How many times do we have to tell you? Yes we still all hate summer!

(But tentatively looking forward to autumn.)

I felt a bit less sweaty than last time. Hot and muggy here today. Supposed to be 17 and rainy here tomorrow, though! Hurrah!

We still have builders going in and out at wierd times. I wish the landlord would just pay to get the work done and it'd be done in a day or maybe two instead of using mates who do work for them on "mates rates" means they do the work they get full pay for first meaning they're here first thing, late afternoon (blocking the road for rush hour twice a day!)/evenings/weekends basically whenever and so far it's been a week and a half!

Becca19962014 · 21/09/2018 09:49

So the met office fairies have done it again!

Currently it's sunny with a less than 10% chance of rain according to them.

Reality is gale force wind - and rain that's falling so hard it sounds like ball bearings on my window, literally zero chance of getting out for sometime on sticks.

I've some food but need to get some before the weekend.

FurryDice · 23/09/2018 05:54

Fucking Nora! I’ve got scorchio symbols emblazoned across my weather forecast next week with a fucking 21 - 21 in September! - forecast for Thursday.

Sigh.

It’s this flat. I just LOATHE it. I know I wouldn’t care about a bit of late summer sun if I lived elsewhere.

But even a forecast of fucking 16-18 if it’s sunny is horrible in here. It means it will be over 25.

Sob.

Our forecast is between 14 and 17. I can guarantee that'll be waay lower than what it will be.

Today for example we have horrendous weather warnings for wind and rain. We have blazing sun and not a cloud in the sky and zero wind.

My flat was down (just) below 18c. Already it's climbing.

Usually living here is great for weather as its so old it really isn't that badly effected by weather but this year it's been horrendous, it's the non stop sun that's doing it.

Becca19962014 · 23/09/2018 10:02

7c according to weather fairies currently.
It's 17c.

They're only 10c out!

Apparently 8 degrees outside yet 19 in my bedroom - with windows OPEN. I only posted really as I saw a ‘have you put your heating on?’ thread.

So yeah, I know in the winter I’m lucky (not that this is winter, ffs) but honestly I expire in the summer from the heat and all normal life goes to fuck, so I’d far rather be one of the ‘heating on’ brigade.

I really would.

Bastard summer is back here.

It's 22c inside and at least 25c outside and everyone's going on about how lovely it is.

It. Is. Not.

Yes was hot and sunny and screechy here today too. Fingers crossed that’s the last of anything in the 20s, although the forecast is still warmer than usual at this time of year.

Becca I still haven't got very far with our research, the Dementors are still misbehaving. Might have to feed them some souls, let's start with Trump and his cronies. Grin

Becca19962014 · 27/09/2018 23:09

I'm tempted to offer up some of the met office fairies....

SapphireSeptember · 28/09/2018 21:38

That's a good idea, naughty weather fairies.

FurryDice · 05/10/2018 05:43

Hello, thread. It would appear it’s just you and me now, kiddo.

Another hot spell midweek on the horizon.

Notlostjustexploring · 06/10/2018 20:32

I came on to say similar.....

21 degrees on Wednesday!!!! Wtf!!!?????

I think this summer has permanently confused me, as our heating has only just went back on, and only because the internal temperature of the house was sitting at around 16 degrees. It just felt so wrong after so long of doing anything to cool the house down!!

And now the heating is going back off in anticipation of weather that is just wrong.

moonandmountains · 07/10/2018 00:32

I'm so mad at the 22 degrees predicted next Wednesday. I had to come back just to vent that!

HelenaDove · 07/10/2018 01:39

it will be 20 here on Thursday.

MadisonAvenue · 07/10/2018 01:48

9c here yesterday, forecast to be 21c on Wednesday. It’s October FFS Angry

FurryDice · 07/10/2018 19:25

ReginasLeftFlangie · 27/10/2018 16:43

Just had to revive the thread to say....IT'S COLD!!!! Its actually cold, and the clocks go back tonight. Today is a good day, and i hope all my fellow summer hating, lovely people are enjoying it 😄

BarbedBloom · 27/10/2018 16:48

It is cold here too. I am loving life. I slept so well last night

MotherofPearl · 27/10/2018 21:38

Yes! I'm so much happier now that it's cold. My loft bedroom is now the perfect temperature. Hope Furry and all the others with hot homes are finally getting the respite they need. Long live autumn and winter!
