Donatella ShockGrin > A liar gets caught. BG.W.E.I (blind goss will eat itself)!
Dusters ooh I do remember Broadcast news scene. PA has come across in the past as (aptly for his initials) passive aggressive, narcissistic and sulky/controlling but Crap gags/hammy insincerity > his spiel these days than croc tears. (The Kay Burley interview I suspect was genuine though). I could be being naive. He came across as cheesy/smarmy in SCD.
Spotted Small and humble Grin
Bollywood star? I didn't know you'd met Sam Fox Wink
G'wan. Spill. Shah Rukh Khan? Tell me it was him.

Kimmy - had a look at the Mandela Effect, fascinating. Love a quiz, so of course I did it ! Was able to answer "extremely confident" about my answer to the Kevin Costner question Wink.

I have indeed been living in a parallel universe - this thread Smile.

Field of Dreams is one of my worst all-time films. I hate the sport, don't really like Mr K, and something about the film just gives me the rage. I couldn't quite sit through it all, and just seeing the opening credits makes me want to cry with boredom Sad

KimmySchmidtsSmile · 13/07/2016 00:21

Damn it to hell. I'm back. Just to say THE Darius. Oh happy day.
Kirsten doesn't do labels but her mum said she supported her whether with bf or gfs. Very sweet actually but KS will always be a trucculent sulky teen to me ( Zathura) so I just imagine her doing the eyeroll and saying: Gee, thanks, Mom. I was trying to be ambiguous. I had a quote about just doing your thing and being an actress, man and you just threw me under the bus.

Glad you enjoyed it dusters. I haven't seen Field of dreams Blush but thought it was they will come because of a misquote in Phoenix nights Grin or did I? I could be misremembering again. Wink
The Mandela effect's a funny one though: I consider it wooooo bunkum even though I love a good conspiracy theory but 88% of people holding the same mismemory re FOD is very high The thing about the original premise is I knew with great conviction that Nelson didn't die in prison cos

  1. he only went and flaming met the Spice Girls
  2. that song Freeeeee Nelson Mandela became surplus to requirements
  3. I always thought the marriage breakdown Sad and Winnie's criminal behaviour Shock
so no, knew he got out. But there's a youtube vid with dozens of misbeliefs. It's just bizarre. I think like most urban myths or untruths, misconceptions just get absorbed into the public domain/general consensus through word of mouth repetition/or in some cases, subliminal advertising eg Coke influenced Santa's red garb = false ( I do like a good Snopes debunking). Misremembering works with phrases too (one fell swoop/another think coming/moot point etc). Basically we're all just fallable. Or thick. But a parallel universe is far more tempting.

^Ooh someone on buzzfeed says
The Mandela effect is due to pop culture osmosis
Someone else says it is just down to something memorable linked to the false memory happening at the time
Finally someone says it's just denial about being wrong Grin

It's like the Rashomon effect and the reason that I liked much of The Affair.
Joshua>Dominic.
Poor Josh Sad

^ No Rashomon with I luv TS tank top more's the pity. We ALL know what we saw and it was indisputably cringe Grin

'If you build it, they will come' is from Waynes World II when Wayne creates Waynestock...

And Daisy Lowe is with the Darius, inexplicably.

(gets coat)

APlaceOnTheCouch · 13/07/2016 09:06

I said Wed!

What is this about:
SiCo/PMac pictures
Who is PMac? I need to know more.

Whentheshipgoesdown · 13/07/2016 09:22

Cocolepew · 13/07/2016 10:06

Zebra why are you so determined to stop my completely in my head romance with BCoop?
Off to read SBoS.

Cocolepew · 13/07/2016 10:18

Yay! Amal and George in the SBoS. In nightwear. Why for the love of God is she always clinging onto him for dear life? They look totally posed in every photo of them.
Other thought, wth has Kloe K done to her face? She looks like a different person.
Those Hadid girls. Is it a case of who you know that has them as 'top' models? They are ridiculously bland.
Only TayTay article is about her new boobs Sad

TheSpottedZebra · 13/07/2016 10:30

Because he looks like a Serial Killer Emu, Coco
You deserve better.

Cocolepew · 13/07/2016 10:39

Dammit.

Whentheshipgoesdown · 13/07/2016 10:46

Aww there is a genuinely lovely piece about TayTay visiting a children's hospital, which isn't an easy thing to do and especially not if you're the kind of person who likes organised fun, household budgets and colour coded spreadsheets. Bless her.

TheSpottedZebra · 13/07/2016 10:55

Aaarrrggghhh! That one on the left is terrifying Shock

APlaceOnTheCouch · 13/07/2016 11:39

How did I not know about Simon and Paul McKenna being friends. Shock
Love the DM story saying CH and TayTay split because he dissed the idea of working with her after she secretly wrote him a hit.

FrayedHem · 13/07/2016 11:52

I had a good lol at the comments on that SBoS piece APlace. It's funny how so many have taken it to be 100% true and poor old trusting TayTay. She should totally get together with a man called Tim I read about; he is trapped in a real fake relationship due to his need to put politeness before anything else. They'd make the perfect couple!

FrayedHem · 13/07/2016 12:55

The Amal & George pics are weird. Why is George emulating the KFC Colonel?

Whentheshipgoesdown · 13/07/2016 13:01

Yep SiCo and PMac are bffs, best men for each other and highly platonic bros. The fake credits on the Calvin song is also a great piece of TayTay tinhatting but my personal money says Tay and Calvin are actually still together.

Usual excuses waiting for washing machine, eating lunch, blah, blah Research! yes, research, that's what I'm doing... Just noticed TH's twitter has 'retweeted?' an article in the grauniad about social media and the news.
www.theguardian.com/media/2016/jul/12/how-technology-disrupted-the-truth

An interesting read, confirming what many of us probably suspect that the more we click on the SBoS the more it presents us with what it thinks we want more of.....which in turn, is argued, reinforces the views we hold about particular slebs. That because we can all be 'investigators' now the quality of what is put on social media is suspect. The worrying thought is that this is also the case for things that matter, not just the time wasting pastime of SBoS.

I wonder if we are meant to feel admonished by this 'retweet' - and not notice that much of what has been published has come from seemingly official PR and that most of us are too busy to be in Rhode Island, Suffolk, Rome etc and would not have known anything about the romance if it had not been 'flaunted' in front of us.

She rightly points out that print journalism in the past has also been guilty of fabrication - eg Hillsborough. But her dislike of stories without foundation spreading unchecked didn't prevent her from revisiting 'David Cameron and the pig's head'.

Possibly feeling that I've wasted enough time on Tayto (I'm half Irish so pleased to give Tayto a plug) but they have definitely got me through Brexit (and spilling white paint all over a carpet.) Not leaving this thread though - never Grin

AllMumsyWereTheBorrowedClothes · 13/07/2016 13:26

The article mentioned www.snopes.com which it seems is a debunking website - full of truth! Off to investigate.

Donatellalymanmoss · 13/07/2016 13:48

The story about Taylor writing Calvin's latest song is lifted straight off tumblr I think, so basically her fans making stuff up is considered to be a credible source by some media outlets!

TheAntiBoop · 13/07/2016 14:09

Taytay can not be the baddie in a relationship break up. This thing about the song writing is her way of trying to improve her side.

TheAntiBoop · 13/07/2016 14:24

Also, why would she want to link herself with a song that lacks any lyrical complexity?

Re the beard thing. I don't understand why female stars are still hiding their sexuality - there are plenty who have come out and haven't had any problems. Is it just the Bible Belt they are afraid of?
