Hi bloggers,

You may have noticed we're growing in size Smile. New bloggers are coming to us every day looking for a place in our community.

We'd like to give them a boost into our blogging network and help introduce them to some of you more established bloggers. We'd love new bloggers to be able to meet and greet the old, and we're excited by your joint blogging ventures where you're getting together to make a difference.

So we'll be introducing one new blogger a day in the third slot on our blog homepage and we're opening up this thread for newbies to the network to mingle and make merry with blogging pros. Welcome!

Hello bloggers!

I am Libby and have just started my blog truly myrtle at trulymyrtle.blogspot.com.

I am an arty crafty mum of four and write about knitting, sewing and generally making stuff. Come check it out!

I am totally new at all of this and super excited at the prospect of learning from some seasoned bloggers! I haven't quite got the look I am aiming for with the layout and hopefully I'll work that out as time goes on. It is such a great adventure so far!

hi Ali - I've visited your blog - fab idea! Smile

I have one suggestion - hope that is okay? You haven't linked your links (if you know what I mean) Hyperlinks I think they are called.

It is quick to do - when you are drafting you can select the specific words that you want to hyperlink ie bell tent and then click on the small "link" icon at the top of the post and another window will pop up. You can then copy and paste the web address into the window and hey presto - your words will take your readers straight to the site without all the other web related guff being seen.

Hope that helps! Sorry if you already knew this!!!

Hi all newbies!

A couple of questions have been asked in the thread above which I don't think have been answered yet... So here goes;

recipe junkie it takes a while for the photos to be appear, as the folks at MNHQ have a few to do. But it will appear after a couple of weeks usually I think. They are lovely, so I am sure they won't mind if you email to check it's arrived with them.

aria aural the posts automatically appear in the recently posted section once you ve registered with mums net bloggers forum and have copied their badge onto your site. Sometimes they is a hiccup if the timestamp on your blog is out, so check your blog posts are showing as posted at the right time you publish them. Sometimes they default back to the time you started writing, which then will obviously be back down the recently posted list. Check back through the pages too... Sometimes we all seem to hit publish at the same time !

I hope that helps. Grin

Right.. I have more of the thread to catch up on, so back in a tick.

kej75 I like your blog. The boundaries around depression are so blurred, and it is really helpful for people to realise that they are not alone in feeling down after pregnancy (or indeed at any time) . Thank you for sharing your experiences.

yummymummyreally · 16/02/2012 12:44

honeysmummyedk I love your blog. I've not come across Lisa Eldridge before but will be checking it out... That before/after pic is great. Not sure about the home birth question. I was personally too scared to be that far from a kitted out hospital. (I am a woose) Do you share your posts to Twitter so I can get the updates through there? If so can you pass on your @ please?

I am at @ymummyreally. Thanks Smile

yummymummyreally · 16/02/2012 12:46

Hello! I've been writing my blog now since last August but it's my first time on this forum Hmm
My blog is about lovely things to buy for me and my baby, although a lot of it is window shopping.

I also love to write about money saving ideas like cheap and healthy meals, craft ideas and cheap days out!

My URL is here

Hello to all the talented bloggers here,

I've just been accepted to the blogging network, have been reading some of your stuff and its such an amazing variety and so well thought out.

Not sure where I fit in, mine is an Illustrated Blog that I started because drawing was all that was keeping me sane and DH suggested I share my doodled stories :) nothing terribly deep

I Don't Know Why She Does It

I'm still working on the format etc but trying to keep it simple, focusing on the comics.

love and luck

Been blogging for only a few months, still consider myself very new. Trying to record my thoughts, concerns, joys etc as my wife and I await the arrival of our first child - due in April. Would like to write a book one day, so feedback and comments most welcome. Writing style definitely evolving (or confused?!) - oscillates between sentimentality, comedy and reflection.

I also tweet, but that is more as an educational psychologist than an expectant father:

Boo81 · 20/02/2012 12:01

Hi! I just joined the bloggers network a few days ago. I'm a 30 year old living in London, mum to a gorgeous 11 month old girl.

Myself and my OH got engaged last year and I started blogging about our wedding planning in November. I never realised how much I would love blogging. I now blog about all things wedding related and am in the process of setting up a London wedding directory.

This is probably only of interest to anyone who's not actually married yet, but I thought I'd post this message in case there are any engaged peeps looking for London wedding inspiration!

I'm new-ish. But so happy that I found mumsnet and have joined the blogging network. There's so much going on here, and being me, I really don't want to miss out.

I think all mums and bloggers should be a part of mumsnet, so congrats to everyone joining. I hope I'm new enough to be given an introduction on the homepage :-)

Agentmumpreneur · 20/02/2012 16:11

Hi, I'm a novice blogger but not a novice mum. I'm a mum to 3 great kids, 2 dogs, 2 rabbits and love and work in property (my business). I hope to get very involved in the blogging world, when I should be at the gym instead, as a blogger, a follower and a commentator.

Here's my blog agentmumpreneur.wordpress.com/ Thanks for reading ;o)

Hello all new bloggers wherever you may be. I am a new blogger too, although have been going about my business of helping ladies who for whatever reason, feel they have a problem with their drinking for many a moon. One of my more computer literate clients has frog marched me into the interweb! So no longer can I hide under the radar!!

My blog is a compendium, sharing knowledge, understanding this taboo subject, particularly amongst women, written in the hope that highlighting the problem may help girls come out of the closet, or should I say the wine cellar!

Hi - i'm new here - this is my blog - adoptandkeepcalm.wordpress.com/ - I've just started blogging in an attempt to keep myself sane as I wander through the ups and downs with my 4 year old. He is adopted and brings me great joy, but also lots of challenges - big & small!

hjh72 · 21/02/2012 12:56

Oh, meant to say, as well as the blog adoptandkeepcalm.wordpress.com/ i can be followed on Twitter, along with other great adoption folk!
