How many times do we have to tell you? Yes we still all hate summer!

(But tentatively looking forward to autumn.)

I felt a bit less sweaty than last time. Hot and muggy here today. Supposed to be 17 and rainy here tomorrow, though! Hurrah!

Tuesday showing as 25 here with wall to wall scorchio symbols for that day. All next week 22s and 23s.

This is the worst summer I’ve ever had, I think, because of everything really. The hot flat, the noisy neighbours- it’s just been unbearable and is seemingly never ending

I wish the weather would just find a temperature and stick to it! Instead of being all over the place. It's getting tiresome now.

Becca19962014 · 16/09/2018 19:27

It's horrible here. Been raining all day, which sounds good doesn't it? Just went outside to put out some rubbish and it's warm and stuffy. How is that even possible????

It's warm inside, so I should have known but even so

Becca19962014 · 17/09/2018 12:51

Today is officially the middle of September. It should not be 20c nor should it be 93% humidity. It feels like there's no air at all.

Supposedly we're meant to be getting a storm today. Lots of weather warnings about it.

Don't believe a word of it.

Sod off now weather.

I want my Autumn!!!

The research isn't going very well. The dementors are refusing to engage in the study.

LighthouseSouth · 17/09/2018 16:55

26c in the flat, office and Tube weren't so bad, but came home to an oven.

probably another day sweltering in hospital with dad tomorrow. (yes I feel sorry for him too obvs!)

LighthouseSouth · 17/09/2018 16:56

weather seems to think it will be cooler at weekend, this has def been the worst day in a few weeks but I have been at the hospital a lot so not 100% sure.

Becca19962014 · 17/09/2018 19:26

Well the supposed severe storm didn't materialise and, having just been outside its still 20c, with a blazing sunset and very little cloud. Am not impressed. At all. Bloody weather.

lighthouse I'd hate to be stuck in hospital in this weather just be horrible!

LighthouseSouth · 17/09/2018 19:31

I do recall very warm Septembers but we weren't living in an oven.

I can't wait for the clocks to go back, that will really help.

I have no idea how we are going to manage next year. We will have to start thinking about it around March.

if we just had an average, normal summer it would be fine. So frustrating!

MotherofPearl · 17/09/2018 19:38

I can't wait for the clocks to go back, that will really help.

I still obsessively keep an eye on the sunset time on the weather app, and watching it drop down each day is one of my greatest pleasures in life. Literally.

Loft back to being boiling hot today. Vile.

SapphireSeptember · 17/09/2018 20:50

Becca The Dementors are being very naughty, I shall have to carrol them with my Patronus. Robins are vicious little thugs, should sort out the Dementors in no time!

It was sweltering on the walk home, it started off looking lovely and grey this morning, and I was a tad worried because I'd left my umbrella at home. Ha! Promises, promises... When I got home I had to take my bra off to air out my boobs, my bra was all soggy. Envy

FurryDice · 18/09/2018 00:26

I have no idea how we are going to manage next year. We will have to start thinking about it around March.

Same here. I’ve already been stressing about what I’m going to do - I can’t afford to move currently. I’ve got lots of debt I’m trying to clear and moving is preposterously expensive so I’m stuck.

Sorry to hear your dad is still in hospital @LighthouseSouth

It's freezing and wet here, has been awful weather for a few weeks. You'd all love it.

Becca19962014 · 18/09/2018 09:41

Well.... It's wet and windy here and, supposedly a maximum of 14c.

However, inside is current 21c so I don't believe it. And we've had nowhere near the "horrendous" driving wind and rain we were supposed to.

Off out in it soon. According to thermometer it's 18c and rising.

Seriously? SERIOUSLY????

LighthouseSouth · 18/09/2018 14:39

Thanks Furry.

Yes the noise....we have a particularly shouty phone call guy on the balcony below. I'm looking forward to the weather beating him.

People are so noisy generally, I don't think you can live away from people noise unless you're a billionaire.

This flat and this summer have officially made me a winter person. I was a spring person. Not that we had one this year...

SapphireSeptember · 18/09/2018 21:42

I think we had a few days of spring, in between snowstorms, and then the temperature went all the way up and stayed there for months.

Dunno what to do, one of my housemates smokes inside the house when they're not supposed to, it's driving me crazy! Fucking stinks and gives me a headache and a sore throat. Angry

Becca19962014 · 18/09/2018 22:40

Well it rained heavily here, and I mean heavily, for over four hours.

I got excited and when it stopped went out to enjoy the fresh air. I shouldn't have bothered. Still hot and stuffy, I mean I should know that because it's hot and stuffy inside but.... How can that even be possible? It was really hammering down with winds. Isn't that meant to cool things down?? It's got down to 20c apparently today. So much for the 14c max predicted.

StrangeLookingParasite · 19/09/2018 01:51

Two more days of 27-28, then it will finally drop under 25 for a while.

Becca19962014 · 19/09/2018 09:19

sapphire I've builders in my building who are leaving only the internal flat door open to get rid of the paint and varnish smell, that's making me feel really ill. I rang landlord and was told it was tough as there are no other options, they can't work in a flat full of fumes and if I didn't like it to move out.

No other options? Like the kitchen window, or the back door to the flat, or the front room massive bay window which all opens?

Apparently that wouldn't be safe.

So the whole building which is boiling hot, stinks.

SapphireSeptember · 19/09/2018 20:45

Urgh, what utter cock wombles. It's amazing how people do not care how their actions affect others. Makes me wonder how they treat other people.

Becca19962014 · 19/09/2018 20:47

Bastards have just come back. Ffs.

FurryDice · 21/09/2018 02:15

So windy tonight I think my fence might blow down! Not complaining about the temps, though.

Seriously, with all this extreme weather we’ve had this year it feels like the end of days.

Sorry your dad isnt well Lighthouse. Thanks

My flat feels so humid.

Opened the bathroom window and had to close it again because of Mr Skunk,

Whats really pissed me off is i can smell it in the flat when we havent opened the windows or the door to the flat.

HOW? How is this utterly selfish cunt causing such a stink? oh and he moaned at DH and asked why we were shifting furniture around in the middle of the night. NO ONE here was shifting furniture. I went to the toilet 3 times in the night (i have an overactive bladder. ) i suspect he was on a fucking comedown He said to DH he would "come up here" if it happened again so DH brought up the stink of his drugs and he went all quiet Fucking hypocrite.

If he thinks im creeping around the flat like a church mouse to suit his drug habit and his comedowns he is much mistaken

Prick!

FurryDice · 21/09/2018 05:47

How can it still be 22 degrees in my bedroom? How?!

OP posts:
FurryDice · 21/09/2018 05:49

And Helena, just don’t get me started on my cunt neighbours. They’re - ugh - there are no words and I feel your pain.

My room is currently down to 18.6c! However, yesterday morning it said the same and by last night it was 21c. Yesterday's weather? Gales with major downpours (as in the rain bounced off the pavements rain) all night it's been the same. It'd be nice if it continued tbh as we need the fresh air here, I'd get lynched if I said that to anyone though!
