We have, Spiro. It's a goody.

He?s six foot something and mostly consists of granite and stubble is my favourite description of him ever!

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 10/11/2011 23:13

Sorry - took so long to post that LadyD had already answered my question before I asked it!

TransylvanianVampiress · 10/11/2011 23:13

Stubble and granite!! Mmmm! WinkGrin

Thanks, Spiro. Smile Nice to read it again, even though it does contain the dreaded circus.

DumSpiroSpero · 10/11/2011 23:20

And here's one for Maud although I'm sure we'll all appreciate it (Envy at DDA notwithstanding)

I really should know better than to be looking at interviews - I will be useless for the entire weekend if I keep going. Blush

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 10/11/2011 23:20

Gruff mill owner? Gruff mill owner? They dare to dismiss my dear Mr Thornton in a mere three words?

::Knows what she will say next time the Telegraph ring up trying to flog a cut-price subscription::

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 10/11/2011 23:25

Oh thank you, Spiro. I hadn't seen that for ages.

"There was an instant chemistry". Yup, that entirely sums up my relationship with Mr Thornton.

::collapses on Aubusson::

LadyDamerel · 10/11/2011 23:25

At least they mentioned him, Maud; poor Gizzy isn't even referenced.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 10/11/2011 23:28

Hmm, fair point.

Right. I'm off to the boo-dwarr for more poultice application and cough-medicine imbibing. Good night all!

::Looks back::

How deep his voice is when he says "I'm sorry that your mother was unable to join us".

::Quivers::

LadyDamerel · 10/11/2011 23:28

Of all the lucky leading ladies he's worked with, the best/most natural chemistry was definitely with DDA.

LadyDamerel · 10/11/2011 23:30

::avails herself of Maud's spot on the Aubusson and collapses::

It's divine, indeed, Maud.

Sleep tight. I hope MrT's poultice application is rewarding for you tonight.

SupermassiveLBD · 10/11/2011 23:32

poor Gizzy isn't even referenced

But that will have to wait till tomorrow, I am falling asleep here, for once.

Bitey knight, all.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 10/11/2011 23:34

::Looks back again::

Well, to be frank, LadyD, I'm beginning to doubt Mr Thornton's poultice application skills as I am still so grievously afflicted. But, hey, every cloud has a silver liming.

::Contemplates endless future of Mr Thornton's tender ministrations::

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 10/11/2011 23:35

Or lining, even.

Good night, Massive!

LadyDamerel · 10/11/2011 23:39

Night Massive! Has Gizzy made it back to the Island, out of interest?

Maud, that is indeed a silver lining.

I was told I looked 'tired' today by two people so I will retire too.

Spiro, step away from the interviews Grin.

DumSpiroSpero · 10/11/2011 23:41

Sweet dReAms Maud and Massive.

Lady D, you're probably right about the chemistry factor, I think Lucas in particular didn't have much luck with the ladies - I never really 'got' the whole thing with him and Maya tbh.

DumSpiroSpero · 10/11/2011 23:43

...and Bitey Knight Lady D

Actually I think I've done my blood pressure enough damage this evening already.

TransylvanianVampiress · 11/11/2011 07:33

Did someone mention interviews?! ......

Oh my? Swoonity swoonity thud thud wibble!

TransylvanianVampiress · 11/11/2011 08:01

cool no need to read the book now I can watch the new film!! [lazy reader emoticon!] Grin

TheSmallPrint · 11/11/2011 09:34

Hello, must run, I think that Wuthering Heights film looks very interesting.

Will pop back later but have to go to meetings now. byeee.

TransylvanianVampiress · 11/11/2011 10:29

School said can't say about the strike and if school will close until nearer the day. Don't suppose anyone fancies changing the date just in case? Or maybe plan another one for the new year?]]

TransylvanianVampiress · 11/11/2011 10:48

Bit scared. Got my first missed call on my work mobile from an unknown number - could be my first proper unknown client! I should ring it back shouldn't I?! HmmConfused All a bit grown up and serious now!

SupermassiveLBD · 11/11/2011 10:56

Is it a 0115 number, Vampy? If so it'll be Gizzy, wanting his feet rubbed.

PassTheTwiglets · 11/11/2011 11:18

Hello! Sorry have been absent for a while - TwigBoy's been off nursery all week and just not had much time to play.

I was also going to suggest changing the date just in case but not sure if people have already booked train tickets? I don't need to book in advance so I can go whenever (any date in Novemeber except 28th but have several December dates I can't do). Maud, I have been meaning to say that I'm not going to get into London before our meet :( Have got several London things coming up and can't afford another train fare yet! New Year, for definite.

I really loved all your comments/links about the commune - that was very amusing! I loved Gizzy's room! All that chunky wood - fabulous!

As for baby names, I am constantly amazed that DrTwigs was happy with MissTwig's name as he tends to like very boring traditional names. But I knew from the age of about 12 that if I ever had a daughter that would be her name. As for TwigBoy, we easily agreed on his name but would've struggled if he'd been a girl. I really wanted Flora for a girl but everybody else hated it. Everyone made comments about the margarine but I still maintain it wouldn't have been an issue. I like names that are unusual but not wacky or weird. I read a great quote once that sums up exactly the sort of name I like. "When you call your child in the playground, you want him to be the only one who comes running - but not because all the other boys are chasing him" :o The names I loathe are the surnames for first names - Mackenzie, Mason etc.

SupermassiveLBD · 11/11/2011 11:21

Twigs! How is Twigboy now, poor little chap?
