Spiro - I just can't read heavy english literature - TV/film adaptations are the best I can do. Tried Tess and got stuck, tried Far from the MAdding crowd and couldn't get further than chapter 3 I think. I've managed Jane Eyre, but only because it was a GCSE text! Can't even remember what else, or some Chaucer's Tale I think!

Although I do remember reading The Hobbit as a child interestingly enough!Grin

LadyDamerel · 03/10/2011 08:32

ROFL @ 'Gurning Meerkat', I missed that last night Grin.

As for Far From the Madding Crowd, I forced my way through it, skipping huge chunks of the countryside descriptions but it's not going onto the re-read pile. I just find Thomas Hardy too wordy by far.

Cranford by Elizabeth Gaskell is the next classic on my list but I've still got to finish The Hobbit, the Eleanor of Aquitaine novel and The Distant Hours first.

Right, time to dispatch the progeny to their educational establishment.....

PassTheTwiglets · 03/10/2011 09:12

Wow, RP - you seemed to go very quickly from "I think I might start this up again" to "I have a client"! That's great - well done! Hope you enjoy it.

Ooooh, who wouldn't like some bad behaviour with Armitage?

SupermassiveLBD · 03/10/2011 10:10

Another TGIM from me. I hope everyone has a happy, successful and Armitage-rich week, anyway, either in or outside the home. Smile

SupermassiveLBD · 03/10/2011 10:14

Aha, as always I forgot to ask something. Confused LadyD, what was the Eleanor of Aquitaine novel, and is it any good?

PassTheTwiglets · 03/10/2011 11:08

Ah, of course, Massive, the SuperBoys are back at school at last, aren't they?! Did they go back happily?

SupermassiveLBD · 03/10/2011 11:21

Well, happy wasn't the word they would have used. Twigs, but it describes me pretty well Smile

it's. oh. so quiet
it'a oh. so still
you're all alone
and so peaceful until...

SupermassiveLBD · 03/10/2011 11:28

you fall in love
zing boom
the sky up above

you've never been so nuts about a guy
you wanna laugh you wanna cry
you cross your heart and hope to die

Russianpony · 03/10/2011 11:50

LOL Massive!!! Grin What a fabulous picture!

Well I'm back. Survived my first professional client and she's still alive too!! And booked in for next Monday morning, when she'll actually be paying me!!Grin Whoop=whoop!! And she'll recommend you! Got another client booked for Wednesday, so hopefully a few a week will make the world spin smoother!! And the best thing is I didn't think about RA excepting that little thought came through my head that it could be his feet I was holding at all!Grin

Got any good plans for this week then Massive?

I read some fab books by Jean Plaidy (Very easy reading for me!), she had one about Eleanor Aquitaine among other historical women. I loved them!

Right - best get on and right up my client assessment and get on with some marketing material.

BBL!
xxx

Russianpony · 03/10/2011 11:50

Obviously I mean recommend me!!! although I'm sure she'd recommend you all as well to a good psychiatrist!Grin

SupermassiveLBD · 03/10/2011 11:59

Oh, fabulous news, RP. It must have given you a real sense of achievement. In fact I'd like to congratulate you on your magificent feet feat.

No plans for the week, I think I shall just be even lazier than usual lazy and try to get over that horrible cold I had recently. Learning history through Jean Plaidy is certainly more fun than dry of dust old history lessons were at school. They should just have issued us with a pile of the novels from the relevent period and left us to get on with it. I bet we'd have learned far more.

Russianpony · 03/10/2011 12:24

You still suffering Massive? - you should try some reflexology for that!!Wink. Shame we don't live closer. I'm offering a fab military discount and as one of our other husbands on this thread is John Porter and he is obviously military that would include you all in the discount!!Grin

Anyone know how to set up a business page on FB? Thought I'd make one as an advertising medium, but obviously want to keep it separate from my personal account - do I just open another separate account? Must look into that!

DumSpiroSpero · 03/10/2011 14:37

Can I just say...

Sexy Back 3 -big screen Grin Grin Grin

SupermassiveLBD · 03/10/2011 14:53

Yum, Spiro. You just have to watch it again, for me. Grin

LadyDamerel · 03/10/2011 15:20

I've seen Jean Plaidy's novels recommended a lot on MN. Once I reduce my 'to read' pile to a more manageable level I shall look some out at the Oxfam bookshop.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 03/10/2011 15:22

Have you tried the BWWMD on the big screen, Spiro? Or would that necessitate the use of the defibrillator?

SupermassiveLBD · 03/10/2011 15:39

Mmm, it's a shame you can't access that S3 version of Bad Things

Russianpony · 03/10/2011 15:58

Just watched sexy back 3 on proper computer. Wow!!!Grin

WOW!Grin

Had just had a little discussion shall we call it with DD and I just felt the stress lifting away as I looked into his deep blue sometimes green looking eyes!

LadyDamerel · 03/10/2011 18:52

Ha ha, this confessions's too true!

SupermassiveLBD · 03/10/2011 18:55

Maybe we should clone him, LadyD. Smile

It still wouldn't get me my Gizzy though

Russianpony · 03/10/2011 18:58

He's still single though isn't he as far as we are aware - so there's still hope!! oh shoot I'm already married aren't I?!Grin

Can I ask a favour of one of you lovely ladies who are on FB. Could I inbox you my link to my reflexology page. I just want to double-check that other than my name and town, there is no link to my personal page if that makes sense!! if I feel you're not a stalker/trucker, I may even become your friend personally!!Smile

LadyDamerel · 03/10/2011 18:59

Now that would be a damn good reason to trial human cloning, Massive Grin.

SupermassiveLBD · 03/10/2011 19:07

RP, I don't do FB, that is why I am not rushing to help.
Must rush somewhere else now. Sad BBL

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 03/10/2011 19:11

I could have helped last week, RP, but have just left FB. One day I may brace myself to leave MN too to devote all my time to dear John and his cravats.

PassTheTwiglets · 03/10/2011 19:11

I'm happy to help, RP... mail me the details...
