Who's first, me or Small? Grin

Will this doctor do Maud?

Just spring chickens we are but I don't think I'm the youngest within the academy!Smile. Anyway, you're only as old as the man you feel isn't it how it goes so that makes all of us 40 doesn't it?!HmmWinkGrin

Just realised that I haven't given the colonel my his best present. The strike back DVD!!! Shock. How could I forget that? Or do you think I was subconsciously wanting to keep JP locked up in my cupboard?!Grin

Russianpony · 16/10/2011 20:35

What have you done by the way? Hope nothing too serious? And painful?Confused

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 16/10/2011 20:39

Thank you, both. I got entangled in a briar rose and have a nasty puncture wound on my wrist. I do hope I don't get tetanus. I wonder if the doctor would take my pulse?

LadyDamerel · 16/10/2011 20:58

I would suspect he would find it rather tumultuous if he did, Maud. The Priory garden contains rather a lot of roses that attack me on a regular basis. I appear to be tetanus free so far if that helps? Grin

LordD must be the youngest spouse here I think at a very youthful 32. He is my toyboy, needless to say.

Today has not been too bad. Lovely long walk in the sun with dogs, children and parents then fabulous roast dinner at PILs so I am slightly less grumpy than I have been thus far.

Twigs, I think you are very brave going to the Dr Who thing. I'm with Massive re. hiding behind the sofa to watch it. I'd have been sobbing with MissTwigs had I been with you.

RP, I can't see the Colonel's cake Sad. Does that mean I'm not on your mates list?

Oooh, Spooks time.......

Russianpony · 16/10/2011 21:00

Just quick as its spooks. Sorry ladyD I just took it down ::paranoid emoticon!!:: I'll pop it back up tomorrow for you. Of course you were on my mates list!! Grin

LadyDamerel · 16/10/2011 21:04

Ta!

::watching Spooks from behind safety of laptop screen as usual emoticon::

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 16/10/2011 21:05

I have a constant string of gardening injuries, LadyD, but as this thorn punctured a blood vessel and I can't remember when I last had a tetanus shot I have been more generous than usual with the Germolene.

::Throws Chanel No5 in bin, in favour of Eau de Germolene::

He is your toyboy? Ooh la la. But of course, Mr Thornton would be my toyboy were it not for the fact that he's 170 fictional long dead immortal.

I think I might watch this Spooks from behind the sofa.

SupermassiveLBD · 16/10/2011 21:07

Enjoy Spooks then, everyone [henvy]

::Peeps out from behind the distressed Chesterfield::

I'm still here, Massive, as I dare not look too closely.

Russianpony · 16/10/2011 21:19

Too exciting!!

Massive Lucas is back alive!!!WinkGrin

Sorry that was mean!! This series is rubbish compared with others - except when dimitri takes his shirt off!!Grin

SupermassiveLBD · 16/10/2011 21:33

I am sure little Dmitri can only be a very minor league shirt-doffer, however, RP.

Have you given the Colonel the rest of his pressies yet? I only hope he doesn't get his hopes up too much when you tell him you have something else for him, at this time in the evening

OP posts:
LadyDamerel · 16/10/2011 21:35

Hullo Massive! I only ever half watch it then drive LordD to distraction asking questions because I missed the key moments Blush.

LadyDamerel · 16/10/2011 21:36

Hahahaha @ the Colonel getting all over excited Grin.

LadyDamerel · 16/10/2011 21:43

Oh My God

And that's why I hate Spooks. My heart is pounding and I'm shaking. I hate sudden popping outs Grin. Not sure watching 7 & 8 on my own is going to be a good idea.....

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 16/10/2011 21:46

::Necks Polish cordial::

SupermassiveLBD · 16/10/2011 21:51

Maybe it's as well I can't watch it.

At least with 7 and 8 you will know Lucas will be okay in the end, LadyD.

Series 9 happened in an alternate universe, of course, and is Not True.

OP posts:
DumSpiroSpero · 16/10/2011 21:56

That's definitely not a tortoise in harry's garden!

LadyDamerel · 16/10/2011 21:57

Series 9 will be the same as RH3.13. If I haven't watched it, it never happened Grin.

Russianpony · 16/10/2011 22:01

What was it with the tortoise in the garden?!ConfusedHmm

Funny you should say / the cornel did appear excited when I told him I'd forgotten a present. I feel he may be a tad disappointed!!Grin. But at least he'll get something on his actual birthday!!Wink

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 16/10/2011 22:01

::Necks more Polish cordial::

Phew! One more week to go and then I can stop biting my nails.

DumSpiroSpero · 16/10/2011 22:03

I missed the first half of Spooks tonight and tbh haven't been giving it the attention it requires in previous weeks.

I presume Harry has 'gone Bateman'? Confused

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 16/10/2011 22:06

I think (although this drama involves no cravats so I don't really understand it) that Gavrik's constant references to his tortoise were a hint that something had been buried in Harry's garden. But then again, we know from previous series that MI5 personnel have a habit of taking highly-classified documents home and burying them in the flowerbeds, so maybe this little excavation was all Harry's doing.

I need to contemplate something beautiful and soothing.

SupermassiveLBD · 16/10/2011 22:06

Snurk @ the Colonel. hope springs eternal in the male breast, does it not.

This is a shorter than usual series, then, Maud?

OP posts:
ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 16/10/2011 22:07

I'm not sure, Spiro. I'm relying on next week to make everything clear (some hope). I can't bear to think that stolid, steadfast Harry might have gone over to the dark side.

SupermassiveLBD · 16/10/2011 22:11

Strikes me the whole of MI5 were really working for the Other Side. And presumably all the Other Side were really working for us Confused
