work from home and it is huge fun), otherwise a relaxing Sunday.

What are you all up to?

I have been mostly awake since about 4.30, because DD2 decided she wouldn't sleep unless I was next to her. This is not unusual, but usually I sit there for a bit until she falls asleep then creep back to my bed, not today though, she woke up and cried every time I moved.
We are going to a relative's birthday party today, and I have to clean the house because my mum is visiting tomorrow (that will take some time).

Bloody lucky - what an awful weekend for you. It does sound like pp said that you’re a bit in shock. Sweet tea and crumpets should help with it. Be kind to yourself this week hey

Bloodylucky · 02/09/2018 08:08

Thanks all. I’m having toast and tea :) I will probably have a nap later if I can.

OrlaAddict · 02/09/2018 08:09

Bloodylucky What a fright you must have had. Take care of yourself x

Trying to stop WW3 between the DCs which has been going on since 6.30am. DP at work this morning so will head to the park this morning to tire them out. School uniforms in wash and sorting out bags etc for Tuesday. Then en masse family lunch later. Will be drinking a glass of wine or three to celebrate the end of the school holidays(!)

DelurkingAJ · 02/09/2018 08:12

Up since 7 with DC watching cartoons. Roast beef and a wash to get on soon as it’s early lunch as DH has to go into school all afternoon (boarding school). Need to think of something to do with DC...also need to label new school uniform and nursery gym kit.

stegosauruslady · 02/09/2018 08:13

I was up with the lark this morning as this unborn baby decided to kick merry hell out of my bladder until I woke up. I'm most productive in the mornings (before anyone has spoken to me!) so I have made everyone muffins for breakfast and done a bit of sorting out.

Lazy morning for us here, then DP and his friend are doing some big DIY jobs on our kitchen (new oven next week...more exciting than it should be!). Probably pizza or indian for tea to reward the friend for helping.

DDs will be getting stuff prepped for school, playing with enchantimals and squabbling.

Kee80 · 02/09/2018 08:14

Just got back from Greece at 2am this morning, awake at 7am 😴 so lots of washing to catch up on before back to work tomorrow 😞

Snoopychildminder · 02/09/2018 08:18

Taking DD to local leisure centre for a swim at 10am, maybe get a coffee and muffin on our way out, home for a nap, (hopefully!!) and then maybe a movie on the sofa. I like very slow Sunday’s Smile

DunesOfSand · 02/09/2018 08:22

I'm in the middlec east. Today is a working day. So, ive sent the kids off to school with packed lunches, DH is at work. Ive dropped off some old toys at a friends house, and done a load of washing.
Need to clean the floor (hate this job, the whole house is tiled), make some biscuits, and find the kids spelling books last used in june...

BarryTheKestrel · 02/09/2018 08:22

Woken up with a nasty sore throat so trying to fix that, however being 35 weeks pregnant means I can only have paracetamol.

DD is insisting on watching really irritating videos on YouTube and DH is still in bed.

However my sister is coming to pick us up midmorning and me and DD are off to lunch with my brother and grandparents. DH is having a quiet afternoon at home with neither of us around, I'll be doing the same later on in the week (very much looking forward to that!).

bluechameleon · 02/09/2018 08:23

DH and I are going out for brunch to celebrate our anniversary while PILs look after DC. Then visiting god children then dinner with my parents later.

holycityzoo · 02/09/2018 08:24

That's awful bloody sending huge hugs.

I'm in bed in Spain on the last day of a 4 day break with dp without our 4 kids. It's been lovely but I'm ready to go now I miss the kids so much.
Going to for breakfast then hit the beach.

gingeristhenewblack43 · 02/09/2018 08:26

DD slept in my bed last night as she's feeling grotty with a cold. After kicking me all night she woke at 6 Hmm we're having a lazy morn then will go out to a localish museum this afternoon as there is an event on she wants to go to. Hoping for an early night and the bed to myself tonight!

dementedma · 02/09/2018 08:29

have to work today at at an event so will be heading over to Glasgow to put up our gazebo, flagpole and various bits and pieces and spend the day chatting to people. this will take the whole day but is overtime so will be worth it

HeyMicky · 02/09/2018 08:29

Some gardening this morning then DD1 has a birthday party. Not sure if parents are expected to stay for this one - if not then there's a a tip run and trip to Costco to fill the time. Labelling school uniform later this afternoon.

melissasummerfield · 02/09/2018 08:31

Up since 7 ( a lie in 😩 ) with my 3 under 5 dc.. just waiting for them to finish breakfast them will be getting washed and dressed to go and give tag rugby a try! Then me and DH are going to the cinema this afternoon, rare break from parenting and Jason Statham.. winning 😂

OrcinusOrca · 02/09/2018 08:32

Going to Starbucks to try the new autumn drinks, then to buy ingredients to try making peanut butter fudge. I don't like it but DH loves peanut butter and he's been a diamond the last couple of weeks. No idea what's for dinner today will sort that out later after a nice long dog walk. Should really clean the chickens out too...

Kewqueue · 02/09/2018 08:32

Bloodylucky Flowers

I am on a campsite in the South of France. Weather is lovely and want to go to the beach but dd is ill!

Idontbelieveinthemoon · 02/09/2018 08:34

I'm recovering from a mild hangover with Steve Backshall on tv in some kind of jungle. It's not helping much.

We're off out for lunch with friends later, then I have to organise 47 million items of school uniform ready for Tuesday.

I love nothing-y days like this.

Kbear · 02/09/2018 08:35

I was up early as my dad moved to Cyprus yesterday and she text me at 6 to tell me about it

I'm trying to go swimming but I'm so tired

Kbear · 02/09/2018 08:35

Dd not dad

theboxofdelights · 02/09/2018 08:36

I have spent 90 mins doing my second Ocado order (switched to them last week). It will save time in the long run but clearly not much at the minute! At least I can have it deliverered at 9pm tomorrow (late night at work).

Lunch with my parents today which I am really looking forward to, then a bit of work tonight to try to save my sanity tomorrow.

Oh and planting bulbs if I get round to it. A 'Sherbert' tulip selection amongst others, I think I have got 250 bulbs to plant!

Kim82 · 02/09/2018 08:36

I currently have a house full of kids (7 in total), we had a mass sleepover for the end of the summer holidays and I have a 14yo, 13yo, 3 x 11yo’s, 5yo and a 4yo here at the moment. Once they’re all gone around lunch time I need to go and buy school stationary, tidy up the carnage and just generally get organised for work and school this week.

ProudThrilledHappy · 02/09/2018 08:38

Had a very rare night out last night. Ds woke me up this morning to show me a “hilarious” video on YouTube and now I can’t get back to sleep.
So hungover Sad

MillieMoodle · 02/09/2018 08:39

Taking DH's nan out for breakfast at sainsbury's and to do a little bit of shopping. Need to get new trousers/polo shirts for DS1 who is back to school later this week. I've got some work to do later which I don't really want to do, but it will hopefully make next week slightly less manic in the office. Need to do the meal plan/shopping list and order online shop. Going to take DSs out on their bikes this afternoon as DS1 has only just starting trying to pedal even though he's nearly 8. Will paint my nails later on ready for next week at work too. Also got to go to the toy shop to get DS2s birthday present as his birthdays is next week. It was supposed to be a quiet Sunday but we keep thinking of more things that need doing!
