The Principal

Get well soon Maud!

Hello again, RL had called me away... I love Blackadder in general. what got me was how beautiful the costumes were, even though it was only for a comedy series. They don't make 'em like that any more.

Re Marie Lloyd, I get the weirdest sensation every time Kat Moon hoves into view at the Queen Vic. ( sorry, our English telly fodder resources are at tad limited, here on the Island)

Watching Spooks in the bath? Oooh, that must really get you in the mood for that swimming pool scene. Lucas might just plonk down beside you at any minute, in those rather nice jeans.

DumSpiroScaro · 01/11/2011 21:47

He is looking mighty fine in those jeans in ep 2!

::overlooks Massive's confession re. viewing of Eastenders due to extenuating circumstances::

Not to mention all the flirting and going out drinking with the lads, Twigs. If dear old Percy posted on MN about her we'd all be shrieking 'Leave her!' Grin

DumSpiroScaro · 01/11/2011 21:53

Nah, we'd be too busy calling Percy an abusive control freak and telling her to leave him.

From Rich to Richie, must be a bit of a comedown for her, though. Wonder if she has fond memories of the trampolining...

pARGHssTheTwiglets · 01/11/2011 22:00

LOL @ from Rich to Richie :o

I am cross now so I am going to bed. It's one of those things that I need to Stay Out Of but someone on FB has just told my SIL that her baby ought to be in a routine by now. The baby is ELEVEN DAYS OLD.

SupermassiveLBD · 01/11/2011 22:03

Not in a routine at eleven days old? Golly, what a late developer! Smile

Take no notice, Twigs, stay up and talk to us.

DumSpiroScaro · 01/11/2011 22:07

My baby's still not in a routine at 7 years old (mind you, neither am I at 36!)

OP posts:
LadyDamerel · 01/11/2011 22:09

Can you privately message her and tell her that this person is talking out of a particular orifice and direct her to MN so she can see for herself? Or post the FB 'advice' on here and then send her a link to the resulting ridiculing?

LadyDamerel · 01/11/2011 22:20

All you knowledgeable Spooks aficionados - in Spooks 7.1 how does Ros know who Lucas is when she's only just got back from Moscow and hasn't, as far as I know, ever met him?

ComeIntoTheSinisterGardenMaud · 01/11/2011 22:24

::Staggers in::

First things first. If you weren't a mere child, LadyD, you would know that . If, though, you want to listen to girlie bands, you can choose between and .

::Dances round handbag in arthritic fashion::

Twiggy - I don't know what the others are fussing about. Tell your SIL that not only does she need to get that baby into a routine Right Now, she must also start on the flashcards and Suzuki violin, or the poor mite will have no chance of getting into a super-selective nursery, let alone a Russell Group university.

DumSpiroScaro · 01/11/2011 22:25

I was wondering that too. He knew Tom though, so I guess it' possible she also trained with them?

Over to you Twigs...I missed the other Ros/Adam years so don't know if any references were made.

OP posts:
ComeIntoTheSinisterGardenMaud · 01/11/2011 22:25

Isn't the point that Lucas is legendary within the service, in the way that Evil Connie was? His fame and news of his release presumably preceded him.

LadyDamerel · 01/11/2011 22:33

But as far as I can see, she doesn't even know Lucas was with Adam. She only asked about Adam in the taxi and he only says 'Tranquility is that way' when she sees him at the memorial. And why doesn't she assume that Lucas is Tranquility?

ComeIntoTheSinisterGardenMaud · 01/11/2011 22:36

Now you are demanding recall of details which probably eluded me even at the time. When was this first screened? We geriatrics have excellent recall of what happened 60 years ago and what happened yesterday but nothing in between.

And has anyone noticed how close we are to needing a new home?

DumSpiroScaro · 01/11/2011 22:40

What shall we go with for the new premises then - Lucas perhaps - as he is our man of the moment?

OP posts:
SupermassiveLBD · 01/11/2011 22:41

I really must watch Spooks again so i can pick up on all these details. In my previous viewings I have been too distRActed by the Obvious.

Yikes, yes indeed, it is That Time again. It has really crept up on us.

LadyDamerel · 01/11/2011 22:42

I was hoping someone else had spotted that too Maud, it's not a responsibility I want.

Spooks 7 was end of 2008, I think. I suspect it is a question for Twigs but she appears to have gone to bed in a strop Grin

ComeIntoTheSinisterGardenMaud · 01/11/2011 22:48

I have an idea but it's not a Lucas one. And I think we might have had something similar before but can't remember ::senile:: and can't motivate myself to go and check.

So, dare I?

DumSpiroScaro · 01/11/2011 22:51

Go ahead Maud - I think I've done the last two so it's about time someone else had a go!

OP posts:
LadyDamerel · 01/11/2011 22:53

Go for it, Maud. We have no particular focus at the moment thanks to a ceRtAin person selfishly committing himself to a ridiculously long shoot on the opposite side of the planet so anything is good.

SupermassiveLBD · 01/11/2011 22:59

Attagirl, Maudie!

LadyDamerel · 01/11/2011 23:02

Where is it?

ComeIntoTheSinisterGardenMaud · 01/11/2011 23:11

Oh crumbs.

::Waits nervously to see if anyone turns up::
