Up early Sunday- what are you doing today?

Just about to jump into the shower, OH and I will go to the supermarket, then Ikea for breakfast at 9am, love the coffee there. Teen kids got in late last night and will sleep until lunchtime.

OH is cooking later, pulled pork or a beef roast- I have some work to do ( but I work from home and it is huge fun), otherwise a relaxing Sunday.

What are you all up to?

Been awake since about 4 ish :( drinking lots of coffee! Then finishing decorating the nursery, quick Aldi food shop and a nice walk with the dogs

vampirethriller · 02/09/2018 08:41

Chatsworth Show today!

wendz86 · 02/09/2018 08:44

Managed to get a lie in with kids this morning as we were at a bbq till late for them yesterday .
Today need to do more washing from holiday and might take kids to park for a bit .

anon138 · 02/09/2018 08:45

Up since 4am potentially going into labour. A few mild cramps and a lot of backache. Due date was yesterday. Hopefully i'll have a bundle of joy by the end of the day! Smile

PipeTheFuckDown · 02/09/2018 08:47

Dtoddler has a cold and is very grumpy. Have a few loads of washing to do, so will do those inbetween cuddles and films with toddler.

Elder 2DDs are at their Dads till 6pm.

And I’ll be trying not to worry about the fact that the council hasn’t allocated new school places for them yet (moved areas so I can attend University) and hoping that I get the catchment school as they’re the only 1 out of the 6 local ones that have full wrap around care. Daycare for toddler is sorted as she’s going to a Nursery on campus.

MysweetAudrina · 02/09/2018 08:48

Going to do a Pilates class and a yin yoga class. Then home to prepare lunch. I'm doing sugar free September so will have to put a bit of thought into my food prep.

Kids back to school tomorrow so rest of the day will be spent cleaning bedrooms, covering books and putting name tags on uniforms.

gilmoregal · 02/09/2018 08:50

Currently watching morning TV, with a cuppa while baby rolls around on mat infront of me. Absolutely exhausted baby had an awful night teething.

Plan to make Joe Wicks chicken pie for dinner but otherwise we're all having a lazy Sunday I reckon.

Lucky, sounds like you're in shock. Cup of tea and a biscuit and pop in and look at daughter to remind you she's home, safe and well. 💐

Raven88 · 02/09/2018 08:55

I'm on holiday and it's laundry day.

thatsmycustard · 02/09/2018 09:05

Today is for running errands here. Need to pick up plimsolls for PE kits, sort the clean washing, food shop. Early dinner as I’m trying to get bedtime back to a decent hour before school starts.

ProudThrilledHappy · 02/09/2018 09:05

Good luck @anon138!

letsdolunch321 · 02/09/2018 09:08

DP is off to work soon- my day looks like this ... washing, bulk cooking for the week, clearing out wardrobe of my clothing, cleaning kitchen cupboards, mow the lawn maybe catching on any programmes missed during the week.

Now I have written it all down, it is a busy one.

Taffeta · 02/09/2018 09:08

thebox - do you not wait until after the first frost to plant tulips, to prevent tulip fire disease?

I’ve had a lie in - bliss.

Shower in a minute. DC still asleep. Then ironing and miking lunch for BIL and family who are coming over. Gloriously sunny here so planned roast accompaniments will be cold fodder.

Taffeta · 02/09/2018 09:09

Making not milking Grin

Tisfortired · 02/09/2018 09:10

DS woke us up at 6:00! So we've had bacon and egg rolls. DP and DS now downstairs colouring up before we head out for school shoes (wish us luck...)

Then to ikea for new crockery and anything else that falls into that abyss of a blue bag Wink

TheMagicTorch · 02/09/2018 09:11

Up with morning sickness so watching a movie with tea and toast. Then a bit of housework and visiting DPs grandparents later 😊

Isentthesignal · 02/09/2018 09:11

Last full day of our holidays - teens have requested a mammouth sleep in so dh and I are going for a stroll and some breakfast, then it’s a train to the beach and dinner. We

TheMagicTorch · 02/09/2018 09:12

@Tisfortired make sure you remember the crockery, my favourite trick at ikea is buying all the tat except the one thing I went in for 😂

NapoleonsNose · 02/09/2018 09:15

Off to Dunelm to get the last few bits DS needs for university. Catch up with friends this afternoon then back home for roast pork.

HollySwift · 02/09/2018 09:16

We had the best sleep time from DS2 (who has ASD) last night in years, so we really made the most of the evening and had a ridiculously late night Grin So just woken up.
We’re having a lazy breakfast then packing a picnic off to a National Trust place. Home after for a roast chicken dinner and I might make some sort of crumble for pudding.

Last weekend before school and we’re all feeling very sad. Sad But I do absolutely adore autumn and I’m slightly looking forward to being able to clean the house! Grin

olderthanyouthink · 02/09/2018 09:17

Bloody BrewCake try and have a little rest and see if you can drop off (watching drivel on the tv helps)

anon exciting, fingers crossed 🤞

I'm still lying in bed, want to go to the flower market but it's a bit of a trek if I go I'll end up with several more plants a Trees in the flat. Also want to do some baking and if I was being really good I'd try and write an app (am a developer, need to expand skills).

annandale · 02/09/2018 09:18

Best wishes anon...

Ds on a sleepover and out at the Proms last night, thought i would sleep in but somehow awake at 545. Slow coffee but now in full housework mode as my mum is staying in my bedroom tonight. Haye giving up my bed but it's payback time. Shes not here til 5 so time to catch up. Seeing a friend for her 40th and will hope to get some exercise in the sunshine.

BellMcEnd · 02/09/2018 09:20

Morning everyone! Flowers to you bloodylucky, that sounds awful for you and your DD. Good luck to anon.

We’re off to Church then straight to my MIL’s for lunch. We’ll come home mid afternoon to watch a film and so that I can label 6731789647853 bits of school uniform. Yay.

Helpmeyouyetti · 02/09/2018 09:20

Dd having an early morning meltdown again (sn)

Then taking other dd out to Hyde park with cousins.
Dh will be doing housework and cooking today.

This Summer has been shit.

TowerRingInferno · 02/09/2018 09:35

HavelockVetinari · 02/09/2018 09:38

@vampirethriller we went to Chatsworth yesterday, it was ace!

Today I'm taking DS to Mass then we'll meet DH and go for a walk, perhaps a dip in the river, then a pub late lunch/early dinner.
