I am brain-dead tonight so this is rubbish - just a place-holder. Please do something else if you can think of a decent one!

PassTheTwiglets · 14/07/2011 20:40

DumSpiroSpero · 14/07/2011 20:43

In a word - yes!

PassTheTwiglets · 14/07/2011 20:55

I think we should remind ourselves of this interview gem:

^What type of girl would you go for?
RA: Someone a bit naughty. And who likes food^

Evening Maud! Awww, is there anybody who doesn't love The Diamond?

OP posts:
ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 14/07/2011 21:53

I've always been a fashion maven, LadyDamerel.

::preens::

::while the other ladies are involved in this unseemly scuffle, escorts Mr Thornton to the canasta table and offers him a snog cheering glass of Polish cordial::

LadyDamerel · 14/07/2011 21:55

I have a dreadful confession to make.

I don't know any Neil Diamond songs Blush.

I don't know why. I don't think I even know what he looks like. I'm a mid70's born girl, is that why I missed out?

TheSmallPrint · 14/07/2011 21:57

Who am I? What am I doing here? Who's that handsome chap playing cards with the funny lady in the jumpsuit?

PassTheTwiglets · 14/07/2011 21:57

Why is it so dark and stuffy in here? Where am I?

OP posts:
TheSmallPrint · 14/07/2011 22:00

That is nonexcuse Lady D everyone should know Neil Diamond!

TheSmallPrint · 14/07/2011 22:01

Right then. A Neil Diamond tutorial for LadyDamerel (not that I am qualified to teach on this subject).

He is tall, dark and gifted in the chest hair department. He has been a recording artist for 40 years and has written some cracking songs, ranging from the to .

Further study material is (as ever) available in the Bibliotheque de YouTube.

TheSmallPrint · 14/07/2011 22:04
Shock
PassTheTwiglets · 14/07/2011 22:06

ROFL, Small!!

Y'know, I feel like I may have gone to a Neil Diamond showcase at work once...not sure if I imagined that though.

OP posts:
ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 14/07/2011 22:07

I am not going to respond to the mid-70s thing, LadyDamerel, except to say that (as you'll know if you've been a longtime lurker student quietly studying at the back of the class) several of us here are devotees of music recorded long before we were born and so the fact that you entered this life about a decade after lovely Neil's first hits is no excuse for ignorance of his oeuvre.

::Adjusts jumpsuit and gets back to the canasta table, where - encouraged by a Neil Diamond soundtrack - things are getting pretty lively::
