Who's first, me or Small? Grin

Only 6 episodes, Massive.

I'm not sure what is happening with Harry. He's become slightly renegade this series, something to do with an ex-girlfriend of his whose current husband is definitely a Baddie. Anything more than that is beyond my comprehension.

I need an Idiot's Guide for after each episode!

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 16/10/2011 22:14

It is, Massive. Next week we're going to have more explosions (someone tried to blow up the Home Secretary tonight), fighter jets over the Channel and goodness knows what else. But now I must go and get on with my reading.

Be good, everyone, and I'll see you tomorrow.

DumSpiroSpero · 16/10/2011 22:15

I think Harry has always had 'dark side' potential personally.

Just seen the protests outside St Paul's - great stuff - wish I could join them!

LadyDamerel · 16/10/2011 22:15

Night Maud. Enjoy your book (What is it? Anything worth a peruse?).

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 16/10/2011 22:19

::Looks back at you::

D H Lawrence - Sons and Lovers. I haven't read anything by him since I was at school, so it's a very different experience now.

SupermassiveLBD · 16/10/2011 22:20

What are they protesting, Spiro? The sad travesty that was john Bateman, and they all want Lucas back? Grin

Sweet DReAms, Maud, when you eventually get to that part of the day.

It's this, Massive

Not sure I'm 100% anti-capitalist tbh, but a lot more balance certainly wouldn't go amiss.

SupermassiveLBD · 16/10/2011 22:34

Saw the news stories, Spiro. I certainly agree with you there. Certain parts of society seem to have become totally divorced from reality, to my mind.

DumSpiroSpero · 16/10/2011 22:41

I don't think you can entirely blame the business/financial institutions either, although there is certainly a lot of room to bring them into check and use some of their ridiculous profits to help sort the situation.

Reality TV and celebrity mags have a lot to answer for imo (and I'll admit when I was younger I was a demon for celeb mags). But young people now are being bombarded with images of pop 'stars' and footballers who have so much, so young that they all get the impression that is you aren't world famous and in possession of a fleet of Hummers and mansion with a pink mirror tiled jacuzzi by the time you're 20 - you're a failure.

Combine that with the fact that previous government (of both persuasions) have made debt a fact of life for teenagers by constantly increasing the cost of Uni - and you've got a recipe for disaster.

SupermassiveLBD · 16/10/2011 22:51

It certainly is a funny old world nowadays. No wonder we prefer make-believe Wink

Must head up the wooden hill now myself. Goodnight, all.

I'm going up too now. Night all.

Russianpony · 17/10/2011 06:43

Morning!!

Perhaps if our girl band fails at x-factor and we are unable to get our fleet of hummers and pink tiled jacuzzisHmm we should become spies or better still run for government! We'd make a better attempt at running the country I feel!! first law would obviously be all men to be leather-clad with cravats PRs!!

Ah I see about the tortoise did laugh when he said Harry looked like his tortoise!! What was he burning? I need these details!!!Grin

So here we are beginning of a new week! Smile. Have good days!!

PassTheTwiglets · 17/10/2011 07:36

I wanted to know what he was burning too, RP but I don't think it was important. I think it was just showing us that Harry has lots of secrets and that he's expecting to be in trouble soon so is 'clearing the decks', as it were.

Russianpony · 17/10/2011 12:30

Thanks for the photo Twigs.

I was going to post this there, but thought here might be better!!

She looks beautiful (dwarf-like I think is the phrase you're thinking of!). Not showing DT in his best pose I feel though! He looks slightly manic! Grin.

Also can't believe it wasn't you getting your photo taken with him - I'd have been there in a shot, pushing DD out the way fast, whilst whistling innocently!! Smile

Why can't we have [hwine] or [hbrew] by the way? [hhmm]

Russianpony · 17/10/2011 12:31

Oooh look at that - I made a new emoticon?! Can you all see a blue-boxed question mark or am I just special?? I was trying to have a halloween cup of tea!! Comme ca.... [hbrew]

PassTheTwiglets · 17/10/2011 12:45

Who looks beautiful, RP? Surely not Catherine Tate?! (I thougt it was a dreadful one of her!) Yes, DT certainly does a good line in grinning, doesn't he?! He seems to pull the same face in all 'pics with plebs'. I have some others where he looks really nice and normal but don't think I put those ones up. It wasn't a great experience, really - poor little girl had to wait 1.5 hours and then she just got really scared and nervous and it was all over in about 10 seconds! It was a bit scary with crowds pushing etc. I probably wouldn't have taken her if I'd known what it was like. She was the envy of her schoolfriends though :) Well, amongst the ones who don't tease her for liking 'a boy's programme' Hmm

Right, painted a wall (why does trhis blinkin' wall need so many coats?!) and am just off to get the lad's hair cut.

Russianpony · 17/10/2011 13:04

Miss twigs! I only looked at the one picture of her and DT. She was being called elfin/gnome-like I thinkGrin. Now going to have to look at CT's one.Smile

PassTheTwiglets · 17/10/2011 14:43

Oh, thank you, RP! LOL though, it didn't even occur to me that you could be talking about MissTwigs, as it is literally the worst photo of her I have ever seen!!

PassTheTwiglets · 17/10/2011 16:55

Sorry LadyD :) Good job we live in a detached house, I was belting out Yesterday Once More...

LadyDamerel · 17/10/2011 16:57

It's obligatory to belt out Carpenters songs, Twigs. Were you doing stupid dancing too?

PassTheTwiglets · 17/10/2011 17:10

No, as was up a ladder at the time :)
