Personally I think the beardclub stuff is insane and although i have a very excessive healthy scepticism of celeb relationships I don't think the fauxmance is to cover up being gay. So, I never believed in Zayn/Perrie but surely that was to promote Little Mix rather than because Zayn was shagging Liam. And I don't believe in Amal and George for a second but that doesn't mean that George is gay - I will forever ship him with Nurse Hathaway! And while Harry may have been happy to participate in Haylor because he's gay, I don't think that TayTay is, I think Haylor was to promote 1D in the US. Staged romances are everywhere but I don't think it's closeting.

Donatellalymanmoss · 13/07/2016 15:12

Totally agree that fauxmamce are as likely, if not more likely to be for promotion than bearding.

I can't imagine Taylor ever hiding the fact she's responsible for writing a song she's way too interested in self-promotion.

As for the media trying to feed us what we want I try not to actually read the SBOS I just look at the daily mail celebrity Twitter account without following it. Although knowing how the Internet works I suspect that doesn't help that much. I have a lamp I looked at one made.com following me round the Internet.

TheAntiBoop · 13/07/2016 16:03

'Tom is planning to propose very soon' a source close to Taylor told Us Weekly adding, 'She would definitely say yes,'

From new dm article. Please can someone insert a gif of a rabbit caught in the headlights because Tim is in waaaaaay deeper than he thought!!

Donatellalymanmoss · 13/07/2016 16:09

That could probably read 'Tumblr fans want them to get married' Grin

It would be pretty quick but then marry in haste repent at leisure is so totally showbiz.

Cocolepew · 13/07/2016 16:17

aww sweet Tay Tay

KimmySchmidtsSmile · 13/07/2016 16:52

I liked that article allmumsy thank you. The hoax stories that appear on social media just remind me of the obvious made up threads on MN, some are entertaining works of fiction, but ultimately harmless. Others are just...why? Like breaking news that Neil Tennant had died, that kind of thing. Have always said I don't mind personally falling for it on MN even if I took time to comment as the OPs clearly need something from someone. I only see red when bereavement or sen are misused as I don't like seeing people being hurt whether they are just "words on a screen"/ virtual acquaintances or not. Have any of you read the book Dangerous Data (fiction), it was a detective who used people's cyberdata (shopping on loyalty cards etc) to solve cases/privately detect. It would seem positively old fashioned now as most people could be followed just by their tweets alone (I do like what Stewart Lee say about it: m.youtube.com/?#/watch?v=OiiF6aPCZao) and his " you can prove anything...with facts" gag.
I wonder why Tim linked it...as you say, it's her bloomin' Goff Photos following them around. (Anyhoo Tom, you owe me 50p).
The idea of celebrity is a strange one, I don't care much for concept art and would not have wanted to wait six hours but Shia the Beef's silent meet/statement on plagiarism was interesting. I do feel old though. I went to the Louvre last year and tons of people were taking pics of Mona Lisa/Venus de Milo with their selfie sticks. Some seemed to be only looking at the artwork through the screen itself. Same as going to a gig with my DD. One commenter quoted Morrow under that article about a nation of sheep becomes a nation of wolves but right now, just now, with my life as it is now, I'd rather think of unicorns than horses when I hear hooves.
In the absence of Tayto gossip I wrote a haiku on the U-bahn (you may eye roll at that, I would, but the National Pastime in Germany of Staring doesn't serve me well).

Fish and chip paper
Stories grey suede shoes could tell
Etched in Ryan's face.

Don't blame me Tim O'Tay, blame Deadpool.

Fair play to her coco (excellent baldy cooper sight gag ^up thread btw Star). Her hair looks lovely like she has been using the herbal shampoo of her relationship. Envy Sod it, hope she gets hitched and gives all the sceptics, including me, the finger.

"I almost forgot.."
Shame by Jon Ronson is bloody brilliant (similar themes of privacy/public scrutiny/everyone being on the radar now/notoriety as opposed to fame/influence of social media/public shaming, going viral and the like). Heartily recommend it.

Whilst I have some sympathy for celebs being hounded by the press there is a huge level of hypocrisy where they use the press to build a profile. (Kartrashian)/base their professional persona on a personal image (Taylor)

There are a lot of celebs who manage to stay well out of the private eye so it is most def possible

Whentheshipgoesdown · 13/07/2016 17:30

If that is actual Calvin Harris on the verified twitter he is going ballistic. And tumblr was right. Aces.

Slippery slope or moistened chute: how low can Tayto go?!
Cocolepew · 13/07/2016 17:33

this is confusing me for some reason ConfusedBlush

FrayedHem · 13/07/2016 17:46

Social media isn't really under anyone's control is it. I sometimes get uncomfortable with pile ins on the stupid acts of non-slebs that go viral, as we did stop putting people in the stocks for good reason! But there are many wondrous things that have come of it too. There's always been bad journalism and blaming it on the readers falls flat for me. A big boy made me do it for clickz - it's you the Stupid People who are bringing down journalism - nah no sale here.

Victim-blaming is a no-no, but for those that have media training and live in the Sleb world, I'm amazed they haven't all caught on to being unable to control the direction it goes.
I remember a psychologist on the very first Big Brother series (yes I'm very high-brow) saying when you get a person like Nasty Nick behaving badly then exposed, it served as at a bonding group hand cleansing as the rest put themselves aloft of the baddie.
I have utterly lost the point I was trying to make!
but I have worked out an anagram of the alleged alter-pen name of TayTay Nils Sjöberg is... Jingle Bros. Obviously this means CH is in a secret relationship with one of the Jonas brothers. You'll find me in Tumblr

FrayedHem · 13/07/2016 17:55

Ooh good spot whentheshipgoesdown he's really going for it, if it is actually him this time

Whentheshipgoesdown · 13/07/2016 17:56

I would like to think Calvin is sending these epic tweets himself

FrayedHem · 13/07/2016 18:00

The Katy one is too good risky libel-wise to be CH surely

KimmySchmidtsSmile · 13/07/2016 18:03

So has he been hacked then?
What am I missing? Confused
Why should she keep it a secret?
Why does her writing the few lyrics there are put him down?

OP posts:
KimmySchmidtsSmile · 13/07/2016 18:08

Also, if he categorically denied collaborations/pooh poohed future collaborations in interviews, knowing full well she had penned lyrics and sung on one of his main tracks, that does kinda make him a douche tbh.
Her could have just said at the time: I think she's an amazing lyric writer and if she ever writes for me, I know she'll smash it.
Rather than saying "No, never been discussed" like he's the echelon of cool and she's not worthy.

FrayedHem · 13/07/2016 18:09

CH twitter is saying it was TayTay that wanted the pseudonym. Public are rounding on him that he took advantage. The gossip sites are saying his quote of not working together and couldn't see it happening slighted TayTay

Donatellalymanmoss · 13/07/2016 18:14

CH is notorious for both his twitter rants and being unmedia-trainable!

I think he's fucked off that she leaked it to the press after deciding to keep it secret. What I want to know is what pissed off her enough to leak the story.

TheAntiBoop · 13/07/2016 18:15

She needs to re script the break up because it looks like she cheated on him

Donatellalymanmoss · 13/07/2016 18:20

I think I read something about the next episode of the Kardashian program featuring Kanye calling her about his song.

TheAntiBoop · 13/07/2016 18:21

She has not come across well with all these 'friends' leaking things. Especially as they are claiming they did it to defend her because he's been so mean since the spiky - as far as I can see he's not really done anything.

TS is coming across more and more mean girl!!

Donatellalymanmoss · 13/07/2016 18:24

Maybe it's because he didn't deny that his new song was about her cheating?

TheAntiBoop · 13/07/2016 18:25

Maybe. But he didn't confirm it either. Silence is always the best policy and leaking through 'friends' is always the worst

FrayedHem · 13/07/2016 18:37

I think you should offer to media training him Donatella for his own good. It could be your selfless act of Sleb-saving.

I think false rumours over CH song give it a media boost that's good for sales. The singers are all laughing to the bank, but what of Tim? Maybe he wants to compete in Eurovision.
