Not entirely tasteful, but it's what we all hoped really isn't it?

Well, I suppose the Womaniser will have to contain himself till morning.

I'm off too. Better check the portakabin, first, though, we don't want Uzi getting locked in there.
Sweet dReAms, all.

SupermassiveLBD · 09/09/2011 23:26

That vid was beautiful, Maud, and worthy of a proper look at tomorrow

Goodnight!

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 09/09/2011 23:37

::Looks back at you, bleary-eyed::

Even though I am not a connoisseur of matters Lucasian, I thought so, Massive. I found another one, too, which I will unveil to an eager world some time over the weekend, although I have Things To Do and ought not to be here. But you know how it is ...

Off to beddy byes. Sweet dreams.

DumSpiroSpero · 10/09/2011 07:04

Maud - that vid was a lovely way to start the morning. Will have to watch it (and the Elgar one) later, with sound (Miss S lurking at the mo).

Loving Twigs Mr T. comments, but surely if you're going to 'pity da fool' you need this pic?

DumSpiroSpero · 10/09/2011 07:09

Just stumbled across this....ROFL Grin!

OP posts:
PassTheTwiglets · 10/09/2011 07:38

LOL at your pity da fool pic, Spiro! That article was funny but did you see this bit: Nine o?clock is my bedtime and I don?t think there should be snogging before then. That was so his mum behind that one!

Thanks for Womanizer, Massive!

PassTheTwiglets · 10/09/2011 07:45
The vid itself isn't that exciting and there are some icky scenes in it, but I am inordinately fond of the chorus and visuals to go with it :) Posting now as not going to be around tonight.
DumSpiroSpero · 10/09/2011 07:54

Are you up to something exciting then Twigs? Lucky you.

We have a kids party from 4-6pm. Lousy time imho, but it will give me an opportunity to see if Recognise Magazine is actually on the shelves yet.

That article about the snogging was pretty vomit inducing anyway. FGS we used have to put up with Dallas & Dynasty when we were kids!

DumSpiroSpero · 10/09/2011 08:02

Love the vid btw - another tune for the download list!

OP posts:
PassTheTwiglets · 10/09/2011 08:04

Nah, nothing exciting, just loads of telly to fit in!

Oh, that party timing is indeed suckworthy! Hope it's ok - let us know about the magazine!

BelleDameSansMerci · 10/09/2011 08:07

My God, you lot are prolific! Can't keep up with you - but will keep trying.

PassTheTwiglets · 10/09/2011 08:15

Hello, Belle! Yes, we do move fast, don't we? I usually try to catch up but I went away for 3 days recently and it was impossible! Good to hear from you again, anyhow!

DumSpiroSpero · 10/09/2011 09:11

Hi Belle! How's it going?

Just a thought - I know it's a little way off but how's everyone fixed for an Academy party on Saturday 24th?

It's the nearest weekend to our 'anniversary' and from a personal POV - I will have a DH free evening so can MN and YT with impunity!

OP posts:
PassTheTwiglets · 10/09/2011 09:36

ROFL, I misread that as "impurity" - how appropriate :o

Anniversary party definitely sounds good. And isn't your birthday around that week or so? It can be a double-whammy party.

DumSpiroSpero · 10/09/2011 09:53

Yes - 24th is smack in the middle as it happens!

TheSmallPrint · 10/09/2011 09:54

Morning all, I'm HOME! The curtains, the paintings the Lucas vids, womanizer even!

Can we try and find some happy Lucas vids? I know that's an impossible task but I need to not think about the beautiful man's demise parachuting stunt. Although saying that, I loved the Bring The Fire vid Twigs, I also really like that song.

Anyway, I haven't come empty handed here is the first .

TheSmallPrint · 10/09/2011 09:55

Spiro good luck today. I am cleaning house ready for tomorrow's onslaught.

DumSpiroSpero · 10/09/2011 09:58

Yo -Small! How's it going?

It's not our party today - it's another little girls in DD's class. Ours is after school on Tuesday.

How's the cake? Miss S has just agreed to a photo cake from the supremarket thank goodness!

OP posts:
TheSmallPrint · 10/09/2011 10:01

Do you know what? Mr Small brought home a Tesco Cars cake yesterday. he said after my last effort he assumed I wouldn't be making one Shock Angry. So now I am in two minds as to whether to bother or not.

DumSpiroSpero · 10/09/2011 10:10

Why give yourself the aggro - not to mention the expense?
(Bit of a bloody cheek on Mr Small's part though!)

Before I was on term-time only I used to book a week holiday between DD's birthday and mine so I had lots of time for it all.

These days I just take the easy option. I'd rather be relaxed and enjoy her enjoying it.

OP posts:
TheSmallPrint · 10/09/2011 10:13

these past couple of weeks have been really stressful and wearing so I don't know why I would want t give myself the aggro but I kind of feel bad if I don't now. It's that working mother guilt kicking in Sad. I suppose now he's bought it we should just use it. It also means I don't have so much to do today.

PassTheTwiglets · 10/09/2011 10:13

Yay, Small!!!

Loving the Benny Hill Spooks, as always :) Cheeky MrM about your cake! As for whether to bother or not, I'd go by whether it's something you feel you want to do. Smallboy will probably like the Tesco one just as much as a homemade one, so if you're too busy or don't want to try then save yourself the job. But if you feel a need to do it then go for it, regardless of what anybody says.

Happy Lucas vids, eh? Will go on a mission, later.

PassTheTwiglets · 10/09/2011 10:15

Cross-posts. If it's just that you'll feel guilty, then don't do it - give yourself a break!! Honestly, as long as it's a Cars cake he won't be aware whether you've made it or not. Spiro is right - you need to try to get as much enjoyment out of his birthday as possible and giving yourself fewer jobs to do sounds very sensible to me.

There, the Academy gavel has struck :)

PassTheTwiglets · 10/09/2011 10:18

Also, it frees up time for other things
