What do you do in the NHS and which other professionals do you work alongside who you have (job) envy for? I'm trying to decide which career I should choose and need inspiration!

I'm a healthcare assistant & envy the physiotherapists

I’m a nurse and envy the people who work in departments like radiology

I'm a Medical Secretary and envy the midwives

I’m an accountant and envy the healthcare scientists.

Can I ask what you envy about the physios tierra? Physio was my original choice a while ago that's all

I'm a clinical trials assistant and love it to be honest

I’m in admin but only been there for two weeks so not in a position to have any envy yet

I’m an ITU nurse and I envy SALT and dieticians

Roxy what type of work so SALTs and dietitians do in ITU? What makes you envy them? I'd love to work in intensive care

Healthcare scientist here. Not sure I envy any other occupation. Maybe the more clinical roles of my profession rather than being desk based

I’m a consultant child psychiatrist. I assess, diagnose and manage mental health problems in children and adolescents. I work as part of a team that includes nurses, psychologists, speech and language therepists, psychotherapists etc.

To do my job you need to be a medical doctor, and then specialise into Psychiatry, and then train to consultant level.

I should add that I don’t really envy other professionals. My job is difficult and stressful. But it’s also rewarding, fascinating and well-paid.

I'm a ward sister I envy just about everyone!

I envy our clinical psychologists.

I'm in management - would like to have done physio or social work. My brother is a paramedic and loves his job.

I'm an SLT. I really enjoy it!

Med secretary. Don’t envy any of the clinical staff. They seem stressed to the max! I go home at 5 and forget all about my work until the next morning. Happy to take less money for that privilege!

I'm a Clinical Psychologist. Do enjoy it and feel lucky but would have quite liked to be a doctor of something physical

I’m a midwife feel and envy everyone who does a Monday to Friday 9-5 job 😂

I love my job really, just a shame about the hours!!
