Seeing as the Sherlock discussions are dying down I thoguth I'd start a new thread for all the BC fans out there - judging by the number of MNers with him on their "List", he surely deserves his own thread.

So here it is: a place to share videos, pictures, articles and whatever else you want. The only thing I'll say is that I'd appreciate it if no one posted a link to the video(s) of BC dancing at a wedding. Apparently it was stolen from his ex girlfriend and is the cause of much upset. So lets be respectful. Otherwise, anything goes Grin

I'll get us started with some personal favourites:

- pay close attention to the wink @ 0.42 and his whip action @ 0.51 Grin

And finally some gratuitous , with my personal favourite the black and white shot featured at 2.53 [drools]

Share/comment away Grin

I can't find it on bbc3 either Sad

LetUsPrey · 23/01/2012 13:05

CaveMum - I ordered mine last week and splashed the cash for first class delivery.

ellenjames - if you have an iPod Touch/iPhone/iPad, you can buy and download both series.

I'll just have to get my daily Cumberbatch fix by listening to some more Cabin Pressure Grin

I was going to be extra naice to DH and suggest he goes to the gym and I'll put the DC to bed so I could start on Sherlock. I wish Grin.

Remembered though that I have tap class tonight. Poo. I'll still watch it when I get back though.

"I'm a fucking fantastic lover" has kept me going at work today. It's my happy place. Well, one of them. Wink

LetUsPrey · 23/01/2012 19:16

Just before I go out.

TeamDamon · 23/01/2012 19:23

Woop woop!

My Sherlock DVDs have dispatched!

TeamDamon · 23/01/2012 20:00
- this had me in tears... Sad
CaveMum · 23/01/2012 20:00

I'm losing track of which videos we've had so far, but have we done ?

Dear lord, is there a more appropriate song and watch put for the additional whip action at from 1.55 to 2.01 and again at 2.09. [fans self] Grin

TeamDamon SadSad that made me cry too.

Cavemum it won't load on my phone Sad

CaveMum · 23/01/2012 20:44

Hmm it won't load on my phone either. Search YouTube for "Sherlock Sexy and I Know It" and watch out for the whip [faints]

I love this

This is similar but I love it when he pops up at 25 seconds. So gorgeous.

I'm apparently having a girl but in case the scan is wrong I am trying to persuade DP that we should give the baby the middle name Ben, but no such luck Grin

CaveMum · 23/01/2012 20:55

You could always go with "Irene" or "Scarlett" Wink

Seen the Sexy And I Know It one more than a few times!

I will shortly be settling down to watch the A Study In Pink pilot episode on my newly arrived blu ray discs. Don't think it will be as good as the actual Sherlock series they ended up with but sure it will still be good. And BC is wearing jeans. And bending over on the floor. [shallow emoticon]

CaveMum · 23/01/2012 21:11

Oh that is sad Sad

Cheerful things please!!!!

megcleary · 23/01/2012 21:26

Excellent sentiment!

Kayzr · 23/01/2012 21:40

WOW!!!!!!!

CaveMum · 23/01/2012 21:45

Take your clothes off indeed Grin

God I hope they don't cover him in prosthetics for Star Trek. He'd make a fabulous Vulcan just as he is. Cheekbones that could slice ham Grin

I've also realised, I very much have a thing for men in big coats:

Sherlock [duh]
David Tennant (in Dr mode, though I'll also take him in Fright Night mode too if the option is available)
And my teenage crush (and I so still would) James Marsters as Spike

Yum yum yum yum yum Grin

OP posts:
Kayzr · 23/01/2012 21:48

I have finally found a decent picture of him in the security guard hat here

CaveMum Except for David Tennant are you me?? I spent my teenage years in love with Spike. I had a long leather coat and I so still would too Grin

CaveMum · 23/01/2012 22:14

Grin I just can't believe he is almost 50 - he could be my DAD!

In the last Ep of Sherlock S1, it's that black suit with the white shirt, top button undone that does it for me. Ding, and indeed, Dong!

Kayzr · 23/01/2012 22:17

Yeah he is older than my Mum!!!

I was a bit surprised to see that Benedict is 10 years older than me. He doesn't look 35.

He definitely doesn't look his age, but as I'm 30 it makes him the perfect age for me!

I have to ask, what is the consensus on pronunciation? Are we settled on "Cummerbatch", with a silent first "B" or "CumBerbatch" with emphasis on that first "B"?

I think I'm in the first camp.

I have watched the pilot episode of A Study in Pink. In comparison with the Sherlock the series became, it's not really a patch on it. It was only hour long so loads missed out, not enough "cleverness", Sherlock was a bit too friendly - not dismissive enough. Not sure I'm explaining this very well without giving things away!

Benedict Cumberbatch, however, was totally, completely lush and he looks particularly good in jeans. Grin

As for pronunciation of his name, I would pronounce it "oh yes please, don't stop". Grin
