CBB 'punch' incident. Views?

Not sure about this as it is highly irritating to have someone jumping around you pretend to 'box' and he could have poked her by accident. She was in a car accident recently and could be tender there. Some could say she had a right to complain even though he was obviously not deliberately trying to hurt her.

The asking for him to be removed from the house (if she did that) and claims that he'd 'beaten her up' were a complete overreaction of though.

Used to always watch CBB but haven't for the past couple of years as it's totally gone downhill and just seems to be out for ratings, trying to be as outrageous as possible.
Have seen footage on Twitter though of the Roxanne incident.
I think it's really telling the sheer amount of celebrities speaking up on there, hardly anyone has a good word for her.
Awful to accuse people if they've really not done anything, reputations and lives on the line, messing with people's emotions.

Singingtherapy · 01/09/2018 15:21

The only acceptable response to witnessing a violent assault is to call the police. Not to say 'that behaviour was unacceptable and if you do it again you'll be asked to leave'. In other words bb knew full well that no assault took place. They were just colluding with her false allegations to add to the pantomime. The programme and roxanne are toxic and vile.

Mrbatmun · 01/09/2018 15:29

I do think RP has behaved pretty appallingly over this whole thing.

But I do think that it's interesting that everyone is baying for her blood now, but no one seems to give a fuck that Dan Osborne threated to put his girlfriend in hospital and told her that 'I will end your life' and is generally an abusive arse hole?

birdsdestiny · 01/09/2018 15:35

I didn't know that mrbatmum, so they put two people in the house who threaten and harrass women. Fucking hell. Something like this is what they wanted.

StarWarsHolidaySpecial · 01/09/2018 15:35

I think lots of people give a fuck about that but lots don't know. I didn't till I read it on a thread. Whereas the Roxanne stuff is currently highly publiscised and being discussed on pretty much every media platform which elicits more attention to it.

Mrbatmun · 01/09/2018 15:39

Yeah it's funny that a rather major reality TV star threatening to murder his girlfriend wasn't that well publicised isn't it?

I'm not really one for whataboutery, and like I said I do not wish to defend RP at all, but it is interesting to observe the way that males and females are treated differently for their actions.

StarWarsHolidaySpecial · 01/09/2018 15:42

It would have been if he'd threatened to murder her while being filmed for a TV show.

IHaveBrilloHair · 01/09/2018 15:46

Her behaviour was absolutely awful, I can't imagine anyone doing that unless they have mental health problems or are just plain nasty.

Hayles88 · 01/09/2018 15:46

MissVanjie

ugh so much internalised misogyny in comments on sleb bollocks. anyone who watches this lowest common denominator shit is complicit. this and the laughing at deluded people on X factor/britain's got talent etc is the modern equivalent of bear baiting and guided tours of bedlam. if you keep watching it, they'll keep making it. just say no.

Says the poster, whose username comes from a contestant on RuPauls drag race Hmm

PrefabSprouts · 01/09/2018 16:04

I quite liked her, I fell for the little sweetheart act. However, I watched a few episodes and you could see that she's actually quite sly and manipulative and that she loves the drama.

But I was shocked at how easy it was for her to lie and how quickly she twisted a little 5 second air-boxing play fight into a painful and sustained physical assault. I'm not sure what her aims were, accusing someone of attacking her when they obviously didn't, and on camera, it must have been a risky gamble, which didn't pay off for her this time.

I know someone like this, she lies about people to suit her version of events, and that scares me. Some of the things she's made up were awful and mud sticks. I've avoided her since I found out what she was like, I don't even like to be in her company now.

ManicUnicorn · 01/09/2018 16:11

Why do people on mumsnet always support the women involved, even when they are in the wrong? Some women are really, horrible and unpleasant people in exactly the same way that some men are.

He didn't even touch her, if he had he'd have been thrown out immediately. They've chucked out people for less in the past. She has a grudge going back ten years with Ryan, because she dated his best friend and treated him badly. The best friend was also only 16 to Roxanne's 23, to give you a picture of just how warped she fucking is.

I mean 16. He was a child for Christ's sake!

BoneyBackJefferson · 01/09/2018 16:14

Mrbatmun

I don't follow the cult of zeleb so I couldn't tell which narcissistic arsehole has done what to whom. And who is currently feuding with who.

This is everywhere. As have been the other violent incidents in BB and CBB.

Toyboysrus · 01/09/2018 16:14

i don't watch the show but I've just watched the footage of the incident out of curiosity.
Who is the blonde lady in a pink top right beside them? Surely she can confirm to viewers and housemates what actually happened?

TwistedStitch · 01/09/2018 16:14

Dan Osborne is despicable too and shouldn't be in the house.

I'm especially angry at the Roxanne thing because male violence against women is a fucking epidemic, she has represented DV charities in the past, and she has just handed ammunition to the arseholes around who claim women are always lying about assault/ rape etc.

TrippingTheVelvet · 01/09/2018 16:15

I don't like armchair diagnosis but it certainly comes across as if she has some type of personality disorder.

DioneTheDiabolist · 01/09/2018 16:16

I haven't seen any much support for her here.Confused

Thesearmsofmine · 01/09/2018 16:22

The Dan Osbourne stuff was a few years ago(not that it excuses it) which is why it isn’t currently in the news or being discussed, at the time it was all over the celeb news. He is horrible.

Roxanne has acted terribly, i feel for Ryan who needs reassurance that he did nothing wrong.

Redglitter · 01/09/2018 16:26

Are you reading the same thread as I am because I haven't seen her being supported. Quite the opposite in fact

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 01/09/2018 16:27

I didn’t know that about Dan. I will admit I do tend to have my head in the clouds at times.
However I've never liked him any way,to be honest. The words smug big headed and cunt spring to mind.

StarWarsHolidaySpecial · 01/09/2018 16:27

I think a LOT is going to come out about Roxanne.

IhatetheArchers · 01/09/2018 16:27

Will this woman's actions mean that other women are less likely to believed when they disclose domestic violence?

IHaveBrilloHair · 01/09/2018 16:29

I knew that about Dan, I don't like him either but surely this thread is to discuss Roxanne's awful behaviour?

Ginger1982 · 01/09/2018 16:29

Dan is an arsehole.

For some reason, Roxanne makes me angrier though. She's on Celebrity island with Bear Grylls soon (obviously filmed before BB)

BonnesVacances · 01/09/2018 16:31

A girl bullied by her at school has tweeted about karma. Worth reading the thread if you're invested in this.

Not seen this but My ds does that stupid air boxing thing in my face & his sisters. Drives me absolutely bonkers I hate it. He thinks it's funny but it's very intimidating
