Not entirely tasteful, but it's what we all hoped really isn't it?

TheSmallPrint · 13/09/2011 22:00

Ah yes Spiro, I'm familiar with those littles Misses and their male counterparts! Glad she had fun though. Smile

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 13/09/2011 22:07

Oh my. I do recognise your guest list, Spiro. Guests I have struggled with in the past include

Little Miss Quibble About Everything
Little Miss Won't Accept She's Out In Musical Statues (aka My Own Child)
Little Miss Loudly Proclaims She Likes None Of The Food And Have We Got Anything Else
Mrs Won't Leave Her Child's Side And Even Joins In Pass The Parcel

SupermassiveLBD · 13/09/2011 22:11

Mrs Won't Leave Her Child's Side And Even Joins In Pass The Parcel

Maybe she'd heard tell of the kind of parcelry to be had at Chareau Maud

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 13/09/2011 22:11

Poor Spiro will never get any sleep now although she may faint clean away!

DumSpiroSpero · 13/09/2011 22:14

Thank God we didn't have those to contend with as well, although one of the aforementioned hit the food with vengeance, only to leave virtually everything she'd selected.

I find the Miss Nosey's of partyland the most trying as they invariably bugger up my attempts to rig the party games.

That lullaby was delightful, Massive, particularly when followed by .

Off to beddy byes now - bitey knight (please I deserve sweet dReAms after today!)

LadyDamerel · 13/09/2011 22:15

Poor you Spiro. MistressD has a couple of Little Miss Nose in Everything among her cronies. I find them very hard to cope with so muchos sympathy.

On the subject of parties, MistressD has decided she wants an arty pyjama party Hmm: they're going to make a lot of mess on my kitchen table create beautiful objet d'art and then have a DVD and sleepover. I am hoping there will only be one or two who will be brave enough to stay and I intend to employ extreme tactics in terms of the guest list in order to avoid Spiro's experiences Grin.

No Gizzy experiences for me today, too much to do and same again tomorrow. ::twitches due to cold turkey withdrawal from dear Gizzy::

I do like that Ye Gappe t'shirt he wears, it moulds very well to him.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 13/09/2011 22:16

Are you still here, Spiro? I thought I had posted this last night but looking back I can't find it - maybe it was one of my many posts lost when MN threw me out. I don't really like vids with captions pointing out the obvious or telling me what to think, .

::have always loved Bob Dylan emoticon::

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 13/09/2011 22:17

And no, Massive, I wouldn't be sharing that pass the parcel or offering it to share it with (as they were at the time) 6 year olds.

SupermassiveLBD · 13/09/2011 22:37

Lovely vids, Spiro and Maud. Very wibble-worthy, both of them.

I am going to have to bail too, ladiez, I have an early start tonorrow. Not nice Sad

But if I am good and haul myself out of bed in good time, I might be able to squeeze some Gizzy time in. If I do, I shall watch extra-hard, LadyD, on your behalf as well as my own.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 13/09/2011 22:39

You're right. This has been a trying day and an early night is just the thing. Toodle-pip and knighty bitey knight.

LadyDamerel · 13/09/2011 22:48

Bed here too. I'd forgotten how manic the days are during term time.

Night!

And Massive, any of S2 will do me tomorrow. You are a noble friend to do such a thing for me and I will be forever in your debt. You only need ask if you want me to do the same for you any time.

SupermassiveLBD · 13/09/2011 22:54
ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 13/09/2011 23:00

::Looks back too::

Err, yes, Massive. I don't hold with this only watch the bits with Him in it and fast forward through the rest nonsense. I want ::adjusts drama critic glasses:: to appreciate the integrity of the piece, the quality of the writing and the nuances of all the performances which is why I never bothered with The Golden Hour.

As you know, we are in the midst of S2 here, so am happy to take one for the team. Again.

LadyDamerel · 13/09/2011 23:04

Er, nope Grin. What would be the point?

Or 13. Still trying to find the courage to make that leap!

Okay, S1 ep 5 & 6, if you watch 6 you get to see this look which is a particular favourite of mine.

LadyDamerel · 13/09/2011 23:09

Oh thank you Maud. I would be most grateful. I assume requesting episode 3 would displease MrT so Girl may choose.

How are you finding your time with Sylvester? He is my favourite of the 3 GH audiobooks (sorry, Jasper dear) so I am thrilled you are making his acquaintance.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 13/09/2011 23:10

::Looks back through half-closed lids::

I think we're past that one now, LadyD, but The Girl is so keen at the moment we'll probably be seeing it again before too long. There has certainly been a lot of high octane smouldering of late.

LadyDamerel · 13/09/2011 23:13

The smouldering reaches epic proportions towards the end of S2. I worry about the innards of the DVD player being exposed to so much excess heat.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 13/09/2011 23:14

::Looks back drowsily::

We had the ::ahem:: Ye Gappe t-shirt scene today but I have still to meet Sylvester. Eheu, as Molesworth would say.

LadyDamerel · 13/09/2011 23:21

So you're up to 2.6? Gizzy's softer side peeps out in 2.7 so I'll be happy with that. Thank you for your (and Girl's) selfless act.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 13/09/2011 23:31

::Side-tracked by Peter Ackroyd talking about the Romantics::

We've had 2.7 today and possibly a bit of 2.8.

::Not paying it my full attention::

It's been The Girl's choice, not mine. If it was up to me, I'd be helping her with this term's project on the Victorians.

DumSpiroSpero · 14/09/2011 07:51

Morning!

You are being terribly mean tempting me with S2 Gizzy when I have to work today to make up time from yesterday Sad.

I had Ricky Deeming waiting on the doorstep for me when I got home yesterday too.

We are also 'doing' Victorians this term Maud, although Miss S is currently refusing to watch North & South with me as 'you're supposed to have a crush on daddy, not Richard Armitage..." Blush Grin

OP posts:
PassTheTwiglets · 14/09/2011 09:11

Morning all. Spiro, sounds like it was very hard work yesterday! The screaming thing with girls does my HEAD IN. Why don't boys don't do it? What did she get for her birthday?

TwigBoy had a lovely day yesterday but he was a bit dramatic and tearful at times - I assumed it was over-excitement and tiredness but he's woken up this morning with a cold. So he's not at nursery today which is very annoying as I could've really done with the 2 hours this morning to tidy up the house from yesterday - the detritus is incredible.

We did Victorians 2 years ago, here. Looky-likey teacher in Victorian dress was rather nice - good job I didn't know about Mr Thornton back then :o

TheSmallPrint · 14/09/2011 10:53

Twigs, I don't know about Twigboy, but trust me when I say boys CAN scream. Loudly and regularly.

The only good thing about children's parties is eating the leftovers. I am currently on my 6th party ring with my tea. Bliss!

SupermassiveLBD · 14/09/2011 11:01

Hello, ladiez. Boo hoo! After all the wild speculation on which RH to watch, I didn't get to watch any

The offsprings' outing was cancelled, so i have had them around, sulking.

PassTheTwiglets · 14/09/2011 11:20

You have leftover party good todya, Small?! I don't expect ours to last beyond about 3pm. Oh dear GOD, I am a pig - this morning I have eaten:

4 slices pizza
1 slice birthday cake
2 cupcakes
chunk of camembert
salt & vinegar crisps (in my defence, only about 10 left)
cheese savouries (ditto)
Haribo

And it's only just 11am!! I had forgotten about the party rings until you mentioned them :)

DS shouts incredibly loudly but doesn't scream - perhaps I have that joy to come then!

Massive what a royal pain about the SuperBoys' oputing :( How many more weeks have you got left before they go back to school?
