WARNING

Don't forget your hard hat, hi-viz gear and parachute. We lost a careless vice-principal this way only last year.

Well done on trousers front Twigs - I am currently only just getting away with my winter ones Blush. I had planned to do a detox this weekend but that idea's gone out of the window after all the work stress yesterday.

Since yesterday afternoon I am already a bottle of rose and a Twirl down and have a big bag of Maltesers at the ready for tonight's couch camping expedition.

Maybe next week again...

TransylvanianVampiress · 18/11/2011 17:52

Yay well done twigs!! Don't think of it as 4 months too late but 6 months too early!!Grin

I agree about how school performances should be about taking part and boosting confidence etc not the perfection of the delivery particularly as primary school age!

TransylvanianVampiress · 18/11/2011 18:00

Spiro after yesterday I'd say you've been quite restrained!! I've had 4 cupcakes but all in aid of children in need so they don't count!! And got a bottle of pink bubbles to have tomorrow evening to celebrate the colonel being a very brave boy about his operation!Grin

DumSpiroSpero · 18/11/2011 18:12

Will the Colonel actually be able to have any of the pink bubbles if he's just had an op or is that part of your cunning plan. Glad all is ok Smile.

TransylvanianVampiress · 18/11/2011 18:38

He's having a Russian pony now so I think pink bubbles will be ok! It was only a small op but an important one as we are not the gambling type and games of Russian Roulette were playing havoc with my monthly stress levels if you get my drift!Wink. Worse bit is he has to refrain from working on his Greek declensions as Maud so delicately puts it! for two weeks!! Not the time to have deployed BWWMDGrin

PassTheTwiglets · 18/11/2011 19:31

Hang on, the Colonel's had an operation?! What did I miss?!

PassTheTwiglets · 18/11/2011 19:33

Oh wait, I get it :)

SupermassiveLBD · 18/11/2011 19:34

Evening ladies, and well done Twigs from me too! ROFL @ six months too early. That is very clever!

I love the angels. Spiro, you are a Photoshop genius. - I did think though that Gizzy's wings would be black, as he seems so fond of the colour.Grin

And I must point out that I have nothing whatsover to do with the Bethlehem Bikers nativity play.

Couch camping a-go-go!

I am watching 'Grease' with Miss S - wish me luck!

SupermassiveLBD · 18/11/2011 20:25

I can't decide which I prefer, that or Saturday Night Fever

OP posts:
DumSpiroSpero · 18/11/2011 20:43

It's one of my favourite films ever, but I'm just started to realise how roood it is Confused Blush

Thankfully Miss S hasn't felt the need to ask me what 'flogging your log' means or what a "pussy wagon' is yet...

I was about her age when I used to watch it and all the grown up stuff went right over my head, so fingers crossed!

SupermassiveLBD · 18/11/2011 20:53

I was thinking the same thing about Grease, Spiro, but then came to the same conclusion. Mind you, you are good at thinking on your feet, so you would be able to come up with some clever explanation, if she does ask an awkward question.

OP posts:
DumSpiroSpero · 18/11/2011 20:59

I did fast forward Kenickie & Rizzo canoodling in the back of the car...I'm not that good at thinking on my feet!

DumSpiroSpero · 18/11/2011 21:01

I did manage to get us Twinkies though Grin!

SupermassiveLBD · 18/11/2011 21:06

Goodness, however did you find those? An American penfriend sent some to me, once, though I can't say I was struck.

PassTheTwiglets · 18/11/2011 21:07

Rather than the rude stuff in Grease, I don't like how Sandy is looked down on when she isn't 'cool' but once she glams up they all want to be her friend. Still love it though :) The theme tune is one of my fave songs E.V.E.R.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 18/11/2011 21:07

::Staggers in::

I don't know what you lot are insinuating. Mr Thornton and I were, as I said, continuing our studies of Greek grammar. We are now very nearly at A level standard, thanks to our dedicated studies.

Saturday Night Fever is one of my favourite films of all time, although, frankly, I'd be happy if someone just edited the dance scenes together and dumped the rest. Grease I like less, .

If you're thinking of going to see the Twilight film, have you read the reviews? The one in tonight's Evening Standard is possibly the worst panning I've ever read!

::Looks up from Greek Irregular Verbs: Conjugating for Advanced Students::

Spooky synchronicity, Twigster.

LadyDamerel · 18/11/2011 21:18

::has every thought driven out of her head by the frankly bizarre juxtaposition of MrT and Grease::

PassTheTwiglets · 18/11/2011 21:19

I would jinx you, Maudie, but that went wrong last time :)

There is an RA vid for almost every Grease song you can think of!

PassTheTwiglets · 18/11/2011 21:20

LOL @ Conjugating for Advanced Students :o

DumSpiroSpero · 18/11/2011 21:22

I love 'we go together' at the end, although I know every word to every sing (and most of the actual script!).

Twinkies were from here

We quite liked them, but you certainly wouldn't want more than one.
