It goes extremely well, although today has provided sadly few opportunities for wasting time on t'internet communing with like-minded people. After a day of dance class spectatorship, shopping and other errands, we have been to the local Roxy, watching one of Mr Scorsese's oeuvre. 'Twas gorgeous.

I just thought that if you'd been over-indulging in the PC, dear Johnny might have come over a little queasy.

But instead you've been canoodling in the back row of the local picture palace.

Yes, whenever there's a choice we always see things in 3D, although I often find it doesn't quite work - probably a mismatch between the 3D specs and my lorgnette.

I loved it - it's set in Paris, it's about (amongst many things) a lost boy and the history of cinema, which is one of Mr Scorsese's things and it looks absolutely beautiful. It's a proper film, made for families (although the fact that they have an 8pm screening suggests that it's not just aimed at children) and is in a different league from most of the films we have seen en famille. The Girl said it was "cool".

Now we also want to see the Muppet movie, Happy Feet 2 and (so help me) Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked.

Now the Muppets I would really love to see. Are they in 3D, too?

I'm assuming the Muppets will be in 2D and 3D, as everything seems to be these days. They are apparently tweaking all the Star Wars films into 3D and The Girl is very excited about that, too.

That sounds great Maud. I'm definitely going to take Miss S to the see the Muppets too - she's got a couple of DVD's and it looks quite good.

I did pop into our local cinema yesterday and ask the woman at the box office is she had any idea what trailers were being shown at the Saturday Morning Pics showing of Tintin in a couple of weeks time !

Obviously I haven't got very far - waylaid with Lucas FF on WP.
