Right, I've taken the plunge!

Get those catwalk pics in here quick!

Also ...

LetUsPrey · 30/06/2012 20:50

Thanks LadyClarice. I finish early on Fridays so I'll be able to listen.

Benedict in tennis whites would be a sight worth seeing wouldn't it?

LetUsPrey · 30/06/2012 20:52

Seriously, they need to move London.

Anybody else spent 5 minutes watching this, hoping the sheet might fall a bit further?!

Only five minutes? Grin

LadyClariceCannockMonty · 01/07/2012 12:44

Just looked at the times and Richard B is on at 1pm and then the Royal Court thing starts at 2pm. Benedict doesn't like to make life easy for himself, does he?!

Moving London ... hmmm. Was about to say NOOOOOOO Smile, but then realised that a) the Royal Court thing is sold out and b) I want to go to Wimbledon on Friday so would be missing both anyway. So Prey, go ahead and haul the Big Smoke up to wherever you want it; makes no difference to me Grin

LetUsPrey · 01/07/2012 13:00

Balls. I don't leave work until 2.30pm on a Friday. No consideration Benedict - tut Grin. If you could just arrange your schedule to suit me, I'd be ever so grateful.

LadyClariceCannockMonty · 01/07/2012 13:01

Record it? Or presumably it'll be on iPlayer. It better be, otherwise I won't be able to listen!

CaveMum · 01/07/2012 13:06

Should be on iplayer, the show usually is.

LetUsPrey · 01/07/2012 14:59

Hurrah for the iPlayer!

I am watching the pilot of A Study In Pink. He does a brilliant drunk. Grin

And whilst he looks amazing in jeans I have it paused on the bit where he's crawling on the floor whilst drugged, Sherlock simply is not a jeans person.

LadyClariceCannockMonty · 01/07/2012 16:16

I agree, Prey. The pilot makes interesting watching in a compare-and-contrast kind of way, but it's SO not 'right' whereas the aired episodes are SO right, IYKWIM.

I'm intrigued about the process and the thinking. Who decided that the 'pilot' Sherlock would wear jeans, have different hair, put on the hygiene suit to examine the body (when the 'aired' Sherlock conspicuously doesn't) etc? I read an interview with BC once where he said that by the time they started shooting, he knew what he was going to do with the character, but going by the filmed evidence that changed quite dramatically between pilot and aired episodes.

If I Tweet all this to lovely Mark Gatiss do you think he'll run through all the thinking for me? Grin

LetUsPrey · 01/07/2012 16:20

And I'll have an in depth, intense, one on one discussion with BC about it. I'll even take notes. Grin

[selfless]

LetUsPrey · 01/07/2012 22:09

Tonight I have been demonstrating my already obvious selflessness, but this time as a selfless mama.

DS1 was asking where did we all come from, how did we evolve from apes, how was the world created, etc. I mentioned something about there was initially nothing (sort of) and then there was the Big Bang. And then I thought "I know who can explain this" and found in my history on YouTube the part from Hawking where he and Roger Penrose have the breakthrough moment on the railway platform. It's my favourite bit from the programme. So, I sat with DS1 whilst he watched that part just to ensure of course that he understood it as much as he could.

NeedsAGreenCardForFantasyLand · 02/07/2012 07:03

Prey, that pretty much defines "Win-Win". Good for you!!

Just came back from a weekend in Amsterdam with an old school friend. Spent lots of time convincing her that she needs to find Sherlock (and BC) quickly. Because we always need new members here, right?

CaveMum · 02/07/2012 08:08

How unselfish of you Prey Wink

LadyClariceCannockMonty · 03/07/2012 11:25

Weird; why is BC in the studio with Friendly Fires?

More to the point though, does he look a bit more like his old, slightly thin self? Is he de-bulking after Star Trek?

CaveMum · 03/07/2012 11:49

Clarice he's heading back to the US to film that, er, film - cant for the life of me remember what it is called. He's playing a Plantation owner so bulky wouldn't be in keeping Wink

True! Twelve Years a Slave, is that the title?

I'm dreading the Southern accent. I have an unfortunately very sensitive ear for people doing accents and they always make my toes curl ...
