WARNING

Don't forget your hard hat, hi-viz gear and parachute. We lost a careless vice-principal this way only last year.

Quite, Massive. My own research methods are far more rigorous and refined. ::cough::

Good nigth Spiro and Vampy!

SupermassiveLBD · 17/11/2011 23:25

Right, time I was outta here too. Goodnight, Maud, and anyone lurking.

OP posts:
ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 17/11/2011 23:32

Goodnight, Massive. I was just spending a few moments with Mr Higgins. But now it's time for me to go to bed too.

::Looks enquiringly at Mr Thornton::

LadyDamerel · 17/11/2011 23:59

::staggers out of icing sugar cloud just in time to see the hem of Maud's petticoats whisk out of sight as she mounts the stairs in hot pursuit of MrT::

I missed lots of lovely treats tonight, I see.

Ah well, see you all in the morning...

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 18/11/2011 00:08

::The bedroom door opens just a little. A small, delicate, lily-white hand emerges and waves at LadyD. The door closes and muffled laughter is heard.::

LadyDamerel · 18/11/2011 00:12

::bangs on the door::

Maud! I think MrT is canoodling with someone else. A delicate lily white hand has just waved at me from his bedroom door and I know for a fact that your hands are large and hairy.

Quickly! Go and chase the young strumpet away!

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 18/11/2011 00:17

::A note slips from under the bedroom door and lands on the drugget on the landing. It appears to have been written in some haste::

Lady D - You are mistaken. My hands are tiny and pale as porcelain. Now will you please leave Mr Thornton and I alone as he is helping me with my Greek declensions.

LadyDamerel · 18/11/2011 00:26

::stuffs the note back under, having some difficulty as there seems to be something pressed up tight against the bottom of the door::

Once MrT has finished splitting your declensions, please can you tell me where you get your hands waxed and the brand of hand cream you use. My hands are still a complete giveaway of my juggernaut manoeuvring lifestyle. Your, LadyD xx

TransylvanianVampiress · 18/11/2011 08:07

::rushes in::

Lady D (or in fact anyone) have you tried Cien anti-ageing hand cream? Tis gorgeous. Obviously a bit pricey at around £250 for 1 100 tubes and comes from a shop so high-brow I feel underdressed in my pearls and petticoats but who cares when you see the prices!! ::whispers very very quietly Lidl:: Shhhhh!Wink

Seriously best hand cream I've ever come across which I really need now as I wash my hands more than ever due to work.

Right busy morning ahead of grown up coffee with some RL friendsShock. Can't remember last time I did that!!

Have good days all - I'm so looking forward to watching and deploying the BWWMD later!!WinkGrin

TransylvanianVampiress · 18/11/2011 08:24

wib..

wibbl...

Nope can't even type properly.

Wow!! BWWMD not good to watch this early!

::finally collapses due to trembling knees and overexcited heart rate::

LadyDamerel · 18/11/2011 08:48

Fear not Vampy, help is on it's way.

TheSmallPrint · 18/11/2011 10:25

Lady D you had me weeping with your posts last night Grin

Morning all, well that was a waste of time and money last night, so glad I went Hmm AND I missed DT and GB

TransylvanianVampiress · 18/11/2011 12:56

Thank you so much Lady D Dr T for coming to my rescue!! Was a pretty powerful reaction there - I think I now know what your need your neutronium SFX underwear for (did I get the name right?Hmm)

So ladies, my lovely darking Vampboy has announced that he wants to be an Angel in the nursery nativity and the only boy angel costume that google came up with led me to wonder how ouR mAn might have carried

so do you magic Spiro and convince me of manly man being an Angel!! Grin

However, what's even better is that I saw a Hobbit-related outfit that although not our ChaRActer , is still related and I can legitimately buy it!! Any tenuous link ladies! Any tenuous links - it's getting bad!! Grin

TransylvanianVampiress · 18/11/2011 13:05

Resident scientist boffin here - just seen this in the news! the world as we know and understand it is obviously much stranger and more complicated, but at least I thinks this theoretically means we can time travel, so Maud can go meet Mr T and the rest of us Gizzy in leathers!!

Kind of makes the mind implode, so best not to think too deeply about it!! Stick to the mind-blowing of BWWMD! Grin

PassTheTwiglets · 18/11/2011 13:17

Oooh, is it out today, Small?! I really would like to see it. How far from me in drivingness are you, I wonder? Can't really afford train fare to London this month but maybe I could sneak over to you and we could watch it :)

Vampy, argh, I am so jealous of Vampboy being an angel. I've been saving MissT's angel outfit for 2 years as it STILL fits her (!) but yet again she's not an angel (neither in school play nor in personality :o) Although this year our angels are apparently on bikes and in leather jackets. I can't help feeling that's a Hell's Angel Hmm

I was asked to give an astronomy-related talk to the kids in our nursery but I have chickened out :o

TransylvanianVampiress · 18/11/2011 13:29

Black leather biker angels in a school nativity play?!Hmm Who's your Head? Massive???!!!Grin

DumSpiroSpero · 18/11/2011 14:33

What kind of manly angel are you after Vampy?

Good man sent by God

Fallen Angel

Tattooed Angel

And just for Twigs...Leather-clad Biker Angel

or all of the above Wink Grin

DumSpiroSpero · 18/11/2011 14:36

Miss Spiro is still waiting to find out if she will get to be Mary this year. They have had auditions apparently Hmm.

I must admit I am hoping she gets it too - I remember I always got crappy bit-parts and was gutted every year, not holding my breath though.

Still, anything human would be an upgrade from last year when she was a chicken!

TheSmallPrint · 18/11/2011 15:14

Grin at Massive being in charge of the leather clad Nativity play!

Interesting idea Twigs, not sure quite what the theme might be though Confused. yes, yes come over here, it is probably cheaper to pay the extra train fare than the London cinema prices!

SB Major is normally a present or a snowman or some such, he never gets picked for star roles, although personally I think he has leading man qualities Wink.

PassTheTwiglets · 18/11/2011 16:43

LOL, love the angels, Spiro!! Lucas looks right with those wings, like they were always his, hidden away.

I almost fell out with MissT over her Christmas play last year. She was given a role (a fairly non-important one, but one she really loved) but when she was off sick one day the teacher gave the part to another child and said that MissT couldn't be in the play!! Rotten cow. I still haven't forgiven her.

TransylvanianVampiress · 18/11/2011 17:16

Oh Spiro - any of those angels will do me, but yes they look like the perfect fit on Lucas!! Grin. i'm not convinced that Vampboy can carry that look off just yet Hmm and perhaps it is not the best option for a nursery nativity!!!Grin

Oh the wonders of school nativities - can't believe some schools don't even do a Jesus based one anymore - now I know that we have to accept all faiths etc, but Christmas is a Christian celebration! The kids all learn about Diwali, Hannakah etc, but then some people get funny about the main religion of this country! HmmConfused

Anyway, last year Vampyjunior was an alien! That common character in the nativity story!! Have to say it was a hilarious - some very talented teachers had adapted some pop song lyrics to fit into the story! Fabulous!Grin

ooh BB in a min - I can smell burning!Hmm

TransylvanianVampiress · 18/11/2011 17:26

ok - that's a new one on me - forgot to get last night's roasted peppers out of the oven, so when I switched it to heat up for the kids' supper they continued to cook and eventually burn! Grin. Right watch me burn their fish fingers now!!Grin

Anyway, what was I saying? Hmm Ah yes, nativities. I was always the tall person parts, so angels and kings and I never got to be Mary and I was devastated about it, but I was never the little cute girl that Mary always seems to have to be in school nativities. Vampyjunior doesn't seem to bothered by being Mary, so far!

Vampboy's nursery lets each child choose what they want to be, so it will be interesting how many Marys and Kings there are - but as I said he's chosen to be an angel! After I dissuaded him from being Jesus!!Grin Although he did play Jesus when he was a baby and I finally got to play Mary!! I was so pleased!!! Grin - I'll try and find a photo and pop it on my profile!

By the way Twigs, did you fall out with Miss T or her teacher? Vampygirl lost 3 of her 4 lines in her nativity year before last as she was off ill. I was really annoyed about it too, but she seemed pretty oblivious to it all.!

Oky-dokey - best go and watch the fish fingers - hopefully BBL.

Enjoy Twilight those of you going to see it - i've never got into those films, despite my obvious connection to vampires - maybe it's just too like my relatives close to home for my liking!!Grin

PassTheTwiglets · 18/11/2011 17:29

Vampy, I don't think it's that the schools don't want to be seen to do a Christian story, I think it's just the thing now to make it into more of a production, not to mention it being nice for kids to do something different to the same old nativity story every year. We have a different show each year but they are often based around the Christian story of Christmas.

As for Christmas being a Christian celebration - don't get me started on that one :o

TransylvanianVampiress · 18/11/2011 17:31

Oh no I know that it's good to have a different version of story how dull would it be to see the same thing year in and year out!!, but it's nice to see a little cameo at least by Mary, Joseph and Jesus I always think!! as then I don't feel so bad that I never got to be Mary as a child when it was such a main part!! childish and petty? Moi? Never! Grin

PassTheTwiglets · 18/11/2011 17:49

I always get irritated that the same children (the ones who go to Stagecoach) are always picked for the starring roles at our school. The same girl had the lead role 3 years running in the year above MissT! I can understand that the teachers want the play to go well and to show off class talent (and the girl in question was brilliant) but shouldn't it be about letting others have a go and not worrying if it's not perfect? It really bugs me.

In other news, I can finally fit into my summer trousers. Shame it's about 4 months too late :)
