Oh and I know about Connie being a double agent. LordD has always been a huge Spooks fan but I've never properly watched it, being as I mentioned earlier, a total wuss.

Ooh, Lucas and Adam sneaking into one's bedroom in the middle of the night, now there's a thought.

DumSpiroScaro · 25/10/2011 21:56

Hope you're not too stressed out with it all and absent DH, Lady D - what bloody awful timing for him to be away.

Well our plans for the next couple of days have just been shot to sh*t. Were supposed to be going to London and staying over with DH's best mate tomorrow night, but his partner has just phoned to say that they have friend of hers coming from abroad to stay tomorrow and he'd forgotten so now we can't go Hmm.

So now we're chasing our tails trying to sort out trains/tube routes etc to London Zoo from here, Mr S is off to do an emergency shop for packed lunch stuff, have had to scrap our other plans and have the delightful task of breaking the news to Miss S in the morning and dealing with the resulting strop whilst trying to get out of the house.

To cap it all I've turned down overtime and rearranged a hospital appointment this week so we could stay with them in the first place. Am not impressed. Angry

I was having a very similar one about Gizzy and Prince John t'other night Grin.

Oh Spiro. I hate it when plans change so last minute even though it's a constant fact of my lifestyleHmm Hope DD is ok about change and have a good day despite it all. Hope weather is ok tomorrow.

Lady d I'd take any combinations of Lucas in my room!!Blush

LadyDamnearhell · 25/10/2011 22:05

How infuriating, Spiro, and at such short notice too. Do they have DCs? I know a few of LordD's child free friends can be more thoughtless about altering plans than those with dcs.

Who is the mixed race guy on the Grid? Is he the one who Connie kills?

LadyDamnearhell · 25/10/2011 22:08

Oh Lawks, Lucas is speaking Russian.

::drowns in own dribble::

SupermenacingLBD · 25/10/2011 22:09

Oh, bummer, Spiro. What a pain! I certainly hope you are rewarded by a deReAm, One about a whole RAnge of chaRActes sneaking into your room at dead of night.

SupermenacingLBD · 25/10/2011 22:11

Mmm, I really must revisit a few Spooks DVDs. Its a shame to give Gizzy 100% of my custom...

DumSpiroScaro · 25/10/2011 22:12

No, they don't have DC's. They have been together for years and whilst she is very nice when we do see her, she rarely comes down or joins in anything - even the big stuff, weddings, birthday parties etc (friend is down most weeks at some point so this is her choice not circumstances).

DD will be gutted as she dotes on her godfather and really likes his DP, even though she's only met her about 3 times. There would have been the added bonus of their pet cats to snuggle too, so I suspect there will be tears in the morning.

That guy is Ben, and yes he is - with the underwire from her bra no less!

Preferably tomorrow night though, otherwise I may not be able to get out of bed in time to catch the train! Grin

Cripes, is Adam about to go bang in the car full of explosives?

LadyDamnearhell · 25/10/2011 22:18

And yes, he is.

That was a short but sweet appearance in S7 for Mr Potato Face, wasn't it?

SupermenacingLBD · 25/10/2011 22:19

I am sure they will bare bear that in mind, Spiro.

Do you have to get up very early?

DumSpiroScaro · 25/10/2011 22:21

Not too bad. Leaving about 8.15.

SupermenacingLBD · 25/10/2011 22:21

Poor Mr PF. I still keep hearing that Lady Gaga number. Grin

LadyDamnearhell · 25/10/2011 22:26

Spiro, it's always difficult when only one half of a couple is the 'friend'. We've had a few friends fall by the wayside as a result of new girlfriend/boyfriend not liking us (can't think why, we're fairly normal Grin). Oddly, LordD's closest friend from Uni was out of our lives for several years because of his horrible witch of a girlfriend, he's since split up with her and now has a lovely fiancee and their friendship is back on track.

TransylvanianVampiress · 25/10/2011 22:44

I hated that car explosion!! He may have got out somehow!Confused. How you fairing lady d - is PSM keeping you feelin safe?!Wink

Spiro - poey partners are a pain - this one sounds awful! But poor dd. Grin at your inability to get up after a particular gReAt dReAm!Grin

I just found a signed photograph from this man!. He had a lot of hair when Iet him - must have been in 1990ish! We were on a train together and he chatted me up I seem to remember! Shame he's not a bit more famous!! Interesting memory to resurface though!!Grin

LadyDamnearhell · 25/10/2011 22:55

PSM is most comely, especially now he's had a hair cut and been on a shopping spree at Prada and Armani.

I am still bricking it a bit nervous, especially when the scary music starts. On to e2 now. Lucas is talking to Elizabeta/Elizaveta in the cemetery now.

SupermenacingLBD · 25/10/2011 22:59

That music has a lot to answer for! Grin

LOL @ shopping at Prada and Armani, I don't expect PSMs pop into Primark, all that often. but it'd be lighter on the tax-payer.

TransylvanianVampiress · 25/10/2011 23:06

I always wonder what prigrme would be like without the incidental music - adds so much character and atmosphere doesn't it?!Hmm

ComeIntoTheSinisterGardenMaud · 25/10/2011 23:07

::Staggers in::

::Whispers to Academicians:: Toe much improved, thank you whoever asked, although still a bit achey and puffy.

::In Mr Thornton's hearing:: Oh, ahh, my poor toe. The doctor insists that it should be rubbed hourly with peppermint foot balm. Could you assist me, my dear?

Lovely to see you again, LadyD, although I'm sorry to hear about your granny.

Vampy - What is the Colonel's grievance? That you are having a torrid affair in your head with John Porter or that you have some friends who are imaginary and/or truckers called Dave he hasn't met? Because it seems to me that he's entitled to have a bit of a grumble about the first but on the second one that's your decision, isn't it?

Right. I seem somehow to have promised to make The Girl a spooky little number to wear to a Halloween party so I have an urgent appointment with the sewing machine. Will be back later to see who's still awake.

::Hobbles off::

LadyDamnearhell · 25/10/2011 23:16

Vampy, I'd love a button to turn off the soundtracks and just have the voices. I wouldn't be nearly as nervy watching things like Spooks then.

::conveniently ignores the complete lack of atmosphere created by such a function::

SupermenacingLBD · 25/10/2011 23:20

Aloud: What, not better yet? I do hope gout has not set in Sad

Goodness, you mean you can sew ?

DumSpiroScaro · 25/10/2011 23:26

I had a sewing machine for my 30th as I was going to take up quilting.

6 years later I've had a practice run and hemmed a pair of trousers with it, and bought a fair nit of fabric but...Hmm

OP posts:
LadyDamnearhell · 25/10/2011 23:27

::sends mending basket to Maud::

While the machine's out, would you be so kind?

So glad to hear that your toe is on the mend, albeit extreeeeemely slowly. My extensive medical knowledge gleaned from watching Casualty many moons ago leads me to tell MrT that it is vital to continue massaging the toe and perchance Maud's shapely ankle with the peppermint foot lotion in order to facilitate a complete recovery in time.
