Knighty night, Massive.

Marian has just refused to marry Guy again and he calls her woman in a way that should not make me react the way I have Blush.

SupermenacingLBD · 27/10/2011 23:46

Perhaps they had a sale on at Past Times so they bought a job lot.

LadyDamnearhell · 27/10/2011 23:46

Here comes Richie....

I think I need some new Guy-proof pants.

I think I need some new Guy-proof pants.

I'm not sure they exist!

Just read with on a website:

Handsome Lech: According to Richard Armitage, this is how he was playing Gisborne, especially in the first season, saying that he "wanted the audience to squirm every time he got near Marian." Judging from the Fan Preferred Coupling that goes on, he failed utterly.

Grin ROFL!

OP posts:
DumSpiroScaro · 28/10/2011 00:23

And how sweet is this?

Richard Armitage states on the DVD commentary that after he learnt that his character was going to murder *, he had several nightmares in the days leading up to the shooting of the scene.

DumSpiroScaro · 28/10/2011 00:33

Aha!

Tragic Keepsake: Marian's ring, presumably her wedding or engagement ring except it looks totally different to both of those, retained by Robin in the first episode of series 3. He buries it at the end of the episode after deciding he can't dwell on it.

Good Lord I need to get a life don't I?

OP posts:
LadyDamnearhell · 28/10/2011 00:38

Ah, bless him. I've read/listened to quite a few interviews with him where he talks about Guy killing Marian and how he still isn't convinced it was the right thing to do.

I can see why the writers felt they had to do it in order to move S3 on but I wish they hadn't made Guy kebab her. Poor Gizzy.

pARGHssTheTwiglets · 28/10/2011 07:06

Morning all!

Spiro, LOL at your Jaffa Cake advert. That phrase, said in that accent, is in our repertoire Chez Twigs and funnily enough I was going to post 3 pics of the mojito cake in various stages of eatenness with those captions on FB the other day!

LadyD, I'm too late with this now but just to say that I also hated the Dean episode of Spooks. It was much too upsetting.

I've always wondered about Marian's different-coloured rings too - I just assumed that the memory was going!

We've watched a few RH3 episodes in the last few days but I haven't been paying attention and was often dozing or laptopping so I have no idea what's going on now. I'm up to the bit where Isabella comes in...

DumSpiroScaro · 28/10/2011 08:41

Morning - how's everyone at Twigs Manor today?

Yes, the Jaffa cake quote is a regular with me too!

I'm making the Mojito cake this weekend, although I'm wondering about adapting the recipe to make cupcakes as there's only 3 of us and no way we'll eat that - really have to get back on diet next week.

OP posts:
pARGHssTheTwiglets · 28/10/2011 09:51

Well there were only 2 of us here, Spiro and we managed it :) I think it would work better with cupcakes actually (albeit more work), as there wouldn't be as much cake for the syrup to soak into so it should get to the bottom more. Tbh, I'd leave out the rum altogether next time (I don't really like the flavour) and just have it as a lime and mint cake, but it's obviously more fun for a girly evening if it's a cocktail in cake form :)

All much better here today, thanks. MissT on the mend today (first time she's eaten in 3 days). I am still aching lots but feel heaps better. I may have just been a b!tch to DrT though :( I went up to bed early with MissT and then had a lie-in this morning but nothing had been when I got up so I've come down this morning to tidying, laundry, giving breakfast to TwigBoy, hoovering etc. which really got me down. Am I not even allowed one day of being illw ithout the hosue falling to pieces?! He did his small little "but I was trying to help" voice and the kids have been very demanding of his time, so he probably didn't much spare time to do chores. Funny how I find time though Hmm

How are you feeling today, Spiro?

DumSpiroScaro · 28/10/2011 10:15

Still snuffling and tired (but that's self inflicted and not too bad as Miss S played on her DD & didn't drag me out of bed til gone 8!)

Working this afternoon which I could do without but money will pay for our meet up next month! Shall I book us a table at Pizza Express?

Am going to make the cake in two sandwich tins & douse them with syrup separately. Was thinking you could adapt that recipe to make a chocolate-lime cake - mmm!

Poor old Dr Twigs - it's bloody frustrating though. I think Mr S expected to come home to a spotless house & 3 course meal yesterday...oops!

Morning all

At least our darling RL men are helping keep our vision of PR alive!!Wink

The colonel is a right old grumpy so and so at the moment! Can't wait til his current job is over but no doubt the next will be just as stressful and time-consuming!! He'a obviously picking up on the tension though as I apparently I pushed him over a cliff last night in his dream and refused to admit it was my fault that I walked him too close to the edge!!Hmm But I mean come on, of course it was his fault not looking where he was going!!Wink

I did have a dReAm though it was more about him picking up that he was being stalked by us!Grin

Anyway... Glad you are both feeling a bit brighter today. I still like the sound of that mojito cake!

Another sunny day in the castle by the sea. Hope you all have good days. Smile

pARGHssTheTwiglets · 28/10/2011 10:41

Spiro, that's a brilliant ide about making it in two tins and dousing separately! If you are happy to book a table, that would be brilliant, thanks. There are usually loads of vouchers around for BOGOF at PIzza Express so I'll have a lookout for some.

Vampy, the Colonel's next job wouldn't mean another, dare I say it, house move, would it?!

DumSpiroScaro · 28/10/2011 11:00

It's just an excuse to put butter icing in the middle as well as on top really!

Morning Vampy. Grumpy dh's = pita. Although Mr S has just come back from shopping with a pumpkin in tow much to Miss Spiro's delight.

OP posts:
TransylvanianVampiress · 28/10/2011 11:06

New job has always so far meant another house move twigs!! But we are now based within commuting distance of quite a few possibilities so it's not a certainty!! Won't know anything til a few months before it all happens so I just go with the flow!

We just got a pumpkin! This adternoon's activity!Smile

TransylvanianVampiress · 28/10/2011 13:17

Twigs!! Just seen in my now totally empty built in cupboard in my castle bedroom that not only is the back wall painted a lovely white albeit matt not gloss there is a real wood skirting board round the edges!! And it's carpet tiled too!! And it made me think immediately of you!!Grin

pARGHssTheTwiglets · 28/10/2011 14:26

ROFL, Vampy!!! :o

I've got a good'un from Facebook for you all:

Marriage is like a deck of cards: at first, all you need are two hearts and a diamond but after a while you'll wish you had a club and a spade.

LadyDamnearhell · 28/10/2011 17:45

Grin Twigs - brilliant! I have every sympathy in the world with your rant at DrT, that's exactly how it is in my house whenever LordD is left in charge.

Took the MiniDs to see Lion King in 3D today. The endless bickering and tale-telling was getting me down so I decided to ignore the cost and go. If LordD is going to booger orf to the other side of the world for half term week, what does he expect me to do with them? Grin

Has Massive been cut off from the rest of the world again?

How goes the cake making and eating, Spiro?

TransylvanianVampiress · 28/10/2011 20:17

Evening all!

Ladyd of course you should go out and enjoy yourself - how else are you meant to survive holidays on your own without lord d? I've got from April to October next year when the colonel is not allowed to take holiday you've no idea how hard it was to get him to take this week of!Shock

Yes Spiro - how goes the cake?

Started this an hour ago

Just found out the colonel's mother's chemo has failed and there is nothing they can do for herSad. Just waiting to hear what we talking - days, weeks, months. Sad. He's in bits. Sad

LadyDamnearhell · 28/10/2011 20:43

Oh Vampy Sad. The poor Colonel and his mum, and you of course. I have no idea what to say but please take care of yourselves and do whatever you need to do to get through the time she has left. Sending you some very, very big ((hugs)).

DumSpiroScaro · 28/10/2011 20:47

Hi Vampy - so sorry to hear your news, and how utterly hideous when he's under so much pressure at work.

What LadyD said too - and a big hug from me. Thanks
