The Principal

Get well soon Maud!

::Hobbles in::

Oh, Spiro, that's exactly what I need and I quite like the foot lotion too.

Some of us were getting quite anxious about when the new thread would open, you know.

DumSpiroScaro · 20/10/2011 23:24

Well that pic certainly works for me, Maud!

OP posts:
LadyDamnearhell · 20/10/2011 23:28

Oh, that has cheered me up after a tedious day of modelling and icing Grin. Spiro, you are a genius with the photoshop, my dear.

::arranges chaise longoo in front of woodburner::

There you go Maudy, that should be little more comfortable than the darned old Aubusson.

SupermenacingLBD · 20/10/2011 23:34

Isn't that totally inSpiroed?

The proportions are spot on, too, which makes it all the better. And RP will do her nut! Grin

SupermenacingLBD · 20/10/2011 23:37

But alas, I must away to my bed. Sweet dReAms, all.

DumSpiroScaro · 20/10/2011 23:38

Well we do like a chaRActer with all the right proportions! Wink

Technically I'm not that crash hot at Photoshop in the grand scheme of things, but I can do what I want to with it lots of arsing about then!

OP posts:
DumSpiroScaro · 20/10/2011 23:38

Night Menace and thanks! Wink

OP posts:
DumSpiroScaro · 20/10/2011 23:44

And a bit of culture for anyone who's not already checked out this thread

OP posts:
DumSpiroScaro · 21/10/2011 02:23

Chapter Five now posted for anyone fancying a bit of light entertainment of a Friday morn.

Possibly best left until the kids are safely despatched to school though! Wink

LOL at the foot lotion pic, Spiro! Very clever! Can't wait to give Chapter 5 my full attention

Beautiful Lucas pic, Maud. Oh would you just look at his ickle face.

Spiro, that poetry thread had me crying for about 2 hours, gave me a msassive headache and I couldn't sleep that night. I was really enjoying it but then there was one that was so upsetting and I just coudsln't stop thinking about it and sobbed and sobbed. So can I advise anybody with little DSs to maybe give that thread a wide berth if you are sensitive about these things?

This, on the other hand, is the funniest thread I've read on MN in ages. It gets funnier as it goes on. Though you will see an embarrassing little confession of mine :o

TransylvanianVampiress · 21/10/2011 08:37

Found you!!! Loving the principal. But i will say as an aside that proper reflexology uses none of those lotions and potions it is pure magic manipulation of reflex areas!

I'll have to practise some hand reflexology on PSM all you ladies with sore feet I think!!

Can't wait til I'm settled in my Dracule castle by the windswept shores of the northern country where I'll be back on broadband to read spiro's latest chapter!! And catch up on these other threads!!

Have good fRidAys all!! Smile

DumSpiroScaro · 21/10/2011 09:00

Morning Ladies.

I must admit I wasn't as mushy as usual over that poetry thread, but TheFirstMrsDeVere's post did set me off - one to avoid if you've got DD's and are feeling a bit sensitive, especially if you know the back story. Very very beautiful and apt though.

Will have a look at that thread in a mo. I had a dReAm last night, but as ever, he was around but not quite there iykwim...very trying!

pARGHssTheTwiglets · 21/10/2011 09:17

Well apparently I am an auntie again. I found out via Facebook Hmm

DumSpiroScaro · 21/10/2011 09:21

OMG! Who and what flavour Twigs? And congratulations Thanks!

I thought you were this on t'other thread:

I once had sex in a hospital bed with the curtains only half closed, with Rupert Penry-Jones

Then I saw your name further down - not both at the same time, surely?! Shock Grin

OP posts:
pARGHssTheTwiglets · 21/10/2011 09:30

I think it was just one of them but thankfully it wasn't clear enough to remember any details :o

As for the baby - I have no idea Hmm

pARGHssTheTwiglets · 21/10/2011 09:35

I was crying with laughter about Brian Blessed being "boomy and grateful". And Richard Madeley asking how your womb is - OMG, funniest thing ever.

Ah, girl flavour, apparently - no name yet. MissTwigs will be thrilled as she was the only girl amongst 3 boys on that side of the family.

DumSpiroScaro · 21/10/2011 09:41

I presume that's Dr Twigs side then?

Even one half of Jedward would be bad enough. I still think my favourite sex thread on MN was the 'Celebrities you'd like to...' about a year ago. Some one said of Benedict Cumberbatch:

"He's very sexy, for a thin man and I bet he'd do the nasty like a rocket."

It was just the context on top of all the other posts - I was crying with laughter for about 20 minutes!

Grin

Right - off to make pancakes for brekkie, get the house straight and pop to Waitrose for something nice for Mr Spiro's birthday dinner.

TheSmallPrint · 21/10/2011 10:37

Morning, I see we have moved

Spiro love the photoshopping! Grin and I have just read Chapter 5, can someone please pass me JP the smelling salts and the IF

Now I'm off to read that other thread - not the poetry one, I don't need to cry today after the week I've had.

Twigs, I am about to name change back, last chance to look at fireplace before it is gone forever..........................

TheSmallPrint · 21/10/2011 10:50

Twigs I found out about one of my siblings getting engaged on FB.

PassTheTwiglets · 21/10/2011 12:08

Yes, DrTwigs' side, Spiro. His other brother found out about the pregnancy when other people congratulated them on FB!

Small, I couldn't see your photo but then realised that I had to change back names to see it. It's lovely, is that slate on the floor, or granite? It's really stylish, whatever it is! Sorry you have had a bad week :(

Is it MrSpiro's birthday today? Hope you all have a good evening if so. Or even if not :)

LOL about Benedict Cumberbatch! Yes, it's the cumulative effect of the previous posts that makes it so funny, isn't it? I had to use my asthma inhaler at the sleb dream thread 'cos I was laughing so much!

DumSpiroScaro · 21/10/2011 13:03

Mr Spiro's birthday tomorrow but it's lads night so doing family gubbins this eve.

OP posts:
TheSmallPrint · 21/10/2011 16:42

Twigs, yes it's a polished slate covered in an inch of dust. We don't use the fire, it's purely for decoration but I have now research tiny woodburners that I could fit in there so I don't freeze to death this winter.

ComeIntoTheSinisterGardenMaud · 21/10/2011 16:44

::Hopes Mr Thornton has some bromide in that wicker basket as well as the foot lotion::

pARGHssTheTwiglets · 21/10/2011 21:20

Watching Have I Got News For You and the lovely Alexander Armstrong is on. Afore I could think what I was doing, I blurted out "oooh, Twiglets!" Blush It went unnoticed though :)

DumSpiroScaro · 21/10/2011 21:30

Will have to have a look later - by the time I jump out of the bath it will have finished.

Re your Smurfs query on FB, Twigs - I'd recommend Zookeeper if you can find that on cheap somewhere. Miss S & I both loved that!
