Who's first, me or Small? Grin

Loved Teenage Dream , Small. Being a teenager was never this much fun, though.

Sorry Irene was a bit too cheesy for you, it made me laugh.

There is something about the way he says 'lady' that makes me come over all unnecessary

LadyDamerel · 15/10/2011 16:24

Yay! I love Come on Eileen, it was our 6th form anthem. We used to jump up and down for the whole 4 and a half minutes, fuelled by vast amounts of Two Dogs, Thunderbirds and Snakebite and Black. Happy days!

Will watch those properly later tonight once everyone else has gone to bed.

DumSpiroSpero · 15/10/2011 17:03

OMG! Teenage dReAm is absolutely right and I don't think of him every time I hear that song anyway, I'm far too sensible Hmm Blush

The John Porter bits...perfect, and the way Gizzy looks at Marion at 2.11.

DumSpiroSpero · 15/10/2011 17:13
but there are some great clips!
Russianpony · 15/10/2011 17:14

Argh broadband down cant view YouTube!! I love come on Eileen!! So reminds me of my youth babyhood!Grin

Hope everyone's had good/better days. I've just had coffee with a friend who's so obviously got depression it made me realise how lucky I am to have mine properly diagnosed and treated. I've told her to go to dr ASAP or else I'll march her there myself! .

Wonder how twigs' day went. Wouldn't it be great if DT had been there! Unlikely but I can live in hope that someone I've never met know has breathed his air. Tis why I'm in awe of maud so much!Grin

DumSpiroSpero · 15/10/2011 17:20

Twigs met DT during the summer RP - probably just before you returned to the fold!

Well I'm mightily Blush to admit it, but I've just watched the above link all the way through and I think I may actually have forgotten to breathe for the entire 4 minutes and 51 seconds! Grin

Mr & Miss S were dispatched about an hour ago and I have the house to myself until I have to leave at 7 - yippee!

Russianpony · 15/10/2011 17:23

When you say met are you saying actually touched??! SoEnvy!! Grin

BTW - annoyed on your behalf about mrS - hope you enjoy your girlie catch up first. Smile

SupermassiveLBD · 15/10/2011 17:28

Oh crumbs, and bozhe moi, Spiro, I shall be useless all evening, now. Good job I've already burnt done the dinner.

I am so lame, every time Gizzy comes on it's like a blow to the solar plexus.

Not that I don't notice all the other bits Grin

OP posts:
SupermassiveLBD · 15/10/2011 17:31

I am sure MB means 'touch' in the spiritual sense, Spiro. So no need to Blush

::Breathes over the screen for RussianPony's benefit, just in case there's a molecule of Armitage left in there somewhere::

RussianPony - I have previously offered to sell bits of south London paving on Ebay, on the offchance that The Perfect Foot has trodden on it. Yours for only $1,000,000 (postage extra).

I too am allergic to Come On Eileen, but loved Teenage Dream (my favourite Glee song, as oft mentioned) and Good Old-Fashioned Lover Boy, even though there's something very odd about the sound there. Oh how I loved Queen.

::Sheds a tear for Freddie::

Your night out sounds fab, Spiro. Will there be dancing?

Russianpony · 15/10/2011 17:37

AngryAngry And deep breaths!!

"darling of course I'll be home by 5.30"
"Probably nearer 6, by the time you've all tidied up and driven back etc"

cue phone call just now

"match before ours started late, so we've only just finished. Just going for a bite to eat with the other side"
::screaming to myself - I'm cooking you a nice birthday meal!!!:: "does that mean you won't be hungry later darling?"
"probably manage something"
"What time do you think you'll be home?"
"what time is it now? 5.30? mmmmm? 7 ish??"

Why? Why? The one evening a week, I can possibly get some help with bedtime routine and he's going to miss it again!! Trying so hard to be excited about his birthday and about to make his cake, but just feel like making it with mud rather than chocolate would that be very childish?

And breathe!!! Ooooh I've just breathed in some RA breath from Maud - oh I feel all light and airy now and smiley. He's so good for our health ouR mAn isn't he?!Grin

Off to look at those links now to cheer me up before burning baking his cake!

SupermassiveLBD · 15/10/2011 17:38

Do you know what? i would just luurve to go dancing - doesn't have to be dsco or ballroom either, something really old-fashioned would do. Dashing White Sergeant, Gay Gordons, why, I'd even settle for Gathering Peascods or Strip the Willow. Grin

OP posts:
ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 15/10/2011 17:39

Oooh that bit at the start of Teenage Dream where his mother smoothes the hair on the back of Mr Thornton head.

::Elbows Ma Thornton out of the way::

And the visuals for don't ever look back.

::Swoons onto the newly-darned Aubusson::

SupermassiveLBD · 15/10/2011 17:41

Oh dear poor RP. Looks like a job for the rolling pin, to me.

OP posts:
Russianpony · 15/10/2011 17:41

Ooh Spiro - I don't think I actually breathed either during that vid!! Mmmmm! Feeling much happier now!! Enjoy your evening - i could do with a good night out - might get my handbag out later and dance round it!!Grin

SupermassiveLBD · 15/10/2011 17:43

It is such a gorgeous song and vid altogether, isn't it, Maud? It makes me go all misty-eyed.

OP posts:
ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 15/10/2011 17:47

Right, I know it's rather an early start but for those of use not going out tonight, let's have a virtual disco with mandatory drinking of Babycham and dancing round our handbags.

.
SupermassiveLBD · 15/10/2011 17:55

Hmm, slight miscalculation there, Maud. After that, my knees are too weak for me to dance.

That bit where he leans his head back against the wall and licks the tip of his tongue out. I actually groaned aloud Blush

OP posts:
ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 15/10/2011 18:01

Oh dear, I'll try again.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 15/10/2011 18:04

I am in a tizzy here. The bank sent me new credit cards yesterday and I dutifully cut up and disposed of the old ones. Except what I actually did was cut up my cashpoint card and one of my credit cards. So I have about 50p in my purse and no means of getting money out of my account until the bank sends me a new cashpoint card. Which will take about a week. Oh bum.

SupermassiveLBD · 15/10/2011 18:08

But Maudie, dear, and to quote young Britney, oops, he did it again! Grin

Great music though, and great hair tossing.

OP posts:
SupermassiveLBD · 15/10/2011 18:10

Poor Maudie. But entirely understandable. All that recent red-hot Gizzy-ness is bound to scramble any discerning laydee's brain cells.

OP posts:
ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 15/10/2011 18:16

Hmm. It was yesterday that I cut up the wrong bloody card, so Gizzy can't take the blame/credit. It was only now that I discovered the blunder. Gah.

The other problem is that all the good dancing tunes seem to have Gizzy visuals. .

Russianpony · 15/10/2011 18:18

Oh Maud - that is very very annoying. I hate having to cut anything up just in case I do it wrong!

Just found this!! Made me Smile in relation to Twiggy's seaweed aspirations at drama club earlier this week!

By way, kids are just making cards etc for The Birthday and I heard them say, let's put some army action men on and some men with big swords!!! I think they may be picking some stuff up from somewhere by osmosis as I swear I've never discussed this whole topic with them!!!Grin
