Of course, I am violently allergic to cats...

The only picture we have of the Dean is not overly flattering but in my head he looks a little more like this

Come in, enjoy, help yourself to Twiglets.
Yours sincerely, a Fair Trespasser.

Knickers only make me larf if someone has tucked their skirt into them

The times I have done this too Blush Always on occasions when I want to feel at my most soignee and glam...

I can all guess what you're thinking, and it would be just my luck.

SupermassiveLBD · 04/06/2011 22:22

Small could you do a ceramic plaque or tiile or something, for loo doors? One that says ''have you remembered to check your knickers are not on show???'' in flashing neon lights.

TheSmallPrint · 04/06/2011 22:27

Your right Maud, sometimes it doesn't matter how much you try and persuade, some people will still insist on making their mark! Nothing really wierd Spiro, sorry to be so dull! You don't need to be a lottery winner to hire me, a packet of chocolate hobnobs will sort it.

You're not your!

DumSpiroSpero · 04/06/2011 22:36

I'd need the lottery win to pay for the rest of it though Small, but I'll remember your generous 'hire for hobnobs' offer if I ever get lucky Grin - plain or milk?

The plain ones were responsible for most of my post-DD weight gain...

PasstheTwiglets · 04/06/2011 22:38

I love Annie Hall, Manhattan, Hannah & Her Sisters... biut earlier or later than that and I'm decidely meh about it.

Pants are funnier than knickers though. Pants is an amusing fake swearword for me. I increase the emphasis by adding a surname which must, for some reason, be Scottish. So if you have lost your keys you may mutter "oh, pants!" but if you have just dropped scalding hot coffee on you then you would need something like "Pants McTavish!!"

Well helloooooooooo Jason Isaacs! (ad just on, for some telly prog tomorrow).

::Weeps::

::Commits heresy::

This LOTR is a heap of overblown, CGI-dependent ::cough:: nonsense. You may have to watch Thorin Oakenshield for me.

SupermassiveLBD · 04/06/2011 22:45

Maud ,dear! What has brought this on?

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 04/06/2011 22:51

Spending the last half hour or so watching LOTR. It's just not my thing and I'm not sure I can face sitting through a whole film - which will be what? 3 hours - for the sake of seeing Mr Thornton wearing the wrong clothes and a novelty wig.

::sobs::

PasstheTwiglets · 04/06/2011 22:57

Well I bloomin' love LOTR! I can totally understand people not liking it however. In fact, had I not fallen in love with the book first, many moons ago, I may not have loved the film so much.

I must away. But not before pointing out to Maud and Small (who hasn't seen it yet - not sure about you, Maud?) that Rory rocked tonight. He has been bumped up a few places on The List now.

Night all!

SupermassiveLBD · 04/06/2011 22:58

You will just have to wait for the DVD then Maud so you can fast forward to the Armitagey bits.

Besides ,you never know, Thorin may be splendiferous

Hi-ho, hi-ho, it's off to work we go...

TheSmallPrint · 04/06/2011 23:00

I understand your sentiment Maud, I fell asleep at the cinema when watching it and got bores just watching the last 20 mins or so earlier. Not sure I can watch the Hobbit either but I suspect I will give it a go, just for research purposes.

Milk Spiro, please. Grin

Twigs I know I am going to start saying that now!

DumSpiroSpero · 04/06/2011 23:04

Was talking with H about The Hobbit this evening - he has actually read it but knows less of the storyline than me Grin!

Ooh - tenuous drivel really, but my hairdressers daughter's boyfriend has got a part I'm the next series of Spooks!

SupermassiveLBD · 04/06/2011 23:05

I enjoyed LOTR myself though I didn't care for the book. But I like fantastical sorts of things.

SupermassiveLBD · 04/06/2011 23:07

A shame he didn't get his skates on and get a part in the previous series. Spiro!

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 04/06/2011 23:08

We are an hour behind you, Small, as we are watching on C4+1. Thank heavens for MN.

::Resists urge to throw something at the lovely new televisual apparatus::

Yes, but even on fast forward Mr Thornton will be wearing dreadful clothes (most of the hobbits seen to be clad in recycled blankets) and I dare say there won't be a cravat to be seen anywhere. And what if there's some dreadful Gandalf-style cotton wool beard? That NZ fundraiser sketch may have been a genuine preview after all.

I saw a bit of Doctor Who but didn't really attend to it. Are you spotting a theme here?

DumSpiroSpero · 04/06/2011 23:09

You know the kids book 'Pants'?

When we saw Nick Sharratt last week he did the same kind of thing, but with all different sorts of dogs (i.e. 'Pretty little pink dog - making a rude stink dog' complete with farty sound effects!).

If you haven't had it already its worth getting 'Pants' with the CD narrated & sung by Penny Henry.

DumSpiroSpero · 04/06/2011 23:15

...or even Lenny Henry!

SupermassiveLBD · 04/06/2011 23:18

Maud, you will just have to imagine poor Mr Thornton has fallen on Hard Times and can only dress in homespun, with a scraggly beard because he can't afford a decent shave.

Nor can he find anyone to launder his FWSs and cravats.

SupermassiveLBD · 04/06/2011 23:19

I was sort of wondering if Lenny had a sister I'd not heard of, Spiro Grin

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 04/06/2011 23:23

Did anyone hear Lenny on the wireless this morning, exploring the music of the Pogues? I think I heart Lenny.

Oooh look. It's Mr Jackman in X-Men with some rather simian facial hair.

SupermassiveLBD · 04/06/2011 23:32

Oh dear, I think I shall have to say goodnight. Have fun, everyone, and see you tomorrow. Maybe in a new Building too. Whose turn is it next?

Sweet dReAms all, anyway.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 04/06/2011 23:33

Good night!

PasstheTwiglets · 05/06/2011 06:48

Oh Spiro, I got all excited for a minute - I tend to call Rupert Penry-Jones "Rupert Penry Henry", so I misread your post and thought he was narrating "Pants" :)

Poor early morning Twigs!

There is a new CA trailer out, but blink and you'll miss our Heinz, I didn't spot him anyway. Though I was sneezing more than blinking, must be the high pollen count
