Hi bloggers,

You may have noticed we're growing in size Smile. New bloggers are coming to us every day looking for a place in our community.

We'd like to give them a boost into our blogging network and help introduce them to some of you more established bloggers. We'd love new bloggers to be able to meet and greet the old, and we're excited by your joint blogging ventures where you're getting together to make a difference.

So we'll be introducing one new blogger a day in the third slot on our blog homepage and we're opening up this thread for newbies to the network to mingle and make merry with blogging pros. Welcome!

polkettle really interested in your blog. I love children's books too. I attempt to write them myself! It's good fun. Do you have a Facebook page for your blog? I find that the easiest way to get notified of new posts on my favourite blogs and would love to "like" yours.

Loving all the new blogs.

why thank you both... Don't have a Facebook page...this is why I'm here to find out What To Do. I shall look into it forthwith :) Already enjoying (and being distracted from Interacting with my children by...but...you know...telly's on for them...) the links to other blogs here.

Enjoy a whole new world of Joan Aiken justaboutisnowakiwi ! Her Armitage family short stories, and Arabel's Raven also fab but completely different- for another review later.

Interested in this thread?

Hi I am new too, I started blogging to avoid doing housework and so far its working, house is a tip!
This is a great way of meeting other bloggers and asking more experienced bloggers the juicy questions us newbies need to know,
I am not a writer, but just love beautiful things, and indulge my fantasies of Interior design, baking, pig rearing, odd mix, yes I know!
Come on over..you are very welcome.

@ justaboutisnowakiwi... yes...we are fortunate to have got them all in a special 'bookpeople' deal (obviously a sell off when they went out of print now I think about it). All very good, but most of the rest cover topics fairly well served by others too, and the blue whale one is the stand out title to me your wallet will be relieved to hear!

This is my first post on the forum, here's to many more..

LittleRedFarm · 24/01/2012 19:34

Hi millmae,
I just took a look at your blog and I love it! I don't know what it is about being a mum that makes me so interested in other people's families, I'm so nosey! I wasn't like that before I had children.

Hi all! I've literally just joined MumsNet and I'm looking forward to chatting with you all. I'm Nicky from London and I have an 8 year daughter Kiki. I'm a huge blog addict and I mean HUGE so hoping to find some nice new blogs to have a peek at! I'm yet to start my own blog so might need a little help on the way.

Nice to meet you all,

NickyElla

Hi everyone! I started blogging in December, and I've just come across the Mumsnet bloggers network, so thought I'd join so that I can find other blogs to read and hopefully make some new blogging friends :)

I love to write, and I love to see others read it and get something out of it ? maybe it encourages them, makes them laugh (hmm maybe? if they share my slightly odd sense of humour), gives them a different perspective on something, or introduces them to something they?ve never heard of before. I thought the internet would be a good way to share my writing with others. Hence the blog, where I share snippets from life as ?me? - mum-hood, my faith as a Christian, craft and baking, languages and linguistics, swimming to keep fit. That's why I named it Mixed Bag of All Sorts. It'd be great if other bloggers found it encouraging/useful/interesting/funny etc.

Looking forward to more blogging fun :)

oldpolicehouse · 27/01/2012 19:26

I am overwhelmed and totally excited to be feature as a newbie blogger, an amazing feeling that people actually look at my blog and said lovely things! I am now off to spend my friday evening looking at all your blogs and getting to know you all. (I was millmae but have now changed it to the same as my blog - to try and make life easier).

Scary thing to say but any feedback about anything to do with my blog would be great!

Thank you fellow mummy bloggers

ArielAural · 28/01/2012 08:39

hello,

I'm new too. I started blogging this month as a place to have a rant really. I realised I was bending the ears of my friends and partner a bit too often :)

I haven't really written anything since uni days, some 20 years ago, so it seems a bit strange, but enjoyable. I'm here: [email protected]

I'm looking forward to exploring the bloggers.

I've just had a look at www.theworkingparent.blogspot.com/

The post about "One Ponce at a time..." really made laugh.

AllPurple · 28/01/2012 16:54

Hi all, I'm very new to Mumsnet, and hope it's ok that I'm posting here (that I don't have to sign up for anything else before doing so etc!)
Anyway, I have a website www.mayamin.co.uk which provides quality parenting information and gorgeous Scandinavian children's clothing - all in one place!
My blog is called Love&Learn, and I aim to give parents the latest news and research within the world of parenting and child development.
My background is in psychology, I am Norwegian based in Oxford, I have a 2.5 year old plus another little one on the way, and my other half is Welsh (he's also a psychologist). Wink
I am not blogging enough at the moment, think I need to find ways to encourage myself. Any advice very welcome, as well as around how to most effectively create a community and get people looking regularly.
Have just discovered this 'club', so will check out all your blogs :)

Hi AllPurple!
I really love the design of your site and blog: really simple and clean.

I make Scandinavian inspired clothing! All organic but so far only sold in Paris (where I live at the moment).
