I don't play chess either (can't even tell the pieces apart) but I once had a Gentleman Caller who offered to teach me and then mentioned the Thomas Crown Affair with rather a saucy look in his eye. Perhaps Gizzy would offer you a tutorial?

It was quite good RP, Kitty weirdo was last she was not bad. Results tonight and each judge has to kick someone out of their respective groups.

None of them are really standing out this year so far! But I'm still watching!!. Some definite characters in there! Particularly Louis' group!! Probably why soldier boy comes over as not much character as he's comparatively normal!!

Why oh why do the males of the species feel it necessary to shout and cheer and clap whilst watching sport on their own, in their own sitting room?

Spiro, I have actually been going to bed really late most nights, just not MNing then. As for X Factor or Strictly - Strictly! But MissTwigs is soooooooo annoying when we watch it - she dances around throughout and then when the judges are giving their verdict she pretends they're talking to her and I never get to hear any of it! I watched X Factor the year Will Young won but we haven't watched it since.

Maud, yes, we could all encourage each other with the not-eating-constantly thing. At only 10 grapes for 1 WW point then I'm out with those though :) I hate the gym too but it worked really well when I did it before. Spiro, yaaaay on losing 2lbs, very well done! I am starting again tomorrow - seems I am either dieting or pigging out and I'd love to get to a stage where I could just Eat Normally!

I looked up Ceroc classes and there are some near us but not on a night when mum is here to babysit :( I know it says you can go on your own but ooooooooh no, too scary.

The way today is shaping up so far I'll be hitting the comfort food and putting that 2lb back.on with interest in the next few hours.

Does DrTwigs ever dance, Twiggy? Is he in any way musical? Can he count to 4 and hold a short sequence in his head? Because in my experience with The Bloke I have heard from a friend of a friend that taking along a man who is a genius in other areas but (with the best will in the world) just cannot remember the steps may be a source of tooth-grinding frustration. Then again, part of the reason for going is to learn how to dance together as a couple. Can you not find a local babysitter or another mum at school with whom you could trade free babysitting?

My soup has just exploded in the microwave now I'm going to have to make something else for lunch. It was really nice soup too.

I'm not ok today either. Hit the dairy milk I found in the fridge!! . Where's perfect Richard when you need him?!

It wasn't about whether he wanted to dance, RussianPony, It was about his ability to distinguish between his left and right foot. This is why I love Strictly - I can imagine what it would be like to be whisked around the dance floor by someone capable of more than dad-dancing. !

In fact, I think I might need to go and lie down for a while.
