Not entirely tasteful, but it's what we all hoped really isn't it?

Aaaaaaarrrrrrgh!

SupermassiveLBD · 13/09/2011 17:33

Are you all right, Spiro? That was a very heart-felt post.

I just did the burning the dinner manoeuvre in reverse. I forgot to put it on to cook Blush

LadyDamerel · 13/09/2011 17:35

::breathes deeply through paper bag::

For a dreadful moment there I thought Spiro's link was going to be an announcement that Recognise magazine had finally folded and we would never get to see the mythical article.

Is it just birthday ishoos, Spiro?

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 13/09/2011 17:39

Can't open Spiro's link. Is it to another thread? Where?

SupermassiveLBD · 13/09/2011 18:11

It's to the painting The Scream Maud.

l

SupermassiveLBD · 13/09/2011 18:12

What went wrong there??? Confused It looks as if I've been sampling it myself. Well, you get the general idea.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 13/09/2011 19:28

I'll join you in the jug of Polish cordial, Massive.

::shrinks self in manner of Alice and does an elegant backstroke in the cordial::

Aaaahhh. That's better.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 13/09/2011 20:10

::Peers over rim of the jug:

Oh my gosh. We have just had Flinge Flop A GoGo.

::Nearly drowns::

TheSmallPrint · 13/09/2011 20:15

My fringe is doing that today, for some reason it doesn't look quite as attractive on me. Grin

Spiro I take it one of the party attendees has driven you over edge?

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 13/09/2011 20:18

Are you working the Ye Gappe black t-shirt and leather look with it, Small?

Other people's children can be, ahem, challenging, I find.

TheSmallPrint · 13/09/2011 20:26

No Maud, perhaps that's where I'm going wrong? Although I finally wore my Ros league jacket out of the house at the weekend. I felt very self conscious about looking like mutton.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 13/09/2011 20:29

Ah, I did wonder about the Ros jacket as I posted that.

::stern::

You are a most comely lady so enough of this mutton rubbish. Wait 'til you get to my age.

TheSmallPrint · 13/09/2011 20:34

That should have said leather not league Confused. Maud I am not a brave or fashionable lady so feel very self conscious about things I wouldn't normally wear. Always have, even as a young skinny slip of a thing. Interestingly, Mr Small has now bought a Spooks jacket that suits him very well.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 13/09/2011 20:44

So, are you now the Ros and Adam (it was Adam she snogged, wasn't it? it was all so long ago) of SmallsVille?

TheSmallPrint · 13/09/2011 20:51

Hmm he's too dark for Adam...

PassTheTwiglets · 13/09/2011 20:56

LOL at Spiro's The Scream pic :) Hope you are still with us to fight another day, S! Have just got an exhausted TwigBoy into bed (he was white as a sheet and melting down with tiredness, bless him) and am off for a glass of Prosecco and then going to bed myself not soon after!

SMall, a Spooks jacket? I am intrigued - linky?

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 13/09/2011 20:57

I was thinking of the general vibe, Small, but this is your cue to remind us that he bears a similarity to another thesp who has appeared in Spooks.

PassTheTwiglets · 13/09/2011 20:57

MrM's one, I mean, not your Ros one (as I know what that looks like).

TheSmallPrint · 13/09/2011 21:06

No resemblance there either Maud, just the northernness and height!

Twigs I have no idea where he got it so can't link. Glad Twigboy had a good day Smile enjoy the Prosecco.

SupermassiveLBD · 13/09/2011 21:19

I am glad you survived the day, the offspring had fun and it was worth all the hard work. I do hope Spiro is still in one piece.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 13/09/2011 21:35

::Refills the jug of Polish cordial, ready for Spiro's return::

DumSpiroSpero · 13/09/2011 21:52

Spiro I take it one of the party attendees has driven you over edge?

If only it was just the one, we had amongst the guests:

Little Miss Bad Loser
Little Miss Nose-in-Everything and
Little Miss Away With The Fairies

...Quite apart from which I'd forgotten in the space of 12 months how much noise 10 little girls can make - it was deafening...and then some. Why do they feel the need to scream for fun?

On the whole though, it went pretty well considering it was my first one without serious back-up (aka Miss Spiro's 'Fairy' Godmother Grin). She finally went to bed at half 9 and I intend to be following fairly quickly!

TheSmallPrint · 13/09/2011 21:58

Right ladies, off to see if I can get more than 5 hours sleep tonight Bitey Knighty all.

SupermassiveLBD · 13/09/2011 21:58
SupermassiveLBD · 13/09/2011 21:59

Small, you can share that one too. Knighty knighty. Wine
