::sends MrT in with the Deep Heat::

Poor decrepit Maud.

::looks up numbers for nursing homes::

SupermenacingLBD · 31/10/2011 12:30

Morning ladiez, just a quick post and run. RL beckons.

Oooh, some of that dancing is just plain rood, IMHO.

Bring back the Valeta say I. Grin

I hope everyone has a far better week than they think they will.
All power to you and your work, Small and not just because I want you to have the time to design that pool we need to dunk the TDH in, now and again.

And good luck with the unpacking, Vampy. Not a pleasant task, i always think.

LadyDamnearhell · 31/10/2011 12:31

I can never see Matt Baker on the One Show without having visions of those hips in those trousers during the Samba.

Which inevitably leads to imaginings of another pair of hips in some tight black trousers........

DumSpiroScaro · 31/10/2011 12:34

Hello!

Vampy - I'd recommend this if you need a bit of help explaining it all to the DC's. We got it when Mr Spiro's gran died and found it very helpful.

As for Harry and his Guyliner - I've spent the last 24 hours thinking you meant Harry Pearce wearing Guyliner and going wooft??!!! Grin

Thank you, everyone, for reminding me that I am Extremely Old. I am already feeling very Mondayish so I have no alternative but to go back to bed with a hot water bottle.

TransylvanianVampiress · 31/10/2011 13:28

Aw maud. I don't think you're old. You're only as old as the man you feel so they say let's just forget that mr t is many hundreds of years old shall we?!Grin When you come to the trucking AppReciAtion Society meet you can prove to us that you are young and carefree as the rest. WinkGrin

ComeIntoTheSinisterGardenMaud · 31/10/2011 13:33

::From the boo-dwarr::

It's alright, Vampy. I can see that LadyD is just trying to get me out of the way, so that she can have the delectable (and very youthful at 185 years old, far younger than that scoundrel Gisborne) Mr Thornton all to herself.

pARGHssTheTwiglets · 31/10/2011 13:45

Oh but they were delightful clipis of the lovely Mr Baker, Maud!

pARGHssTheTwiglets · 31/10/2011 13:45

Clips!

ComeIntoTheSinisterGardenMaud · 31/10/2011 14:01

I suspected it would be, Twiggy, but I found the other two first and thought they were plenty! For me, MB seems so nice and wholesome that I find the grungy eyeliner look just too, err, incongruous. And don't get me started on the jacket that looks as if it's been fashioned from a bin bag ...

.

Right. World ironing mountain tackled (it built up during my Platothon) so I'm off to the costermongers. A bientôt!

ComeIntoTheSinisterGardenMaud · 31/10/2011 14:21

::Looks back on the way to the costermongers::

There's nowt wrong with it at all, but (as I sed) I find it incongruous on someone who seems to be sweetness personified. The sympathy for the devil look suits some men more than others, I feel.

SupermenacingLBD · 31/10/2011 14:27

Gawd, don't you just want to cheer him up...

ComeIntoTheSinisterGardenMaud · 31/10/2011 14:27

Please allow me to introduce myself, I'm a man of wealth and taste.

SupermenacingLBD · 31/10/2011 14:37

Wealth? Nah! Taste? Doubtful. But tasty, you certainly are, Sir Bitey Knight

DumSpiroScaro · 31/10/2011 14:50

So, what's the Academy verdict on this little gem? Grin

OP posts:
SupermenacingLBD · 31/10/2011 14:55

I saw that, Spiro and am at this very moment crafting a careful response, which I shall sign 'Disgusted of Tunbridge Wells'.

No mention of our Man? How very dare they! Angry

TransylvanianVampiress · 31/10/2011 16:06

Just sent that to the colonel Spiro in my defence!!! See what his response is! But agree with menace - why our man not there?!Hmm or maybe we should be pleased that we are a RAther more exclusive little club!!!Grin

I came on here to say I love love Sky plus!!! It's only gone and recorded SB1 on his own accord as it must be linked to SB2!!Grin. Now I just need I persuade the colonel not to just delete it!!Hmm

TransylvanianVampiress · 31/10/2011 16:14

Thanks also Spiro for the link to that book - I've popped it in the basket --and hopefully will restrain adding any RH DVDs (what season best though if I do get SFV?)

DumSpiroScaro · 31/10/2011 16:58

I've only watched the first two and would say that 2 has more 'phwoooaaarrr!' moments, but you really need to see S1 to get the background.

OP posts:
ComeIntoTheSinisterGardenMaud · 31/10/2011 17:02

Did you notice the particular reference to forty-somethings, though?

::whistles innocently::

SupermenacingLBD · 31/10/2011 17:03

S3 has its moments too, I must say.

SupermenacingLBD · 31/10/2011 17:07

Yes, Maud, I did. I thought that was very rude. As if you aren't entitled to feelings, after the age of twenty-five.

TransylvanianVampiress · 31/10/2011 17:37

So all 3 series then?! Grin

SupermenacingLBD · 31/10/2011 17:41

Definitely all three, Vampy, if you want to have the best perve grasp the true scope of the almost Shakespearian tragedy of it all.
