No keyboard - it's touchscreen - like an iPhone or iPod touch...

Hi Lady V, we have an iPad and so does my mum and also my FIL! Massive the 'keyboard' comes up on the screen and you just touch it - same as the iPhone. DH has got a separate keyboard for his too, not sure why

I am absolutely loving this iPad - I've been looking at some ::cough:: pictures and they are just beautiful - will definitely have to delete my browsing history though....

Yes it's very good for pictures!

We have just downloaded the Sky App for it but it's only for premium packages at the moment, I'm hoping they add the normal channels quickly so I can hide under the duvet and watch SB.

Hmm, I didn't realise the use it would be to further my Obsession. Darn, I have widely pontificated about how i would never get one in a million years.

Spiro, so pleased for you about your job - what a relief! Are you going to book Yorkshire now? I hope your uncle is ok and not too worried. Sorry your mum is getting nervous, Small. Horrible time, isn't it?

Massive, I do feel for you - anything over about 70 degrees has me collapsed on the floor in a wilted heap, so I really sympathise.

Well we had a really nice day, against all expectations! The children played really nicely together (not one argument!) and DrTwigs and I got to sit down and watch them a lot of the time so it was quite relaxing! We will make a decision tomorrow about whether to go but it all seems like so much bother now as will involve driving down to mum's, then getting tube in, then carrying luggage all over London for the first day which we wouldn't have had to do today (long story). LadyV, we were supposed to stay in Covent Garden but had plans to travel all over the place. We were going to the Royal Observatory in Greenwich and there were lots of people gathering there today, apparently.

Anyway, how about something amusing to brighten all this doom and gloom? Look at the new photo on my profile :o

86 degrees?!?!

We drive past it today. I've been there before, a year or so ago, but not thought much of it until now :) There is a housing estate there with all the roads named after Tolkein characters and we go past it once a year or so. As we drove past it today, I said to DH "ok, you HAVE to take my photo there!" :)
