Hi bloggers,

You may have noticed we're growing in size Smile. New bloggers are coming to us every day looking for a place in our community.

We'd like to give them a boost into our blogging network and help introduce them to some of you more established bloggers. We'd love new bloggers to be able to meet and greet the old, and we're excited by your joint blogging ventures where you're getting together to make a difference.

So we'll be introducing one new blogger a day in the third slot on our blog homepage and we're opening up this thread for newbies to the network to mingle and make merry with blogging pros. Welcome!

fastfoodfamilyjourney · 12/04/2012 10:09

I started my blog a few weeks ago and since realised how fulfilling writing about a topic you love can be. I have been inspired by Jamie Oliver and his mission for improving the quality of the food we eat, and the food we feed our children. My blog is all about creating healthy fast food (under 22 minutes - time it takes to cook oven chips). It also focuses on all aspects of family life as we need different nutrition at different times (conceiving, pregnancy, breast-feeding etc.) I include a recipe each time I blog a new post www.fastfoodfamilyjourney.wordpress.com I hope that other mums with a similar passion or interest can try the recipes and would welcome all feedback. Thanks!

Hi, I'm a newbie to the Mumsnet bloggers. I've been blogging on books and translation for a few months now. I'm at adiscounttickettoeverywhere.blogspot.co.uk/ and looking forward to lots of tips and encouragement on here!

Wow lots of newbie bloggers!

I am also new, I've only been blogging since Easter when my husband had enough of my ramblings and encouraged me to do something with them :)

I'll certainly be asking a lot of questions I think as I really have very little idea what I'm doing!

I'm at www.catchasinglethought.blogspot.co.uk/ - feel free to visit.

emilybuttons · 30/04/2012 16:05

HI this is my first post on mumsnet. I was wondering if anyone would be interested in joining me on a weekly craft blog challenge......

During 1 nap per week, start and finish a project and post the results.....see how much can be made during your baby's nap time!

This is my first attempt:

WomanUncut · 30/04/2012 17:33

Hello big wide blogging world! What have i got myself into? I started my blog a couple of weeks ago - to encourage women to own all aspects of themselves and move into their full power. Got off to a great start, but now need to find out what it is really all about.
Would appreciate any feedback.

Cumbrianmam · 01/05/2012 12:00

Hi, This is my first post too. I've been blogging on and off for a while now. I started Free days Out in Cumbria as a way to practice blogging, and then I forgot about it, and then I remembered again and found that it had had quite a few hits. So I was encouraged and am now off again! This time I've challenged myself to come up with an idea a week for a fun and most importanly free family days out in the beautiful Lake District. So if you're coming on holiday, or are local like us check it out:-

P.S. Emily Robson love your chair and your idea!!

blueparakeet · 01/05/2012 18:49

Hi! I'm new to Mumsnet although I started blogging last year and really enjoy it. I'm a life and business coach; a single Mum with two dual-heritage children (one 15, one 10) and one has OCD and one is dyslexic (so plenty of challenges there). I'm a Baha'i and live in the beautiful Devon countryside with a five-minute walk to the beach. I tend to blog when something I feel passionate about triggers my attention! I'm really looking forward to being part of this community!

blueparakeet · 01/05/2012 18:49

oh yes, and my blog is: blueparakeetcoaching.blogspot.co.uk/

FrenchTouchLaure · 01/05/2012 20:13

Hello !
I'm a newbie blogger. New on mumsnet and new in the blogosphere as well. Well that's not entirely true: I have helped my husband a little bit by writing guest posts on his blog (how awesome is that...writing guest posts before I even have my own blog!)
I'm a mom of two boys. Currently in mat leave. I live in Canada but just loved mumsnet and wanted to participate here.
I'm writing on being a French expat mom in Vancouver, Canada, with two other French moms.

Welcome to the moms who are going to be newbies after me !

AnaLily · 02/05/2012 11:33

Hi bloggy network
I've only started blogging this year so my site continues to evolve as I learn. Just reviewed Justin Fletcher's new book which came out today. If you would like to take a look it's at www.practicallyperfectmums.co.uk
I'm a mother of three little boys so drink plenty of coffee during the day and wine during the evening!

JacquiLockington · 05/05/2012 05:07

Hello all fellow-newbie bloggers. I am really excited to be joining you all and look forward to sharing all my posts with you and reading yours. My blog is called If Only They'd Told Me and it is all the things I wish people had told me about having children - before I had them. Too late now off course but hopefully I can equip other mums around the world with knowledge, laughter and plenty of stories to share.
I British but living in New Zealand and co-writing my blog with another mother, Nat who is Canadian - but also living in New Zealand. We cannot wait to join your group of happy bloggers.
Love Jacqui from If Only They'd Told Me

JacquiLockington · 06/05/2012 08:42

Hello everyone - so glad to join you all. I am a mum of 2, living in New Zealand but very British and Proud! I miss my Walkers Crisps (are they still as good?), Marks and Spencers, British Curries and Yorkshire Tea....yummmy!!!

My blog is If Only They'd Told Me - it is all the things we mums wish people had told us about having children BEFORE we had them. It is real stories, anecdotes, tips and advice on getting pregnant, having children, and how to have a thriving, not just surviving relationship in the early years on childhood.
I look forward to sharing my posts with you.
You can check out my own blog on www.ifonlytheytoldme.com

JacquiLockington · 06/05/2012 11:27

So, I'm a British Mum living in little old New Zealand. I work full-time now but up until a month ago I was full time at home with two littlies so have definitely experienced both worlds.

My blog is If Only They'd Told Me - it is all the things I wish people had told me about having children. When my son was born I was thrown. For someone who was used to being in control of their life, suddenly my life was upside-down. Only now am I feeling I am getting control back again! I look forward to sharing my stories with you and reading yours.

annelg1 · 06/05/2012 18:20

Hi Jacqui,
Walker's crisps, eh? You're right. They're certainly good. I don't know about M&S. I don't really shop there, but I make my own curries, so I'm taking them with me wherever I go!

Welcome to mumsense. Your blog is a great topic for new mothers. I'm not such a new parent, but will check it out.

If you need advice on blogging you can have a look at A Blogger's Books. It's listed here on this site.

MattBaines · 08/05/2012 13:53

Hi, my name, as you can probably all guess is Matt. I have recently (last week) started a blog which looks at being a first time dad and the various pitfalls etc. I hope you can all have a look here, www.foraysintofatherhood.blogspot.com, and would live any feedback you could give me.

Thanks in advance

Glosswitch · 08/05/2012 23:29

Hello! I have been blogging for about one and a half months now but haven't said hello here yet. So first off, I'm rude / shy! My blog's called Glosswatch, because it was going to be focused on critiquing glossy magazines each month because they drive me up the wall. However, once I started thinking of things that drive me up the wall I couldn't stop so the blog's now ended up being about lots of things: feminism, motherhood, gender stereotypes, body image, eating disorders, abortion, my inability to concentrate on anything, Andy off CBeebies.. Which all sounds a bit grim (except for Andy), but I try to lighten the mood by bringing appropriate analogies related to such luminaries as Chesney Hawkes and Barbara Woodhouse whenever I can... Well, anyhow, my blog is glosswatch.com/ which is a very silly name, so the next post will probably be all about that (hence a self-hating post, resenting the page it has to inhabit...).
Enjoying getting to know everyone here! Mumsnet is far sillier and swearier than I imagined - it's ace!

TipsyShambles · 09/05/2012 23:20

Ooh, hello.

I blog sometimes tipsily, sometimes shambolically, sometimes pedantically, sometimes tetchily, hence I call myself Tipsy Shambles and Tetchy Pedant interchangeably.

However, I say, "Oh FGS!" a lot about all sorts of things, often telly and social media related, cos that's what I do for a living, innit, but also re children, parenting in general.

I've been blogging years on all sorts of subjects, but this is my blog, not a corporate one or somewhere I have to keep my thoughts "on topic", so it's my current favourite Wink

Here tis: ohfgs.blogspot.co.uk/

I've done a couple about The Apprentice recently and one about P&G's patronising "proud sponsor of mums" ad, which makes me want to kick people.
