Maud, if you can't get to a doctor today, can I recommend Solpadeine Max? They are the only over-the-counter drug that touches bad pain for me. Lots of lovely codeine. How is it today?

I don't own and have never tried on Converse - I don't really get them, do you wear them like trainers? Boots? And presumably they can't get wet (they look like canvas, yes) I do quite like them but have always wondered if they are comfy or not And hi-tops can only be worn with trousers if you have legs like mine so that's a bit restrictive. SKinny-legged Amy Pond ROCKS this look though They're on my list of things to try though.

LOL, just a small thing but missing out punctuation makes this look completely different. I meant to say "(they look like canvas, yes?)" but the ommitted question mark makes it look like I'm giving myself information, Yoda-style :)

I wear mine with jeans or combats, Twigs. They are almost like walking barefoot , but don't be tempted to buy imitations. I got a lovely purple pair on eBay, new, for £7 on the grounds that I wasn't fussed about them having a label on them - they looked great but the fit was rubbish. I couldn't believe the difference when I bought myself the real thing.

I shall ask the Colonel but something tells me he wouldn't approve of me in converse trainers. I shall ask him as a point of discussion this evening! But with size 8 feet I really think they may not be that flattering on me!! AP though does carry them off well! Jealous of her? me? Never!

Vampy, you can be on my LoL if you want (I charge £5 for the honour) but I was referring to when you said that I hadn't noticed your sarcasm about my decorating saga, so I meant that you were on a sort of list of trouble :)

Do they do sparkly ones? I had some gooooorgeous silver sequinned plimsolls (£5 from Asda!) that I used to love but they fell apart after about 3 weeks.

Only a mere 5 foot 11inches, unless I'm wearing heels Small, so not too tall for a 6ft 2in man! And I can almost still breath up here despite the lower oxygen levels!!

I'm about an inch shorter than you but slouch very badly so look about five foot nothing , Mr Small is very tall, I think I have a pic on my profile and will show you our relative heights...
