Not entirely tasteful, but it's what we all hoped really isn't it?

Oh and can any of you mums-of-boys suggest a suitable generic present for an 8yo boy? We've just been invited to a party with 3 days notice and I know nothing about the boy at all...

TheSmallPrint · 14/09/2011 11:27

Lego Starwars? Or some Lego Hero type thing? Usually go down well here. A couple of times we have received Game vouchers so SBmajor can put it towards a DS or Wii game he might be angling for?

Party rings were over stocked here as there were lots of sweet foods, I finished the pink wafers yesterday but they are only made of air and pink cloud so don't count in my calorie intake.

TheSmallPrint · 14/09/2011 11:28

Or Dr Who stuff? Football for his favourite team?

PassTheTwiglets · 14/09/2011 11:31

But I don't know a single thing about him so no idea what his favourite football team is or whether he's into Dr Who etc. Perhaps I'll have to get MissTwigs to ask him what he likes. Dammit though, no time to buy anything off amazon so have to go to proper shops. Lego a great idea though - everyone loves Lego, right?

:o @ air and pink cloud

SupermassiveLBD · 14/09/2011 12:00

Lego is good, I agree. My lot have been brought up on it from the Duplo age.

I await next Monday, Twigs, with considerable eagerness. Trouble is, the first week is always a bit of a fiasco. Home at odd times etc. but that too will pass.

Oooh cake. I need cake. but I am too darn lazy to go out and get some/ bake one myself. I suppose it's as well, in view of the calories. Wink I don' t want Richie to start getting snippy at having me slung across his saddle.

DumSpiroSpero · 14/09/2011 12:34

Small & Twigs - you had leftovers? Envy

All we had left was carrot batons & cherry tomatoes, I was forced to order a curry for dinner last night, forced I tell you! Grin

SupermassiveLBD · 14/09/2011 17:20

I don't know about that song, Small, but there is some absofaluting great boot porn there at the beginning.

That pic is yummy indeed, Spiro. Well researched Grin

TheSmallPrint · 14/09/2011 17:20

Thought you might like it Massive once you had put the ear plugs in

DumSpiroSpero · 14/09/2011 17:25

Ah, how sweet, Spiro I love teddies since I was never bought one and it still rankles . You can get your own Tennyson, if you are wandering lonely as a cloud, and there is a Harry too, if you are Spooky..

DumSpiroSpero · 14/09/2011 17:45

I was helping a colleague find one for her son when that came up and gave me a bit of a chuckle this afternoon.

I must admit though, our latest addition is a helpful little soul...

Oh, cute, Spiro. I am loving the Converses. Has she got a name yet?

DumSpiroSpero · 14/09/2011 17:54

Vanessa - they're actually real Sketchers. I want my own pair!

I don't know if any of you guys sew at all, but check out this website. I haven't had cause to visit it for a while and they've got so much more stock than last time I looked - it's gorgeous!

Grandad is making Vanessa a bed so she's going to need a quilt and pillow...Hmm Blush Grin
