Seeing as the Sherlock discussions are dying down I thoguth I'd start a new thread for all the BC fans out there - judging by the number of MNers with him on their "List", he surely deserves his own thread.

So here it is: a place to share videos, pictures, articles and whatever else you want. The only thing I'll say is that I'd appreciate it if no one posted a link to the video(s) of BC dancing at a wedding. Apparently it was stolen from his ex girlfriend and is the cause of much upset. So lets be respectful. Otherwise, anything goes Grin

I'll get us started with some personal favourites:

- pay close attention to the wink @ 0.42 and his whip action @ 0.51 Grin

And finally some gratuitous , with my personal favourite the black and white shot featured at 2.53 [drools]

Share/comment away Grin

CaveMum, no, I hadn't read the blog or seen the confirmation, so thanks for that. Hurray! People including me will be camping out overnight to get in to the recordings this time round, you mark my words!

Those last two photos ... Jesus wept.

MissWooWoo · 31/01/2012 09:20

I have been saving this thread to read when I have the house to myself a bit more time but foolishly clicked on that last pic and think I am about to spontaneously combust!

do you think his PR has pointed him the way of this thread? wonder what he would think!!!

CaveMum · 31/01/2012 10:29

LadyClarice, I think the tickets are going to be allocated online as with other BBC recordings - a bit like if you want to be in the audience for Strictly and the like.

I get the impression that BC stays well away from social media! Reading done of the comments on Twitter (funnily enough they always seem to be from Russians or Koreans) sent to Cumberbatchweb he's probably right! The more stalkerish amongst us can send messages via his agent, but I doubt he has the time to read everything!

Yes, I know, and I got mine last time by applying through the BBC tickets site. I meant that, as with all live-audience shows, they overbook it in case not enough people turn up ? they don't want empty seats ? so, even though you have tickets, they advise you to turn up in good time as the further back you are in the queue obviously the less chance you have of getting in. I went with DP and he took some persuading that we should arrive by 11am for a 1pm doors-open time. He was forced to admit I was right when it got to about 12.30 and the queue was stretching off over the far horizon though!

MissWooWoo · 31/01/2012 11:26

I can second what LadyClarice said - I had tickets for something (unfortunately not BC related) and didn't get in because of over allocation of tickets because supposedly won't turn up Confused. Surely if they've got their finger on the pulse they would know which shows are going to be popular and just allocate enough rather than too many.

MissWooWoo · 31/01/2012 11:28

people won't turn up

right! I'm off to perve look at this thread with only a fresh coffee and a hot buttered crumpet for company

Saltire · 31/01/2012 11:30

All these pics and clips are helping me on ym road to recovery.

CaveMum · 31/01/2012 11:31

Thanks for the tip! That's worth remembering!

I think Sod's Law dictates that if they allocated exactly the right number of tickets, some buggers wouldn't turn up and they'd be left with empty seats. I suspect they have learnt through experience to overbook. It is a pain though ? I have turned up for things and not got in because I was too far back in the queue.

Didn't make that mistake with Cabin Pressure though. Smile

Housewifefromheaven · 31/01/2012 11:42

Hi ladies have been away for a few days so have to catch up on all the posts. Can anyone tell me how to post links? Thanks. Until I can do that, you might like to google Sarah Dunn cumberbatch :) apologies though if it's already been linked!

MissWooWoo · 31/01/2012 12:10

OMG I'm only up to page 5 on this thread and not sure I can take anymore! He is just sooo delicious in every way ... hmm, maybe I could manage just a little more Grin

Saltire · 31/01/2012 12:22

I am ill. Both DSes are ill. One is prostate on the sofa hogging the sky + and DVD player (can't watch DVDs as he's got sky on) and the other is upstiars hogging the dvd player on our room.
So, tips on how to get one of them to move so I can watch Sherlock in peace?

CaveMum · 31/01/2012 12:25

Housewife, if you scroll to the bottom of the page (underneath the smilies), it tells you how to post a link.

Basically, copy the URL and post it here with in front of it and after it. If you don't want the whole link visible then add some text after the link and before the ]].

For example:

www.picturesofbenny.com here - just don't include the spaces I have left before and after the and

can't help you with your dilemma Saltire but don't think this has been posted yet, no need for DVDs when you can drool over these pics for hours ... he is the man no?

I am in my early 40s Blush

Saltire · 31/01/2012 12:33

misswoowoo - dammit I knew I shouldn't have turned down that modelling job that day! Grin.

I am 41, so don't worry about your age. Being older is a Good Thing

Housewifefromheaven · 31/01/2012 12:41

Cheers cave will have a practise

MissWooWoo · 31/01/2012 12:42

Grin saltire did you read the link about him being someone's wish for the day and the girl said he smelt of cinamon??!!

swoon

SeaShellsOnTheSeaShore · 31/01/2012 12:44

Dh and I were listening to cabin pressure last night, laughing so hard Grin I'd completely missed it on the radio. Dh did roll his eyes once he figured out who on of the characters was Wink

I love love love that picture you liked to kayzr :)

DesperateHousewife21 · 31/01/2012 13:12

Lol at sniffing condiments! I said I bet he smells really good.

LetUsPrey · 31/01/2012 13:16

I have printed off both those recent pictures at work. He is a beautiful, beautiful man.

I love the smell of cinnamon. I love the taste of it too Wink.

Another 41 year old here. Old enough to know and old enough not to care!

LetUsPrey · 31/01/2012 13:18

See how much he affects my ability to type and read properly?!

That should obviously have said "old enough to know better", although the original would work as well I suppose! Grin

LetUsPrey · 31/01/2012 13:25

I quite like like this one. That mouth ....

MissWooWoo · 31/01/2012 13:34

a man who appeals to women of all ages it would seem.

must confess that I have fancied him since I saw him in "stuart a life backwards", sometime after this I remembered I had seen him in "starter for 10" and realised that actually the seed had been sown then. How awesome does a man have to be that he can get under your skin whilst playing a geeky twat? Mark Gatiss is in starter for 10 too ...

Housewifefromheaven · 31/01/2012 13:57

is this right

Saltire · 31/01/2012 14:00

Ok you lot are not helping me Grin. i have a hospital house full of ill people, £250 worth of food shopping to put away (don't ask) and you lot are distracting me from lying around on sofa feeling sorry for myself looking after ill children doing anything!
