I can't face retyping all my views on Frankenstein (not to mention thinking them all up again!) so have looked and looked at my old ones online for some I can copy and paste. Thankfully for everyone I can only find this, which is sort of it in a nutshell:
'What I loved most about BC as the Doctor was that yes, he was unpleasant, un-self-aware and arrogant, but also sometimes vulnerable and so very human. His performance was incredibly layered and subtle. I thought he was also better than JLM as the Creature ? just has more depth as an actor IMO, plus better and more varied physical acting skills and vocal range and technique.'
CaveMum, yes, I think JLM was the first Creature. He was the first I saw as well, due to Benedict, who was meant to be the Creature the first night I went, being 'indisposed'. (I'm still not over that
)
On another note, has this had an airing?
Benedict not confident socially? I don't believe it for a second. And frankly, at the moment it seems like he's turning up at the opening of envelopes
